This Heroine's Friend Has the Power of Botany
Chapter 329: New Equipment
Chapter 329
New Equipment
"This item is called a Secret Dimension. It was created by a race adept at manipulating time-space dimensions. They made many of them. I see you have a dimensional ring, correct? Those rings were also made by them. If you contacted them directly, you might be able to buy it for 60,000 tols, but I sell it here at the central service for 70,000 tols. So, it’s a discount for you when combined with the 3 other items. What do you think?"
"Hmm? Are you saying this item is widely available?"
"Yes, the users of time-space dimensions can create many. However, only the Elf clan can use them effectively. Other races have tried to cultivate various plants in them, but the quality was poor, and people couldn’t enter. As a result, they are mainly sold to high-ranking races for plantation."
"............" Ellie pondered. Her dimension wasn’t great initially, but it still accelerated growth, didn’t it? Were they saying it didn’t work well, even with that ability? Or was it that only her dimension was considered good? Perhaps other races, not specializing in plantation, couldn’t use it as effectively.
"Are you interested?"
"You mentioned dimensional rings. How much do they cost?"
"Dimensional rings are sold for 5,500 tols at the central service. Every race uses them to gather resources. Although they are expensive initially, they are worth it." Ellie was stunned. It turned out that the dimensional rings were that cheap?
Her selfish, ah...it should be said that her business acumen kicked in again. If dimensional rings cost only 5,500 tols but were worth hundreds of gold coins in her kingdom, wouldn’t it be better to exchange them for weapons, potions, and other items instead of gold? Then she could trade those items here for profit. Surely, they would sell better than demon-slaying weapons!!
The demand for weapons to deal with demonic toxin would eventually fade once people realized that demonic beasts were no longer appearing frequently. So, Ellie planned to use the opportunity afterward to make continuous profits. It was all about maintaining a steady stream of earnings!!
“Alright, you keep 205,000 tols and convert the rest into dimensional rings for me.”
“Oh, that’s an excellent decision!” The staff was pleased to make a bit more profit from the lady in front of him. Ellie returned from the 7th floor with an additional secret dimension and 10 dimensional rings. However, she was most interested in the 3 spiritual items from the elves she had acquired.
Before she left, the staff warned her not to repeat the mistakes of the elves. Apparently, they had grown complacent with the convenience after reaching the 7th floor. Their superior plantation abilities allowed them to make continuous money, so they neglected their training to become stronger. They invested all their earnings into buying and working within these secret dimensions, many even stopped entering the tower to train or gather other resources, until one day they disappeared...
The staff gave this warning to ensure Ellie remained focused on her strength. He knew that anyone who reached the 7th floor must be extraordinary and didn’t want the human race that had made such a profit for him to vanish.
Ellie took the warning to heart. She had no intention of becoming a slave to production. If she really wanted to do that, she could create spiritual plants to do the work for her. Now that she understood the importance of the Microbial Spirit Orb, she planned to let it handle the heavy lifting, after centuries of merely soaking in water...
Upon obtaining the 2nd dimension, she immediately made a contract by using blood and botanic magic. This secret dimension was activated and functioned just as well as the first one. Ellie discovered that she couldn’t bring spiritual fruits into this new planting plot, likely a limitation because the trio had grown and fused within the first dimension, so they could only move within it.
She wasn’t upset. Instead, she planted various herbs in the second plot, intending to proceed slowly as she had with the first dimension. Then she turned her attention to the 3 new equipment.
- Spirit Watering Can, Level 5: Properties – Used for watering various plants to grow well.
Action Panel
Option One: Channel botanic magic power into the tool to create pure water with essential minerals for plant growth.
Option Two: Channel botanic magic power into the tool along with materials to create fertilizer that accelerates plant growth.
Option Three: Channel botanic magic power into the tool to create a water jet from the watering can.
Special Option: Already made a spirit contract; it can be stored within the spirit or summoned instantly. -
Just the first equipment had Ellie excited as she tested it in her 2nd secret dimension. Options 1 and 2 were quite useful, but it was Option Three, which acted like a powerful offensive weapon, that thrilled her the most. When she tried it out, she discovered she could control the water pressure, making it as forceful as a high-powered water cannon!
- Spirit Shovel, Level 5: Properties - Used for digging soil.
Action Panel
Option One: Channel botanic magic power into the tool to dig deep holes in the soil.
Option Two: Channel botanic magic power into the tool to use the pointed end to stab targets.
Option Three: Channel botanic magic power into the tool to dig underground tunnels.

Even though Ellie had some guessed about this 3 equipment based on her experiences, she never thought they would be this powerful. It seemed the staff’s warning was justified. The elves might have believed that simply enjoying what they did was enough, or perhaps their instinct to live harmoniously with nature rather than destroy it played a part. Otherwise, with such powerful tools, how could they have been easily defeated?
