This High Martial World is Too Crazy!!!
Chapter 257 - 255: Taking Office, Celestial Secret Tower
Chapter 257: Chapter 255: Taking Office, Celestial Secret Tower
Standing atop the ruins, Fang Can looked at the Disciple of the Inverted Gate, who had lost all ability to resist.
"Implant a thought imprint in him. Have him return to report on his mission, acting as if nothing ever happened."
"That’s simple. He’s just a mere Second Turn."
The King of Willpower nodded. "With the God-person boosting my superpower, I can rewrite his consciousness before a stick of incense burns out."
"Very good. Now for the most crucial part."
Fang Can’s expression turned cold as he looked at the group. "You’ve all forgotten about the most important player. For all we know, our intel has already been leaked."
The King of Willpower immediately shook his head. "Impossible. I’m monitoring and controlling everyone in the city. Who else could there be?"
’Liu Qingmeng...’
Fang Can silently swallowed her name, his expression unchanging. "You’ve forgotten about the Celestial Secret Tower!"
The moment he spoke, everyone’s expression changed as the realization hit them.
They had somehow overlooked this most uncanny of factions—one that could silently doxx anyone in the entire martial world. For all they knew, their details had been entered into the Yongle Encyclopedia the very instant they appeared.
And it was this very same damn faction, with its complete lack of respect for confidentiality and its habit of prying into the privacy of Martial Artists, that had caused so many of the current problems.
"The top priority now," Fang Can said coldly, "is to bring the Celestial Secret Tower under control and prevent any of our intel from leaking."
At this moment, even the King of Trolls realized the gravity of the situation.
"Should we go now?" Ji Donglai asked. "I’ll go and wipe out the Celestial Secret Tower right now."
"Not so fast. Let me perform a divination first."
As he spoke, Fang Can casually pulled out four coins and, under everyone’s gaze, tossed them into the air.
There was nothing particularly strange about it. The others simply watched the coins trace four arcs through the air before clattering to the ground.
Heads! Tails! Tails! Edge!
One coin showed the number "1" side, two showed the peach blossom side, and the last one had landed on its edge, refusing to fall.
"So... what did you learn from that?" the King of Trolls asked, scratching his head.
"First, the ’1’ means that we can indeed obtain intelligence from the Celestial Secret Tower."
"The second coin, a ’tails,’ means we don’t need to worry about any factions other than the Celestial Secret Tower."
"The third coin, another ’tails,’ shows that the Celestial Secret Tower hasn’t noticed us yet. We can catch them by surprise."
"And the fourth coin, the one on its edge, says that this plan of mine is incredibly risky. But fortune favors the bold. If we handle it correctly, we can still get everything we want."
Fang Can stated his divinatory conclusions while looking earnestly at the coins, causing the corners of the others’ mouths to twitch.
Divining so much information from just four coins... What kind of voodoo was this?
’Is a luck-based ability really this effective?’
Even Ji Donglai couldn’t help but scratch his head. Fang Can’s application of his luck ability seemed way more absurd than any other power user’s.
It wasn’t like the New Country lacked other luck-based ability users.
But since they already had Fang Can, they hadn’t bothered bringing any others.
But this divination method... even a fellow superpower user like Ji Donglai felt it was a little too much like hocus-pocus.
But seeing the results of the divination, Fang Can finally solidified his resolve to make a major move.
After all, human strategy has its limits. Even the most intricate plan is vulnerable to accidents. The more you rely on schemes, the more you realize the importance of luck.
Even though Fang Can’s analysis sounded perfectly logical, he couldn’t read the script like some reincarnation of Hongjun. What if some piece of intel he was unaware of surfaced at a critical moment? They’d be doomed.
Now, the strategy was sound in theory, and luck had given the green light. What more was there to discuss?
Time to do it!
Picking up the coins one by one, Fang Can looked at Ji Donglai. "The divination says we can make a move, but it’s risky. Are we doing it?"
"What a stupid question. Of course we are! An opportunity this good? We’ll wipe them out, root and stem," Ji Donglai said viciously. He’d long been fed up with those Martial Artists.
He even felt a pang of regret. If he’d known there would be such a perfect opportunity to take them all out in one fell swoop, he would have coordinated with the other superpower users from the White Federation and the Black Empire.
If the superpower users from the three major powers had acted together, their chances of success would have skyrocketed.
"Alright, the King of Willpower will stay here and guard Great Derivation. While he’s at it, he’ll rewrite this Inverted Gate disciple’s mind. Make sure no information leaks. The rest of you will come with me to the Celestial Secret Tower in Great Zhou."
As he spoke, Ji Donglai held out his hand. "Get into my internal space. I’ll take you there directly."
"Hehehe, our cheapskate boss is actually willing to spend money on teleportation?" the King of Trolls snickered. "It’s twenty thousand kilometers to Great Zhou. That jump must cost something like two million in GDP, right?"
"Not that much. After the God-person enhanced me, my national-level boost tripled. I can stretch one dollar into three, so it’ll be less than a million."
Ji Donglai said, then had everyone enter his internal space one by one.
Once inside Ji Donglai’s space, Fang Can discovered it was cluttered with various items—all strategic materials brought from the New Country, piled high.
Looking at the pile, Fang Can’s heart leaped into his throat. They were all goddamn anti-matter bombs. If they went off, wouldn’t he be blown black and blue?
Skirting around the pile of anti-matter bombs, Fang Can saw the dark outer boundary of the ten-cubic-meter space.
He gently reached out and touched it. The boundary offered no resistance; his arm passed straight through, his hand emerging from Ji Donglai’s chest on the outside.
’So you can move in and out freely. The space is stable, with no turbulence. Gravity is similar to Earth’s, and there’s an oxygen generator, so no risk of suffocating.’
Fang Can ran various tests within the space, making sure he understood all its properties in case they became relevant during combat.
Since vision was cut off between the interior and the exterior, Fang Can couldn’t see what was happening outside. During combat, they’d have to rely on the King of Willpower to establish a mental link between everyone.
That way, they could see through each other’s eyes without speaking and even share thoughts—just like the Six Paths of Pain.
Only a few moments later, Ji Donglai’s voice echoed, "We’re in Great Zhou. That mountain ahead is the main gate of the Celestial Secret Tower. I’m just going to attack and annihilate them. Get it over with."
Clearly, Ji Donglai was also extremely annoyed with this faction that started arguments and doxxed people all over the place, which had led to the current war against the martial world.
"Not so fast," Fang Can’s voice came from within. "Let’s go up and pay them a visit."
"A visit?" Everyone was stunned. That was like the fox guarding the henhouse; what could they possibly be planning?
"The Celestial Secret Tower can doxx more than just us; they can doxx other Fourth Turn Martial Artists, too."
Fang Can mused, "There are so many Fourth Turn masters out there, and our knowledge of them is superficial at best. Now that we’re at the Celestial Secret Tower’s doorstep, isn’t this the perfect opportunity?"
"Fine. In that case," Ji Donglai nodded, "let’s go pay our respects... to the Celestial Secret Tower!"
