This Summoner Is Too Powerful

Chapter 991: S-Class [Li Long]

“What is happening?”

When Li Pu regained his senses, he found that he had reverted to human form.

Previously, he and Ah Yajun accidentally discovered that as long as certain conditions were met, they could temporarily leave the instance and return to the cubic card metaverse.

But obviously, he was not in Lanlan Town now.

At this moment, he was in a pure white space, divided into grids by black lines.

Swoosh…

A card appeared out of thin air in front of him.

[Roar…!]

On the card face, a projection of a velociraptor cloaked in ghostly white and with a perfectly streamlined body slowly emerged.

[Congratulations on completing the instance]

[Completion rate 100%]

[Please name the exclusive card for this instance]

An ungendered voice echoed in the space, and then a writable projection touch screen appeared before Li Pu.

“…”

He thought for a moment, then raised his hand and wrote down two characters: Li Long.

[Naming complete]

[Please receive the card]

As soon as the name was written, the card floated into his hand.

At the same time, the card’s information was displayed.

“S-level, and it’s a dragon card.”

Li Pu’s eyebrows slightly raised.

It seemed that his months of hard work surviving and evolving in the instance were not in vain.

[Li Long]

Chasing Wind, Score 40, S

Attack 40, 150/150, 0/2

[Steel Bones – Passive]: Li Long gains an additional 50 health points

[Ghostly Cloak – Passive]: Li Long receives 10 points less damage

[Hidden Assassin – 2 energy points]: Li Long enters an unselectable state for 1 turn, adding 60 points of extra damage on next attack

[NONO Machine Blast – 2 energy points]: Li Long can summon NONO Machine Blast in an open card slot, limited to once per game

“Impressive, all those dinosaurs weren’t eaten for nothing.”

Li Pu couldn’t help but marvel at the array of skills.

Firstly, the [Steel Bones] should be related to having eaten Ahyalong and many armored dragons.

Previously, to evolve into a large dragon, he specifically selected food to enhance his melee endurance.

The extra 50 health points, although less compared to the 50% increase from [Beast Master], is still a rare passive health increment.

[Ghostly Cloak], this is connected to the starter card he chose to bring into the instance.

One of them is [Mind Dragon], this [Ghostly Cloak] has a similar damage reduction, each having its pros and cons.

[Mind Dragon]’s damage reduction requires continuous energy consumption to activate but is more effective, whereas [Li Long]’s damage reduction is a passive but relatively lower.

Coming to the third skill [Hidden Assassin], one cannot help but mention the shortcomings of this [Li Long] card.

That is the energy limit, which is quite low for an S-level card.

However, paired with such powerful skills, this low energy limit is acceptable.

[Hidden Assassin] is truly a perfect offensive and defensive skill.

The “unselectable state” will render it invulnerable to attacks, immune to any negative effects, and not affected by positive effects, nor will it recover energy.

It’s akin to the stealth tactics it frequently employs in the real world.

However, if it enters the “unselectable state,” then its rear cards will be exposed to the enemy, which needs attention.

The latter part of [Hidden Assassin] aligns with Li Long’s usual combat style.

Lurking in the shadows, then delivering a lethal blow to the target.

Its initial attack power is 40 points, with the theoretical output value being 80 points over 2 turns.

After using [Hidden Assassin], the theoretical output value would be 100 points over 2 turns, gaining an extra 20 points.

And you should know that oftentimes, the difference between 99 and 100 points can be worlds apart.

Because 100 points is precisely a card’s full health.

Against such a strong skill, a mere 2/2 energy limit becomes reasonable.

The final skill [NONO Machine Blast], is a summoning skill.

Consumes 2 energy points to summon a [NONO Machine Blast].

“Even the summoned card is S-level.”

“Awesome.”

Upon seeing the panel of this summoning card, Li Pu couldn’t help but marvel again.

[NONO Machine Blast]

Balanced, Score 50, S

Attack 50, 100/100

[Doesn’t Follow Orders – Passive]: NONO Machine Blast delays 1 turn after receiving instructions

[No Rules – Passive]: NONO Machine Blast is immune to any control or buff effects

[Chomping You – Passive]: NONO Machine Blast’s attack power increases to 100 points when attacking non-[Defensive] targets

[I Am NONO – Passive]: When an opponent’s card leaves the field, NONO Machine Blast also exits

This card fully embodies the unpredictability of NONO Machine Blast.

Negative entries are very negative, while positive entries are extremely strong.

Li Pu can imagine that when NONO Machine Blast can act to attack, the opponent will likely be compelled to defend at all costs, as 100 points of damage is quite terrifying.

However, despite being an S-level card, its weaknesses and countermeasures are also quite obvious.

Firstly, its action delay allows the opponent ample time to prepare.

[No Rules] doesn’t take control or buffs, but indicates vulnerability to debuffs.

Just apply appropriate debuffs to greatly reduce its threat level.

Additionally, it exits with an opponent card leaving the field, so sacrificing a weak card can swap it out.