Although it was unfortunate, Ellie could do nothing about it. She focused on gathering as many resources as possible before returning to the institute. In the luxurious dining room of the Setter family, Steven, Aman, Owen, and the other girls were also present. They frequently enjoyed these top-notch meals. Ellie and Aman felt regret at having to leave the Setter family to return to their studies. Such convenience could easily lead to laziness.
However, the knowledge from their professors was invaluable. Ellie knew she couldn’t abandon it. Besides, her understanding of stratagems was growing steadily. Professor Nico was highly skilled, and his assistants were equally capable. Gaining hands-on experience with expert guidance was the best kind of learning.
“Tomorrow morning, I’ll let the Setter family members arrange for you to be taken to the institute, so you don’t need to wake up too early,” Steven informed everyone who needed to attend classes the next day. They all nodded in agreement, including Ellie.
“At present, the family needs to prepare many items for sale to raise funds. If there’s anything specific you need, just let us know, and we’ll prepare it for you,” Steven added. This was actually a message to Ellie, indicating that the Setter family had yet to gather resources for her. If she needed anything, she should ask directly.
Previously, they had bought a variety of items for Ellie, whether she needed them or not, to ensure she lacked nothing. However, now it was time to conserve resources. Some items had a limited lifespan, and it was better to ask her directly rather than sending unnecessary items.
"I don’t need anything more, thank you." Ellie understood the implication. She also knew how hard everyone was working to exchange for tol coins, so she didn’t want to burden them further.
Owen furrowed his brow. Even though she said she didn’t need anything, he would still ensure his people provided her with the necessary items. They had 10 years, after all. Additionally, providing resources to Ellie was something he should do. This girl had only one...and he didn’t want to be stingy with his girl.
Seeing Owen’s displeased expression, Steven paused slightly. He didn’t intend to refuse Ellie anything. He just wanted her to specify what she needed. Why was his son looking at him like that?!
Sensing the tension in the air, Ellie decided it was time to present the gifts, which she had prepared to give them after the meal, to ease everyone’s discomfort. She reached into her bag and handed out items that weren’t crucial for Owen. She gave 1 to Steven, 1 to Aman, and 1 each to the 2 girls, saving one each for Wint and Zoey.
"T-This is..." Steven was the most shocked. He already possessed 1, which had cost him a lot of resources. Who would have thought that the young girl before him would silently hand them out to everyone without saying a word?
"A dimensional ring?" Aman was stunned. Unlike his father, he was afraid that Ellie might change her mind, so he acted like a child afraid his candy might be taken after receiving it. In a similar way to how children from Ellie’s past world would lick their candy to claim ownership, Aman quickly dropped his blood onto the ring.
"Aya, Athena, why aren’t you dropping your blood on it yet!?" Aman didn’t act alone; he also urged his younger sisters to secure their newly received items. If they delayed any longer...he feared that their father or the elders might confiscate them!
The two girls hesitated, glancing at Ellie. But when they saw their future sister-in-law nod in approval, they decided to drop their blood on the rings. Although Steven wanted to stop them, he couldn’t say anything in front of the person who had given these gifts. He could only glare at the cunning Aman with dark eyes.
"Butler...I’m giving you 1 as well." Ellie handed 1 of the 4 remaining rings to the butler who had managed the family so well. Amid the shock of everyone present, the butler felt he shouldn’t accept it and intended to decline. But when he saw the approval from both the young lady and the eldest young lord, he could only accept it and make a binding contract. Steven nearly swallowed down his own blood...
"Lord Steven, please don’t worry too much. These dimensional rings are not that difficult to acquire. I didn’t buy many because I needed to keep some tol for myself. But I brought them mainly to propose a business opportunity."
"Hmm?" Steven, still puzzled, looked at the dimensional ring in his hand, while Owen listened closely to the young girl.
"Once the demand for demonic beast-slaying weapons decreases, you can sell these dimensional rings. Instead of exchanging them for gold coins, it might be better to trade them for resources. The original price of these rings is 5,500 tols each. You can buy them at the central service anytime. I’ve heard that one particular race manufactures them in large quantities, and nearly all high-level species possess them."
"Oh, is that so many?"
"Yes. You only need to trade 5,500 low-level weapons for one ring. That’s the cost price. But if we are trading, let’s aim for a higher profit."
"This...I see, so the cost is only 5,500 ordinary weapons? The dimensional rings are quite cheap over there!"
"Yes, just like the demonic toxin-countering weapons. Once everyone has one, their importance diminishes. No one would want dozens of low-level dimensional rings."
"Understood. With us being the sole supplier for the next 10 years, we should be able to make substantial profits," Steven and Ellie chatted enthusiastically. Aman chuckled with satisfaction, realizing he could also profit from this. After all, he was one of those who could access the 7th floor of the tower!Aman was indeed right. If he could find more items, he would discover that many goods unavailable in the kingdom were abundant at the central shop. In the end, this would be a truly profitable path without much effort!!
