Time Travel: The Heroine Has Arrived!
Chapter 2183: Honeymoon Side Story—Campus Scum Abuse Chronicle (Part 3)
Gu Shengyin, without any psychological burden, turned around with her backpack and headed out the door.
These things, even the words she had just spoken, were once done to her by these very people.
Yet when those people were abusing others, the venomous words they casually uttered probably didn’t even linger in their own minds.
Only now, when they experience it themselves, will they perhaps realize how terrifying it is?
By this time, there were hardly any people left in the school, and Gu Shengyin, walking alone there, seemed entirely inconspicuous.
With her backpack on her back, she followed the memory of this body’s direction, slowly walking in a specific direction.
After taking several twists and turns, finally, after passing through one secluded alleyway after another, Gu Shengyin arrived at her “home.”
It would be hard to imagine, without witnessing it, that in such a developed city as City B, there could be such dilapidated areas.
The ground was riddled with pits, black dirty water flowing freely along the uneven gutters, emitting a sour and foul smell in the already warm April weather.
Next to little stalls on electric tricycles, people squatted on the roadside on small plastic stools eating, and some families even boldly hung their intimate clothing outside to dry.
Gu Shengyin, with a wooden expression, passed through all of this and turned into an old building on the left.
This place was very rundown, with various scratches on the walls where white paint had peeled off to reveal grayish mud. The hallway was chaotic, cluttered with all sorts of trash, and the couple on the second floor was arguing again.
Gu Shengyin frowned slightly and headed for the third floor.
She took out her key and unlocked the door.
It was a small one-bedroom apartment, though tiny, it had been tidied up as cleanly as possible.
Without a refrigerator, Gu Shengyin glanced at a small area demarcated as a kitchen, finding only a half-eaten package of noodles and two scallions.
She had no appetite, sitting on the bed and starting to recall the experiences of this body.
Zhou Qi’s parents had divorced when she was very young, and her mother left the city without any hesitation, never to be heard from again.
Her father, too, despised this burden, throwing his young daughter to his elderly mother and reveling in nightlife outside.
From a young age, Zhou Qi’s memories only contained her grandmother, who would cook fragrant egg noodles for her.
Her father, whom she saw only a few times a year, would always loudly scold her disdainfully whenever they met.
Then, at the age of ten, she received news of that man’s death—an abrupt death from excessive drinking.
Her grandmother wept bitterly, but Zhou Qi remained expressionless.
To her grandmother, her father was her flesh and blood, but to Zhou Qi, that man was merely someone she loathed even more than a stranger.
Such experiences from a young age led to Zhou Qi’s inferior and timid personality.
Throughout her schooling, she was always like an invisible person in every class, constantly lowering her head and hunching her shoulders, wishing the whole world would ignore her.
Added to that were the whispers and gossip, claiming she was a wild child without parents. Her classmates, noticing that besides her school uniform, she only wore those two old pieces of clothing, naturally looked down on her.
From a young age in school, she became the target of everyone’s bullying.
Tens of children didn’t know what malice truly was.
Perhaps they also didn’t understand how their casual, reckless bullying could scar a young heart so deeply.
