Time Travel: The Best Doctor in Ancient Times
Chapter 1773 - 1378: This Man Is Mine, Still Mine!
Zhou Mu and Shi Wujue, both of noble status, have a bit of a hygiene obsession. So, even when surrounded by wolves, they didn’t want to see any bloodshed. With a wave of their hands, they used inner strength to kill the wolves without a drop of blood staining them. That’s their desired outcome!
But how did it change in an instant?
In the blink of an eye, they killed at least two hundred wolves without any blood touching them. But when Gu Changsheng intervened, how did they end up in such a mess?
Clearly, this isn’t the strength she should have!
If she truly wants to kill wolves, with just a wave of her hand, there should be a whole group down, considering her prowess. There’s no need for it to be so bloody and messy!
Zhou Mu and Shi Wujue stood in a daze, stained with wolf blood, but the wolves’ attacks didn’t stop. This was tough on Duo Shu and Yuan Bao, who usually didn’t see eye to eye but now had to fight side by side!
They realized that Gu Changsheng, supposedly here to help, was actually here to cause trouble!
However, they couldn’t let a few pesky wolves injure these three peculiar masters, right? They could zone out all they wanted, but Duo Shu and Yuan Bao had to provide protection, didn’t they?
"Heh heh... A good horse without a good saddle, and weapons not at hand!" Gu Changsheng, looking at the two men drenched in wolf blood, not looking brilliant at all, was quite pleased. She waved the horse whip she had seized and spoke as if it were only natural.
Zhou Mu and Shi Wujue heard this, exchanged glances, and then, in agreement, glared at Gu Changsheng!
Under the moonlight, the meaning in their eyes was obvious!
We’d be fools to trust you!
She’s obviously doing it on purpose!
We don’t even know how we offended her, but if she wants to create chaos, let her. After all, they’re just a bunch of prairie wolves, far from enough to harm them!
So, under Gu Changsheng’s chaotic whipping, their pace of killing wolves slowed down considerably!
No way around it. That woman was creating chaos with all her might! Saying the weapon wasn’t at hand, she truly illustrated the point thoroughly, swinging the whip without method and not using any inner strength, occasionally exposing herself to the wolves’ fangs. She played her part zealously, but how could Zhou Mu and Shi Wujue let her get hurt for real?
No choice but to get distracted and help her out a bit!
However, even with Gu Changsheng’s interference, the number of wolves still kept decreasing!
Gu Changsheng, satisfied with the mess she’d caused, waved the whip chaotically and glanced triumphantly toward where Landuoer was standing, her eyes speaking volumes!
Ma’am, don’t bother looking, all these handsome men are mine, even if one isn’t, he still admires me, so don’t even think about it!
Receiving Gu Changsheng’s look, Landuoer, whose arm still had blood on it, was immediately furious, her eyes turning red as she watched the two handsome warriors struggle due to Gu Changsheng. Stamping her foot, she cursed under her breath, "Useless! We on the prairie don’t have useless women like this! Give me the long whip!"
With a stretch of her hand, Landuoer’s last remaining maid immediately handed over the long whip she held!
"Landuoer to the warriors’ aid!"
With a loud shout, Landuoer waved her horse whip and charged toward where Gu Changsheng and the others were.
Gu Changsheng was momentarily stunned by Landuoer’s shout, pausing her disruptive whip action. What the heck, she was at a loss for a moment as to who was helping whom!
As far as she recalled, they were clearly the ones rescuing this lady named Landuoer, right?
Lending a hand is only natural, a perfectly normal thing to do, right?
How come her shout sounded so righteous, filled with a sense of great justice?
Also, do the warriors she intends to assist include herself?
Gu Changsheng somehow felt like she wasn’t exactly included!
"Watch out!"
In the brief moment Gu Changsheng was distracted, a fierce prairie wolf pounced at her side, but Zhou Mu quickly turned back, pulling Gu Changsheng behind him and stepping on the wolf’s back, blood and flesh splattering...
Anyway, since Gu Changsheng had already made a mess of getting him covered in blood, Zhou Mu didn’t care anymore!
"If you want to have fun, go ahead, but don’t let these pests get too close!" Seeing Gu Changsheng still being dazed, Zhou Mu couldn’t help but remind her, his face, though covered in blood at the moment, full of fondness like a divine being.
"Got it..." Gu Changsheng replied blankly, somewhat dazed as she looked at Landuoer charging into the fray...
Landuoer swung the Long Whip in her hand, and with a swift movement, a wolf fell down instantly! Her actions were crisp and efficient!
