Chapter 773 - Find Yourself A Wife
Each tea party had a different setup and the Kiron tea party was also organized with a twist that the Marchioness had thought of.
Usually, either entire families sat together or only couples would sit together at one table.
However, Marchioness Patrina Kiron had chosen a different pattern of seating for her guests.
It was surprising for the guests to hear that the men, women, girls, and boys would be made to sit at different tables.
Since most parties had similar arrangements for the children, they walked over and occupied their seats without making too much of a fuss.
Whereas, the adults were the ones with puzzled and unhappy looks on their faces.
Being separated from their spouses was not something they were liking and their emotions were visible on their faces.
Especially Earl St. Claire, who did not wish to stay away from his beloved wife who had been snatched away by the ladies earlier as well.
Until now, his wife had spent more time talking to others than she had done with him.
Therefore, to now hear that the ladies were going to sit together was making him dislike this party, cursing that he should not have agreed to attend it in the first place.
However, when he saw the bright smile on Raylene's face which revealed her excitement to spend time with her friends, he could no longer make his thoughts known to her.
'We can spend time together at home.' He coaxed his unwilling heart and only smiled when Raylene mentioned that she would be leaving now.
His reluctant hand did not wish to let her go but when she looked up at him in confusion, he smiled before leaning close to her ear.
"Let me escort you, my Ray." He whispered and chuckled when he saw her blushing cheeks.
Without letting her hand escape his, he led her to the table where her friends had gathered and even pulled the chair for her like the perfect gentleman that he was.
Only when he saw that she was comfortable did he kiss her cheek before turning around to walk away before his greedy heart yearned for more.
The ladies around them were giggling at this romantic scene and some even teased Raylene soon after the scary-looking but caring Earl walked away.
Despite appearing to be unaffected on the outside, the Earl was most definitely sulking inwardly as he walked towards the table reserved for the men.
There was a look of disinterest towards his surroundings visible on his face while he occupied the seat next to his brother-in-law, who appeared to share the same feeling like him.
The two husbands who had been sulking thus found something they could bond on at this gloomy corner of the men's table.
The dark air around them made the others unwilling to occupy the seats near them.
Thankfully, someone was brave enough to sit next to Earl St. Claire without being bothered by the nasty glare he received upon doing so.
Earl Brax Mikren had been facing similar glares from his Brother Rutherford since he was a mere teenager so he wasn't affected in the least bit.
Instead, he did not hesitate to mock the man who was sulking like a toddler after being separated from his wife.
"Find yourself a wife first then come talk to me." Rutherford scoffed at this younger man who did not know what it meant to be away from the one he loved.
Brax snorted and shook his head in disagreement with that statement.
"Will I even find a woman who is more good-looking than I am?" He shrugged his shoulders as he had been unable to find one who matched his tastes until now.
Not just Rutherford but the rest of the men who had taken a seat at this table looked at the usually reticent man with an astonished look on their faces.
Who would have thought that this silent man who rarely ever spoke had this jovial and narcissistic side to himself and not to mention that it only surfaced when he was with the other Earl?
Rutherford's surprise soon turned to disgust when he saw that the younger man was boasting about his pretty face which indeed was incomparable even with most women present here.
However, he would never acknowledge this fact and only sneered at him.
'Who would have thought that there was someone more shameless than the Marquess?' He shook his head while comparing this common trait that both Earl Brax and Marquess Samed shared.

While the men, thanks to Earl Brax's interference, had begun a conversation, the children had already occupied their seats.
Yvonne was separated from her brothers but did not have to worry because she had a few acquaintances here as well.
Since there were more children than adults, two sets of tables were arranged for both the boys and the girls.
Today's party was being hosted by the Kirons so their daughters were placed at the first table where Glennise, Elna, Cecily, the two older daughters of the Carter family had sat in that order.
While Isadora Carter, the Jorbin triplets, Yvonne, Silvia Zavanth, and finally Mae Blaise occupied the next table.
Before Yvonne had arrived at her table, she had come across Timothy Kiron, the second son of the Marquess who was overseeing the functioning of their fief.
He was polite and even praised her for her suggestion which had benefited their fief and hoped that she would continue to support them if she thought of something brilliant again in the future.
The one running the Kiron fief in the place of the Marquess had said so which surprised them and even put them into a thoughtful daze.
Only a few of the fiefs close to Miss Yvonne had benefited through her advice which was now making them wonder that had they received the same advice from her back then, maybe their fief too would not have struggled with food shortage during the plague.
Yvonne thanked Timothy Kiron for his kind words before moving to her table, without displaying any haughty or complacent attitude which one might expect after receiving such high praise.
This made a few of them like the child further while some others were watching this scene with annoyance clear on their faces.
The child's keen eyes had observed just who these people were and stored this information in her mind.
She then took her seat at the table between one of the triplets named Moana and Silvia, both of whom she had a good impression of.
On the opposite side were the boys' tables which gave the girls the perfect view for their tea party.
Jacob Kiron sat at one table with the Valente twins who had become quite good friends with Timothy Kiron as they were of the same age and also shared similar interests.
There was also Klay Carter who had been warned to behave himself so he sat in silence with Zimon Yona next to him.
On another table were the Tanner siblings with Robin Zavanth, Howard, Lyon, and finally Stanley Blaise who made minimal communication with any of them.
Howard and Taylor were glad that Zimon Yona was not at their table as Lyon seemed to have developed an aversion to meeting that boy.
They understood why he felt that way and since they too disliked Zimon, they were satisfied as long as they were not at the same table.
The Marchioness had followed Duchess Tanner's footsteps and served a variety of tea flavors which would soon become the latest trend in Rosenhyde.
The choice of teas brought a discussion among them to know which one they liked and the atmosphere was pleasant until the very end as everyone seemed to be on their best behavior today.

Away from the Kiron estate and within the walls of the Rosenhyde Royal Palace was a serious discussion taking place of matters which held great importance.
"How do you want your coming-of-age ceremony to be celebrated?" The King inquired while gazing at the young man with blonde hair standing before him.
The Ruler was seated on his majestic Throne while four men were standing below the elevated platform where his throne was situated.
Two men stood to the King's right while one was at the center and the last was on his left.
Each of these men was closely connected to him so he did not beat around the bush but questioned about the reason they had assembled here today.
Facing this question, the one for whom this ceremony was being planned had something to say.
"Big Brother, we still have an entire year left.." Prince Draco shook his head at his impatient elder brother who was rushing ahead of time.
