This High Martial World is Too Crazy!!!
Chapter 255 - 253: Suppressing the Capital City
Chapter 255: Chapter 253: Suppressing the Capital City
"You fucking King of Shitshows, get ready to die!"
Superman F roared. The next moment, his body blurred, crossing several hundred meters as if teleporting.
’So fast!’
Before Chancellor Qu Xiuyong’s widening eyes, an open palm stopped abruptly in front of him.
He went from top speed to a dead stop in a single instant, but the resulting kinetic energy was like a detonating nuclear bomb.
Even though it didn’t touch him, the shockwave from the strike instantly flattened Qu Xiuyong’s cheeks.
"BOOM!"
A massive blast of air shot out from Superman F’s palm.
Unobstructed, the air was shoved aside as if it were solid steel, instantly forming a vacuum ring several meters long in its wake.
This compressed wave of air surged forward, threatening to annihilate everything in its path.
Within a second, it completely obliterated all buildings in a thousand-meter path before him, leaving behind a teardrop-shaped swathe of ruin.
This casual display of power alone was enough to make everyone’s hair stand on end.
The many Second and Third Turn experts, who had just been eager to leap out and distinguish themselves, were now frozen in mid-air, looking as ridiculous as circus clowns.
This display of power was definitely not something a Third Turn could achieve.
If not a Third Turn, could it be...
For a moment, everyone considered the terrifying possibility: could this bizarre-looking young man actually be a Fourth Turn expert?
But the thought was immediately dismissed, because that was simply impossible.
Every Fourth Turn expert is a known entity. When they achieve their breakthrough, it causes obvious energetic phenomena and celestial spectacles to manifest.
When such a breakthrough occurs, all living beings for thousands of miles around will sense it instinctively.
It’s absolutely impossible for an unknown Fourth Turn to exist. Thus, the number of Fourth Turn experts among the nations is a known quantity—if anything, the true number is less than what is recorded, not more.
But if he wasn’t a Fourth Turn, how could the power he unleashed so far exceed the limits of an ordinary Third Turn? Where on earth did this monster come from, and why was he involved with Fang Can?
In that moment, a thousand thoughts raced through their minds. Some were already considering retreat.
But the King of Shitshows couldn’t be bothered with any of that; he couldn’t hold back any longer.
He gave a light leap, and a world-shaking force erupted from his body as he stomped down hard on the ground.
A terrifying force of hundreds of millions of tons slammed down beneath his feet, and the land for several kilometers on either side was flung into the air like a seesaw.
To mortal eyes, it was as if two mountains had violently erupted from the earth, completely blotting out the sun.
These two "mountains" of earth, one on the left and one on the right, began to converge on the center, making it seem as if the world was turning upside down.
With the ground overturned, the two rising plains acted like iron plates, sandwiching them in the middle and cutting off any chance of escape.
The Martial Artists were terrified. ’Where in the world did this group come from? Another one who’s above the Third Turn... Don’t tell me the rest of them are like this too!’
But they were given no more time to think, because Superman F and the King of Shitshows, their powers now amplified and fully unleashed, had begun the hunt.
"Don’t kill them! Their bodies are of great use, so leave them alive for me!"
The King of Shitshows’ voice drifted on the wind as he toyed with the Second and Third Turn experts, his casual punches and kicks utterly dominating them.
In just a dozen seconds, all the Heaven-Ascending Road Martial Artists who had revealed themselves were beaten into limbless torsos.
Looking at the dozen or so Martial Artists lying at his feet like raw materials, the King of Shitshows frowned. ’How can they be so fragile? Not a single one of them compares to that "little fairy" from back then.’
The "little fairy" he mentioned was Jiang Ning’an.
Although they were all Third Turns, the gap between experts of the same Realm can naturally be immense.
Though her breakthrough on the Heaven-Ascending Road had been rushed, Jiang Ning’an’s talent was astonishing.
Even with a damaged foundation, more than a decade of secluded cultivation had long since compensated for it. She was far beyond her ordinary peers, and could be considered one of the handful of top experts below the Fourth Turn.
Otherwise, she never would have been able to escape the King of Shitshows with her life and eventually meet Fang Can.
The only reason she might have seemed weak was because her status as a Victim in that encounter lowered her prestige; in reality, her own strength was considerable.
This isn’t only true for the Third Turn; the same applies even among Fourth Turn experts.
Now, enhanced by the God-Caller, they could likely hold their own against even a weaker Fourth Turn for a few moments, to say nothing of a Third Turn.
’Oh, we missed one,’ the King of Shitshows thought, looking up. Amid a deafening rumble, the earth settled back into place.
His gaze swept outside the city to a dense sea of people—all of them imperial guards clad in armor. Apparently, while they were causing a ruckus here, the army had already been mustered.
And that fellow from before who was issuing commands, the one who called himself a Disciple of the Inversion Sect, was now hiding amongst the one hundred thousand imperial guards.
An old man in armor spoke, his face filled with sorrow. "Fang Can, stop this."
Looking at the gaunt old man outside the city, Fang Can smirked. "Well now, General Yang. Weren’t you supposedly sick at home? Why put on such a sanctimonious act?"
’To mobilize so quickly... they must have come prepared. They even had their armor and weapons ready in advance.’
"An order from a Fourth Turn is absolute. You have no hope. Even if you try to run, you can’t escape," the old man stated helplessly, as if relaying a simple fact.
"What bullshit. Seeing as we have a history, you can either scram or kneel."
Fang Can said calmly, "We didn’t come here with any intention of running. You should be more concerned about your own fate."
"Why are you wasting words on this old fossil? Just take him down and be done with it," the King of Shitshows chimed in, running his mouth as usual.
Seeing the young man who once held so much promise now standing before him as an enemy, a bitter expression crossed the old general’s face. He then activated the army formation without hesitation.
Instantly, a red light enveloped them. The auras of the one hundred thousand imperial guards fused into a single, terrifying force—one that even a Fourth Turn expert would have to avoid confronting head-on.
This terrifying formation, anchored by a Third Turn, supported by several Second Turns, and including more than a dozen First Turns, even manifested ethereal images of a dragon and a tiger in the sky.
But in the eyes of these superhumans, it was all bark and no bite.
Individual superhumans are specialists with distinct weaknesses. That’s why even a Continent Level or Nation Level esper might be killed by an ordinary person with a gun, let alone fall prey to the strange mechanics of the Heaven-Ascending Road.
But when they are well-prepared and coordinate with one another, the power they can unleash is truly astonishing.
If it were only Superman F, the outcome of a clash with this army formation would be uncertain. Unfortunately for them, however...
"Hey, Divine Divider! Time for a clean sweep!" the King of Shitshows yelled.
At his words, a man bundled up in a heavy overcoat, his face hidden by sunglasses and a mask, gave a slight nod. Then, he softly snapped his fingers.
The next moment, an invisible force field spread out, instantly blanketing the entire city.
Within the bounds of the field, an absolute "reality anchor" took effect.
With the exception of specially designated individuals, all special abilities were completely suppressed and rendered ineffective.
The King of Shitshows, carrying the Divine Divider, flew straight out of the city, rapidly closing in on the imperial guards.
Everywhere they passed, the synergistic effects of the formation vanished. In a single breath, the power of the Third-Turn-led army formation dissipated completely.
