Chapter 1031 A Plan To Attack Mauriss

Chapter 1031 A Plan To Attack Mauriss

(A Few Days Later, Five Great Clans Council, Virtual Conclave)

A silent expanse of darkness stretched endlessly in every direction as six thrones slowly materialized within the virtual space, each

positioned so their occupants faced one another directly while the vast emptiness around them remained undisturbed and oppressive in its stillness.

One by one, the projections of the universe’s most powerful beings appeared.

Mu Shen arrived first, stern and rigid, followed by a visibly frustrated Du Trask.

Ru Vassa materialized next, her cold gaze shadowed by the scar Mauriss had left behind.

Lu Han appeared calm and observant, while Yu Kiro watched the gathering in thoughtful silence.

Finally, Kaelith’s throne illuminated, his composed presence immediately steadying the tense atmosphere.

For several long seconds none of them spoke, as the six thrones faced one another in silence while each god measured the others carefully before Mu Shen finally broke the stillness.

“We should attack Granada in the coming months,” he said firmly, his voice carrying certainty as he leaned forward slightly while his eyes moved across the other gods seated before him.

“That madman Mauriss has already attacked Ru Vassa once and nearly killed her, and now he hides on that ocean world while continuing to destabilize the universe as if daring us to respond.”

Du Trask nodded immediately, his deep voice rumbling with

impatience as he spoke while his large hands clenched slowly against the armrests of his throne.

“I agree,” he said.

“If the six of us descend upon Granada together, Mauriss will have nowhere to run and this problem will end before he causes any more chaos. I haven’t been able to rest lately, worrying he might materialize anytime to assassinate me.”

Ru Vassa’s eyes glinted faintly at those words as she nodded, the restrained fury beneath her calm voice becoming unmistakable as she spoke.

“I would very much like to see this end as soon as we can,” she said coldly.

“I think we should take the fight to him, rather than waiting for him to strike first. There’s no saying what that madman does next, so I think it’s best we attack first.”

She suggested, as Lu Han seemed to disagree with her words and wagged his finger in disapproval.

“That would be unwise, I don’t think we should do that….”

Lu Han began, as everyone’s gaze shifted toward him.

“You believe we should wait?” Mu Shen asked.

Lu Han shook his head slowly, his expression calm as his eyes moved across the five other thrones.

“I believe we should think this over again.”

“Mauriss is not called the Deceiver without reason, and attacking his home domain is precisely the mistake he would want us to make.”

Ru Vassa narrowed her eyes slightly as she considered the statement, the scar on the back of her neck reminding her of how easily Mauriss had already outmaneuvered her once before.

“You believe he has prepared traps?” she asked.

Lu Han gave a faint nod as he answered without hesitation.

“I would be shocked if he had not,” he said.

“Granada is an ocean world with a single exposed landmass, which alone should make any strategist suspicious of confronting an enemy

there.”

Du Trask frowned slightly while considering the implication as his gaze shifted toward Kaelith.

“You believe the entire planet may already be prepared for battle?”

“Possibly,” Yu Kiro said, as he joined the conversation.

“And if that is the case, then attacking him there would mean fighting on ground he has already shaped for years with the sole intention of turning our own strength against us.”

At that moment Kaelith finally spoke, his calm voice instantly commanding the attention of every God present as the discussion

halted.

“Yu Kiro is correct.”

The others turned toward him as he continued speaking with quiet

certainty.

“Mauriss survives not because he is stronger than us, but because he understands how to control the battlefield and manipulate the

choices of those who oppose him.”

“If we march to Granada, then we fight him on his terms.”

Mu Shen leaned back slightly in his throne while exhaling slowly, the frustration visible in his expression as he studied Kaelith.

“So what do you propose?”

Kaelith’s expression remained composed as he answered without

hesitation.

“We flush him out.”

Ru Vassa tilted her head slightly while studying him with renewed

interest.

“And how exactly do you intend to do that?”

Kaelith folded his hands together calmly as he explained.

“Mauriss thrives on chaos and conflict, provoking the universe repeatedly because he enjoys watching how others react to his actions.”

A faint smile appeared across his face.

“So we give him something worth reacting to.”

Lu Han’s eyes sharpened immediately as he understood the

implication.

“A trap.”

Yu Kiro nodded slowly in approval while adding his own condition to

the plan.

“On neutral ground.”

“A battlefield where Mauriss cannot rely on hidden preparations or

environmental advantages.”

Mu Shen exhaled slowly while considering the strategy, the tension in

his shoulders easing slightly.

“You expect him to walk into that willingly?”

Kaelith’s smile deepened faintly as his golden eyes gleamed with quiet

confidence.

“Oh, he will.”

“Men like Mauriss cannot resist the thrill of the hunt and the

temptation of proving themselves superior.”

For several moments the six rulers remained silent as the strategy settled among them, each god quietly evaluating the risks and advantages before Ru Vassa finally spoke again.

“Very well,” she said calmly.

“But when he shows himself…”

Her eyes hardened slightly as her voice carried a cold promise.

“I want the first strike.”

Du Trask let out a low chuckle as he leaned back comfortably.

“That,” he said with clear amusement, “is something we can all agree

on.”

Across from them Yu Kiro remained silent while watching the others carefully, his mind continuing to analyze the situation even as the meeting drew closer to its conclusion.

Because while the council believed they were preparing a trap for Mauriss, the Deceiver was almost certainly preparing a trap of his

own.
