Chapter 292: The Grandson of Creation (4)

Akasha let his mother have her way, setting his immediate thoughts aside for the moment.

After learning about his own origins, he could no longer bring himself to hold a grudge against her.

Sure, he still thought it was disappointing that she hadn’t been there earlier in his life, but he now knew it was entirely due to his uncles and Grandfather.

Of course, Akashi could have refused their suggestion, but Akasha wasn’t naive—he understood well that her elder brothers had their ways of making her give in.

Even then, it took her half a trillion years to be convinced.

Time passed slowly yet steadily as the two of them remained curled up together on a single couch, simply enjoying each other’s presence.

Over this period, as they reconnected, they both began to notice themselves changing in similar ways.

---

In this moment, Akasha’s signature purple-and-white hair had vanished.

Now, what draped over his shoulders was long and white, touched with a hint of gray, like ash that had somehow learned to glow.

His light-brown skin remained the same, as did his abyssal-black eyes and the mark he bore.

The only change was in his hair—and Akashi’s hair had mirrored it.

Her black-and-white had faded into the same soft, almost-gray hue, blending with the fall of light around her.

Beneath her left eye, the infinity symbol was no longer black... it had become purple.

Throughout all this time they shared in silence, Aethea didn’t interrupt once.

She sat on the opposite couch, entirely ignoring them and giving them the space for their long moment.

Her eyes were lifted toward the heavens, fixed on that endless stretch above — a sky that could never be just a sky.

High across the flawless blue, a fierce battle raged within Pantheos, each movement like a ripple in the still air.

Akasha stayed silent, his gaze lingering on the way his mother’s hair rested softly against his chest, letting the moment before finally breaking it with his voice.

"So, Mother..." His voice was even, almost dry, the name a compromise between the word she had begged for and the one that still fit his mouth.

"You mean to tell me I’m not only the grandson of... existence, but also his Main Character?"

At his words, Akashi sat up.

Then she eased back down—not next to him, not half-curled at his side, but right in his lap.

Compared to him, her frame was small. The soft, curving weight of her ass pressed down with a subtle, unapologetic intimacy, warm through cloth, pressing right against his... lower member.

Feeling the movement, Akasha’s brow lifted.

’Uh?’ he thought, locking eyes with her. ’Is she... like one of those ancient beings who can’t grasp a man’s feelings?

Honestly, it wouldn’t be wild to think so—after all, he’d seen her from when she was sixteen right up until the day he was born.

And knowing she had never once been with a man... it added up.

But in that moment, Akasha overlooked one small detail.

His mother was a Unus and not a mere Lesser One, but a True Unus... and even more so than he was—she was utterly lustful.

Seeing his thoughts as easily as if they were written across his face, she reached out and flicked his forehead.

The gesture was quick, affectionate, and free of any hint of self-consciousness.

"Baby boy... I’m not clueless, you know?" she remarked with a light laugh as she moved her ass again, even more intentionally.

"But... you should try to focus~."

In that moment, Akasha’s breathing grew slightly heavier; it had been far too long since he’d had the chance to satisfy his lust, and watching Akashi’s movements made it hard to steady himself.

But after taking a deep, deliberate breath, he managed to focus, slowly but surely. Noticing this, Akashi gave a single nod before speaking.

"Indeed, but things are far more complicated," she said, her tone shifting to a seriousness that contrasted sharply with her earlier teasing.

She gestured toward the infinity symbol beneath her left eye.

"Anyone bearing this mark belongs to the very first Clan and Pantheon ever to exist. It’s where we come from... our home—the Ineffable Pantheon."

Above them, Aethea’s gaze drifted from the skies to the Mother and Son duo, who in that moment seemed more like a couple deep in a serious conversation.

She then smiled as Akashi continued her explanation to Akasha.

Essentially, beyond the affairs of the Ineffable Clan, the matters that directly concerned Akasha revolved around the wager and the so-called game his Grandfather was engaged in with the mysterious Author who had been mentioned.

The game itself wasn’t truly a game at all, but more of a race against Akasha’s distant relatives.

There were three other Lesser Unus, each born under circumstances similar to Akasha’s, equipped with cheats and guided by their respective parents in one way or another.

For Akasha, it was simply a contest to determine who would be the last one standing... or the final to reach the base of the Ineffable Pantheon.

As for the wager, that was where things became especially complicated.

"Nullen?" Akasha asked, his arms now wrapped around Akashi’s lower waist.

She had just explained that while the other Unus could certainly be considered main characters due to their origins, there was only one true Main Character in Pantheos aside from Akasha himself—and apparently, that was a man named Nullen.

"Right, his story was created by my father," Akashi said with a sweet smile. "But, since it was rejected, the author decided to give it another shot."

Hearing this, Akasha found himself slightly appalled.

"And Grandfather," He muttered, "What is he exactly?"

Back when he watched the memories of his origin, he was given immediate knowledge of whatever he found confusing, but that was until he looked at his Grandfather.

There was nothing beyond the majestic phoenix form, leaving him to wonder what kind of being could grow beyond themselves.

Akasha sat there for a moment, then it hit him like a bolt of lightning.

"Wait... we’re actually characters in a novel?"
