Chapter 470: Chapter 159: One Little Sip Won’t Hurt, Another Vicious Woman from the Original Story (Part 3)

‘Why would he suddenly be interested in the Dust Sect out of nowhere?’

Xia Jin immediately fell silent.

“This is only the information I’ve received for now. There’s no need to be too concerned, General Xia Jin,” Jiang Lan said reassuringly.

“The Sect Leader has always treated me very well. How could he possibly get involved with the Blood Immortal Sect…” Xia Jin shook her head.

The current Sect Leader of the Dust Sect, Luo Yunsheng, was said to be the husband of the Ancestral Master Jiang Chen’s granddaughter.

As for the Ancestral Master Jiang Chen, he had always been in seclusion deep within the Sect, never concerning himself with external affairs, maintaining a very transcendent status.

“General Xia Jin, there’s no need to overthink it. If it’s not true, then all the better. Worrying about it now is pointless. You might as well enjoy a drink…” Jiang Lan said with a smile.

But Xia Jin was in no mood to drink now.

But what Jiang Lan said was true. It was useless for her to dwell on it now. She would probably have to return to the Dust Sect to find out whether it was true or not.

‘Once I return to my territory and get everything in order, I’ll go back to the Dust Sect and investigate in secret.’

‘If it’s true, then this will be a huge problem.’

Xia Jin looked at the exquisite wine before her, feeling that she probably wouldn’t have another chance to drink so freely for a long time. With that, she pushed aside her worries and decided to drink to her heart’s content.

The two then began to drink, cup after cup.

But as they drank more and more, even someone like Xia Jin eventually found it hard to handle the alcohol’s potency. After all, this was no ordinary Spirit Wine.

“So satisfying! It’s been so long since I’ve had such a good drink…”

Perhaps feeling a bit hot, she took off all the armor she always wore. Beneath it, her embroidered robes revealed a tall and shapely figure.

Jiang Lan noticed her actions but didn’t stop her. Inwardly, he was calculating the timing for the Illusory Immortal Powder in the wine to take effect.

Xia Jin had deep ties to the Dust Sect. It would be very difficult for him to scheme against the Sect using external forces.

But if he could make a move from the inside, things would be much easier.

That Jiang Chen’s strength was considerable. His current seclusion deep within the Dust Sect was actually to heal his injuries.

Back then, in order to help his master, Old Ghost, escape the Celestial Dao Curse and reconstruct his physical body, Jiang Chen had traveled to the Outer Realm. There, he encountered a life-or-death crisis in a perilous land, suffering heavy injuries from which his strength had never fully recovered.

But he was, after all, a Child of Fortune from several thousand years ago. Even now, he was one of the few truly powerful experts. If he used all his trump cards, he was qualified to challenge a Saint.

In the original story, Old Ghost would periodically select young prodigies with dense fortune to cultivate, betting on their success in order to break his curse.

Once the opportunity passed, he would turn back into a wandering spirit. This time, however, something unexpected happened: he attached himself to Ye Ming and couldn’t get away.

“General Xia Jin, have you had too much to drink? I’ll have You’Er take you to rest.”

Pushing his thoughts aside, Jiang Lan looked at Xia Jin. Her face was flushed, and her gaze seemed hazy and veiled in mist as he spoke.

Hearing this, Xia Jin just kept shaking her head, murmuring, “Not drunk… I’m not drunk…”

As she spoke, she started to fall sideways.

Jiang Lan reached out and supported her, guiding her toward a nearby couch. But Xia Jin threw her arms around him in return, rubbing her face against his body. Her lips, flushed and smelling of wine, kept trying to bite his neck.

“Hiss…”

Jiang Lan pried her head away, but Xia Jin, her eyes misty, pressed close again. Her loose robes, as if unattached, slipped from her shoulders.

“General Xia Jin, you’re drunk…”

Jiang Lan reached out and pulled her robes back up.

“I’m not…”

Xia Jin kept rubbing against his neck and pulled her robes down again herself. Her body was scorching hot.

If Jiang Lan didn’t know she was still a maiden, he would have been surprised by her drunken behavior. Of course, the Illusory Immortal Powder was also partly to blame.

‘But the powder’s effect isn’t that strong. It just makes the memories of this night more vivid when she sobers up.’

For now, he had no choice but to suppress his rising arousal; he couldn’t touch her.

If something actually happened, it would only complicate his plans later on.

Before dealing with the Dust Sect, the persona he had built in front of Xia Jin was crucial. It couldn’t be allowed to collapse.

“General Xia Jin, I should have let you drink less…”

So, for the next while, Jiang Lan patiently pulled her robes up again and again. Finally, as if he had no other choice, he delivered a sharp chop to the back of her neck.

Only then did Xia Jin go limp and fall unconscious.

Jiang Lan straightened his own collar, then adjusted Xia Jin’s robes one more time before casually strolling out of the room. He nonchalantly told her two female adjutants waiting outside, “General Xia Jin has had too much to drink. Make sure you take care of her.”

“Yes, Feng Jun.”

The two female adjutants didn’t suspect a thing.

Standing on the deck, the cold wind blew, and Jiang Lan finally felt the heat of his arousal dissipate somewhat.

‘Emperor Xia won’t let me touch her, You’Er is too young for me to make a move, and Su Qinghan and Chu Chan aren’t around.’

‘And I have no interest in common women.’

‘This Tantai Qing of the Tantai Family… if I can subdue her, she would make a capable pawn.’

‘In the original story, she later becomes a rival who can contend with Chu Chan.’

Gazing into the distance, the silhouette of Immortal Ascension Island was already faintly visible. The waves churned, and in some places, clouds piled up so low they seemed to touch the sea. The fleeting shadows of Fierce Beasts could be seen within, exuding a terrifying pressure.

Jiang Lan found himself somewhat looking forward to meeting this vicious woman—the one who used her fiancé to steal the Holy Object from the Elder Pavilion of Immortal Ascension Island, only to then force him to jump into the Demon Abyss.

Chu Chan’s transformation was a product of her environment, but this woman, Tantai Qing, was vicious by nature.