Gu Changsheng had to admit that even if she gave it her all using her preferred short weapons, she might not be able to wield the Long Whip with such ferocity. This Landuoer truly had skills; her mastery of the whip was no less impressive than Borjigin Nian’s!
However, it would be better if she weren’t simultaneously demonstrating her bravery with the whip and inching closer to her evildoer and Shi Wujue...
Watching Landuoer swing her whip again and move behind Zhou Mu, clearly showing a sense of cooperation in battle, Gu Changsheng wasn’t pleased. He shaped a flower with his Long Whip, dodged the surrounding wolves, and dashed toward Landuoer...
"Miss, this man is mine!"
The area was full of wolf carcasses, yet Gu Changsheng paid no attention to them. He casually tapped Landuoer, who was busy fighting, with his Long Whip and spoke righteously.
This evildoer is mine; you’d better step away. Her evildoer isn’t going to fight shoulder to shoulder with you, nor will he get hurt by wolves from behind!
"You..." Landuoer heard Gu Changsheng’s words and immediately felt a sharp pain in the arm she had just injured. When she looked down, ho! This woman did it on purpose; why did she poke exactly where it hurt?
Landuoer truly misunderstood Gu Changsheng. At this moment, Landuoer’s body was covered with blood, making it difficult to distinguish if it was human or wolf. Gu Changsheng just inadvertently poked, unexpectedly hitting the injury.
Landuoer thought Gu Changsheng was provoking her because Yuan Bao, seeing his lady in high spirits causing mischief, followed her around protectively, worried she’d fall victim to the wolves!
Gu Changsheng’s provocative actions, along with her words, made Landuoer’s face turn alternately blue and white. Ultimately, unable to compete with Gu Changsheng’s self-assured expression, she turned away and went to battle near Shi Wujue...
Even if surrounded by wolves, Gu Changsheng knew it was genuinely nothing compared to their capabilities; never mind emerging unscathed, exterminating the wolves without drawing a drop of blood would be easy!
Nonetheless, she had heroically saved the damsel today, leaving her in a great mood!
So, seeing Landuoer move toward Shi Wujue, Gu Changsheng held her Long Whip under her chin, pondering...
Should she go and dampen the mood?
Thinking it over, Gu Changsheng believed although Shi Wujue had some mutual understanding with her, he was engaged, and getting involved with romantic entanglements would inevitably lead to trouble. Hence, she would act out of principle and help him out of the predicament!
Consequently, as Landuoer was battling wolves behind Shi Wujue, Gu Changsheng stepped over obstructing wolves and followed her, poking Landuoer again with her whip master...
This poke, albeit casually...
Ended up on Landuoer’s injured arm once more!
In the midst of showcasing her bravery in wolf slaying, Landuoer’s arm throbbed with pain. Her face immediately turned displeased, glaring at the perpetrator, her gaze now ominous...
Gu Changsheng felt somewhat sheepish under her fierce glare, raising a hand to touch her nose, wanting to speak, but Landuoer was quicker...
"Don’t say this man is also yours!"
The tone, coupled with the expression, was unmistakably threatening!
It was clear as day: If Gu Changsheng dared say so again, she’d stop slaying wolves and start on her!
Gu Changsheng was taken aback by the rebuff, paused a moment in surprise, shook her head first, then nodded, feeling conflicted, and said, "Miss, this man came with me... saying he’s mine isn’t out of line..."
On hearing this, Landuoer’s face immediately darkened.
Meanwhile, Shi Wujue, casually slaying wolves behind Landuoer, heard it and surprisingly turned up the corners of his mouth in a slight smile...
Her’s?
The feeling was actually quite nice...
Landuoer charged forward with very clear intent to showcase her bravery. Commander Jin, who was injured yet admires Landuoer, restrained himself from moving, even though he was some distance away. He didn’t hear what Gu Changsheng and Landuoer said, but seeing his lady’s face turning increasingly unfriendly, Commander Jin felt his heart rise in concern...
His lady was utterly enraptured by those two attractive men. However, as an outsider, he could see clearly that the woman who saved his lady was no ordinary person!
Her seemingly nonchalant movements allowed her to move freely amidst the wolf pack, eerily so. Adding up her speed in rescuing his lady just now, Commander Jin, whose skills match Yuan Bao’s, believed she entered the wolves just to cause a commotion, purely for fun...
And seeing now that his lady was indeed about to face them, it wasn’t a promising sign. Should he intervene to dissuade his lady from embarrassing herself?
As Commander Jin contemplated approaching, his raised foot paused upon seeing those two eminent men, one in purple and one in black...
Better not. Let his lady learn the lesson; maybe then she’d notice what’s good about him?
