Chapter 507 507: Nuclear Measures
Back At The Desert:
Lyren blasted forwards, raising up a cloud of sand, as his giant wolf form, leaped off the desert sands to crash into the chopper. One of its blades smashed into Lyren, flinging the Animech away, hut still deforming the blade as it sent the helicopter careening to the left.
But Cole watched as it’s secondary engines came alive immediately righting the helicopter and saving it from a rather nasty crash, until Lyren came over and batted the tail of the helicopter out of the air. The screams of the pilot and the passenger amusing to Cole as they called for back up and screamed into their coms about a giant mechanical dog/wolf
Cole chuckled, there’s no place like home. The helicopter went into an uncontrolled spin, Cole had to give props to the pilot. The man had a lot of control, so much more than Cole would have thought possible. But then again that’s expected, even with one arm Cole was dangerous, they will only send the best after him.
*Whoooooooosh!* 𝘪𝑎.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Cole’s attention was drawn to a streak of light in the sky that was coming ever close to him. He furrowed his eyebrows, ignoring Lyren as the giant Animech caught the Helicopter out of the air, by holding it’s tail in his jaw, preventing it from crashing as he began to run around the desert around it.
“Morgan….. what’s that?” Cole asked, as he cocked his head to side, his eyes narrowing in annoyance at what he suspected it was.
[Not good master! An alert just went up for the area, apparently the world Council are testing out new lethal sub-sonic nuclear warheads. Ten times the yield for ten times less the radius. A very focused tool of death, they really want to kill you Master.]
This was probably the best weapon they could throw at him while he was on world. Anything more than this and they risk fucking up the earth’s atmosphere or destroying the planet as a whole. But with them going this far it just made Cole wonder even more just what had happened while he was gone, it’s only been four months, how could so much change in just four months.
“Lyren hurry up, there’s a nuke coming….think you can deal with that? Or should I handle it?” Cole asked the Animech as he laid back down on the sand to keep looking at the sky, his eyes so advanced that they weren’t even affected by the sun as he looked up. The nuke got closer and closer as Lyren spun, his form shifting from giant wolf to giant wolf man robot. Turning into his full Animech form he grabbed the body of the chopper and spun, flinging the aircraft into the air.
Cole watched as the bird got smaller until it let the warhead that had been gradually getting bigger in his sight.
*BOOM!* .
Extreme and intense waves of radiation spread out, this time even being more directed as they still rushed in Cole’s direction, a cloud of fiery orange, burning and melting everything it came in contact with ad the ground beneath Cole turned to glass even before the blast reached him.
[Gravity Rings]
Cole spread the rings wide, pushing it far and as wide as it could go, a whooping 5 kilometers, surprising Cole, as that meant the skill had probably leveled up. There were more rings now, five of them as he cancelled gravity in the entire area and then created a gravity storm that kept the blast contained. This was so he wouldn’t get attacked from the back. Lyren shifted to his much larger Mechanoid form as he came to stand besides Cole.
“That thing is alive.” Cole was confused looking at the cloud of fire and radiation suspended in the air above him.
[That is indeed true Master, I can sense some sort of rudimentary intelligence from it, but it’s faint. Buried deep.]
The world really was changing, it was not just the people who were changing and getting more powerful, even weapons have changed. Terrains have changed, soon enough the other life on the planet and the universe will change, acclimatize To the new reality and energy.
“An intelligent Nuclear Warhead, a living weapon of mass genocide….. that’s just so much….Chaos.” Cole said as he used Gravity to compress the blast, making it smaller and smaller until it was the size of an egg and glowing with piercing glowing light.
“You think Peronico is going to love this new toy Razor?” Cole asked the diminutive consciousness of his adoptive little brother.
“I’d rather you give it to me instead, the things I can do with that. Could make a potion that would make anyone who drinks it explode.” Cole furrowed his eyebrows.
“Who would drink a potion that would make them explode?” The consciousness shook his head as he said with a matter of fact tone
“They’re not going to know that it’s a potion that’s supposed to make them explode!” Cole chuckled as the sound of another aircraft this time a jet came into range. He deactivated [Gravity Rings] as the first thing he noticed was the symbol of a black wolf, sitting underneath a night tree underneath a night sky. That was no World Council logo, that was the sigil of the [Company Of The Wolf], his pack.
Cole let out a sigh of relief as he waited for the jet to come to stop in front of him, hovering above him. The jet had not even touched down, when the wolves all jumped off, not all of them were here, just about a dozen of them. They quickly moved around Cole, forming a perimeter as they looked around to ensure that there was no threat to Cole.
He smiled, they were stronger, all of them. Raens grew at an extremely rapid rate, even just a day is enough for a Raen to completely eclipse their competition. They sought battles and trials, like steel through flame. The more heat they went through the tougher they became.
Eze followed right after a long with Farida, before Tehilla brought up the rear. Cole took in a deep breath, she was different. She obviously had become what he was, a devil, but she had scale like patterns of blue and purple, on her skin, a split spear tip shaped tail or tails, golden eyes and wings, huge black and purple wings.
Cole’s heart broke when he looked up at her face, but only one eye stared back at him, the other covered under a silver patch. He really has missed a lot.
