Chapter 1339: Chapter 1339: Mason Nightshade Unconscious, Abnormal Brain Activity

Alaric Wood is so clever, could he not know what the Mafia would do to him after he’s been captured?

"Alaric, I’m sorry."

Alaric suddenly froze, looking at the expression on Aurelia Shaw’s face, he knew exactly what she was apologizing for.

"Little Dove, never say these three words to me, okay?"

I don’t want these words to appear between us.

What I need is never just an apology from you.

For everything I’ve done for you, I never expected to hear those words from you.

"We’ve left the Capital City borders, should we head straight to M Nation?" Vaila Mook pointed at the computer.

"Yes."

Alaric Wood nodded without a moment’s hesitation.

He didn’t want to stay here even for a second.

Every day he stayed, he couldn’t be at ease, he had to take Little Dove to his territory.

Alaric turned back and smiled at Aurelia Shaw, "Little Dove, when we get back, I’ll tell you all the things you want to know."

Vaila couldn’t help but glance at Alaric. Ever since his past consciousness resurfaced, he hadn’t smiled.

She had worked with him for so many years and rarely saw him smile.

Indeed, only in front of the people he cared about did he show a relaxed smile.

It’s not that he doesn’t smile, it’s just that he’s not smiling at you.

Vaila’s fingers maneuvered the computer, quickly locating the base location.

Meanwhile, at the hospital.

Doctors surrounded Mason Nightshade, conducting various precise examinations. Almost all of the nation’s top doctors were present, examining him inside and out. He didn’t have any external injuries but remained unconscious.

The doctors were quite puzzled.

"Major General’s brain CT seems a bit unusual," a doctor said, frowning at the CT results.

Adrian Cooper frowned and signaled Junia Simpson with his eyes.

Junia understood and stepped forward, taking the CT images before the other doctors could crowd in to look.

Just as the doctors wanted them back, Adrian Cooper spoke up, "Dr. Simpson has been taking care of Major General’s health; she knows his condition better than anyone else. Besides, I’ve always had great faith in the Simpson family’s medical skills. Please assist Dr. Simpson in caring for Major General."

Initially, the doctors felt resentful towards Junia because of her young age. But upon hearing Adrian mention the Simpson family, they widened their eyes.

Could it be the legendary Simpson family renowned for their superb medical skills?

The Simpson family members were all highly skilled in medicine, yet very mysterious. It was said that years ago, an internal conflict nearly wiped out the Simpsons. Unexpectedly, this young lady before them was one of them.

The disdain ingrained in the old doctors quickly vanished as they eagerly gathered around Junia Simpson, hoping to seize the chance to learn a trick or two.

Junia dealt with those doctors and breathed out a sigh, carefully studying the CT scans.

"Mr. President, the Major General’s brain cells are more active than those of a normal person, especially in the right brain. His right brain is exceptionally active, but if this level of activity surpasses the overall activity of the body, it can cause headaches and even severe brain damage."

Junia was puzzled.

Such a situation only occurs after the brain experiences intense stimulation, but Night had never suffered any brain injury. What could be causing this?

Seeing Junia’s troubled expression, Adrian glanced at Mason Nightshade and sighed.

The matter of rebirth, Mason hadn’t detailed it to him, but it’s not something that could be accomplished easily.

Perhaps even Mason himself couldn’t remember the price he paid to return here.

At this moment, Mason Nightshade woke up.

Mason Nightshade opened his eyes and realized he was in the hospital, "Where’s Aurelia?"
