Chapter 348: Chapter 345: National Fate Arena Tournament

I’m back...

Fang Can reappeared in Ying Han’s grotto-abode, his expression calm.

The first time he had seen this grotto-abode, Fang Can could see the palace rotating in sync with the orbits of the stars below.

But when Fang Can returned to outer space with the power of a Half-Step Fifth Turn, he could no longer find any trace of this Sixth Turn palace.

After circling the planet once, he could only conclude that the palace had concealed itself.

"So you’re finally back, you cheater. Already at the Half-Step Fifth Turn." Ying Han’s voice drifted over, ethereal.

Ying Han was leaning against the edge of an ancient bronze coffin. Her left knee was slightly bent, her slender, jade-like arm loosely wrapped around it, while her right leg dangled casually over the side.

Her snow-white gauze robes flowed down from her waist like mist, shimmering with the unique cold light of ice-silkworm silk under the deep blue glow of the Spiritual Fire. She rested her chin lightly on her knee, her moon-silver hair cascading down like a river of stars.

The woman’s gaze lingered on Fang Can, her eyes filled with wisps of jealousy.

’It had only been a month since he’d left, yet his power had leaped from the peak of the Third Turn to the Half-Step Fifth Turn. How is that even fair? What kind of cheat is this?’

’How many years did it take me to get from the peak of the Third Turn to the Half-Step Fifth Turn?’

’Two hundred? Or was it three hundred?’

Ignoring the young woman’s jealousy, Fang Can’s expression remained indifferent. "You call this cheating? You only see that I’m at the Half-Step Fifth Turn, but you don’t say a word about the hundred years of life I lost."

"And you call that a price?" Ying Han scoffed in disdain, then asked, "Aren’t you just going to abandon your little harem? That’s pretty heartless, don’t you think?"

"I’ve already forced them up onto the Heaven-Ascending Road. They’ll be safe for at least the next hundred years."

Fang Can stated plainly, "And I won’t need a hundred years. I’ll naturally grow strong enough to come get them. For now, just let them live peacefully in your secret realm."

"So I’m supposed to manage your harem for you, is that it, Hajican?" Ying Han ground her teeth, clearly displeased.

"What about Liu Qian... Qing Meng?" Fang Can asked.

"She’s still in seclusion. Consolidating the Fifth Turn Realm isn’t as simple as you think. A month is nowhere near enough; she’ll need more time."

"But you’re going to have your hands full from now on. To think you’d leave behind a legacy in this world." Ying Han twirled a strand of hair around her finger, a mischievous smirk on her face.

"What’s wrong with that? Am I not allowed to?"

"Nothing’s wrong, it’s just that the structure of this universe is completely different from the Martial World."

The woman explained calmly, "Every Sixth Turn being can connect to an external universe, transforming it into a star in the sky. The rules of each universe form their own independent laws."

"As for my universe..." A pearly-white canine tooth peeked out as Ying Han smirked. "The past, present, and future all coexist here."

"So?" Fang Can raised an eyebrow slightly.

"So, what you’re doing right now will simultaneously affect both the past and future stretches of the river of time."

"You’ve now established an immense reputation in this universe. In the future, as this entire civilization leaps beyond Earth, future humans, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, will journey among the stars."

"Guess how terrifying the karmic Telekinesis you’ll receive will be—you, the primogenitor of modern civilization, the master of the Holy God Era. You’re already entangled in a dense web of karma."

Ying Han’s gaze was fixed on the space above Fang Can’s head, where a massive branch of karma was coalescing.

After all, what Fang Can had done was use the accumulated knowledge of an entire civilization to help that very civilization evolve and ascend.

It was equivalent to taking credit for all the achievements of modern physics, chemistry, mathematics, philosophy, astronomy, quantum mechanics, and so on.

If there were divine titles, the legend Fang Can left behind would basically be akin to that of an omniscient being, a holy father of humanity, or a god who pioneered civilization for future generations.

The karmic implications of this were so immense that in the Primordial World, one could have easily become a saint through merit alone.

"Right now, every single person in this universe’s future is chanting your name."

Ying Han smiled. "Take a guess. If modern people gained the ability to time travel, wouldn’t they want to go see Einstein invent the theory of relativity, or perhaps observe the atomic bombing of Hiroshima from a distance?"

"Time travel?" Fang Can’s expression turned odd. "Are you saying that people in the future have already invented a time machine?"

"Of course not. It’s just that these humans, as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, are focusing their karmic Telekinesis on you. Before long, that branch of karma will detonate above your head."

"As for the result..." Ying Han said with a carefree laugh, "I have no idea!"

"I’m just a mere Sixth Turn soul; I can’t see that clearly. Anyway, you’ll have to deal with it yourself in a little while."

The young woman’s tone then became lazy:

"Besides, you have your Reversal of Fortune and can’t die anyway. The worst that can happen is you get a little roughed up. What’s there to be afraid of?"

’She really has faith in me, huh?’ Fang Can thought. But he wasn’t afraid of this so-called karma either. If it dared to show up, he would just beat it to death.

Although he had completely overcome the sin of arrogance, a trait called ’confidence’ still remained.

"Alright, enough nonsense," Fang Can urged.

"I have a bad feeling about this. Send me back to the Martial World. We can deal with this so-called karma the next time I return."

"So heartless," Ying Han said, rolling her White Eyes. Then, her slender, pale fingertip tapped lightly in the young man’s direction.

In the next instant, both of them vanished from the ancient hall.

...

「Countless eons later, in the Beidou Star Domain.」

A young woman awoke from a long slumber, her eyes filled with confusion. Then, a sea of memories flooded into her mind.
