Ellie leaped swiftly out of the way. Luckily, she had been cautious of the man in front of her, or she might have been in trouble. Initially, she thought the young man would attack with demonic toxin or other toxins, given his not-so-high magic power. However, the village chief’s son only used earth magic to attack Ellie, which made no sense at all.

The woman in Luke’s guise narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. It seemed that creating demonic toxin wasn’t easy. Even though the young man wanted to use it, he couldn’t summon it at will. This meant that these groups of demonic toxin creators were only good at creating the demonic toxin itself!

“Do you think you can defeat me with such limited power? Actually, I didn’t come here to harm anyone. It would be better if you gave up on this magical device,” Ellie tried negotiating with him.

“That’s not possible either. Even though fighting you might be a bit tough, this magical device is something we’ve been seeking for a long time. So, it wouldn’t be right to just let you take it easily.”

“Heh, heh, heh, then do you think you can defeat me? I am a skilled hunter. You should already know the difference between a hunter and an ordinary person like you. Your previous attack was enough to prove it, wasn’t it?”

“It’s true that my magic power can’t harm you, and my use of poison can’t defeat your beast either. However, I should have my own ways of fighting. Don’t you think?”

Ellie calmly surveyed the surroundings and saw that he merely took out a magical device.

“Yes, thanks to the battle with the Rhea Kingdom, I learned how to defeat people more effectively. I must thank those fools for that.” The young man took out and activated the magical device quickly. Ellie chuckled slightly, realizing his intentions the moment he took out the device.

It seemed that the strategy of the Rhea Kingdom would indeed cause many problems in the future. Even the group of demonic toxin creators could do this. It was predictable that there would be endless chaos in the future with the use of these teleportation devices.

“I’ve heard that you can easily disrupt the Rhea Kingdom’s plans. So, let’s see your performance this time.” He spoke his last words before disappearing with the activated magical device.

It could be said that even he couldn’t handle the consequences. Like the previous demonic toxin creator, they couldn’t truly control demonic beasts. The Setter family had categorized them into 2 main groups. The first group consisted of low-level demonic toxin creators who only knew how to create demonic beasts. Their abilities were the lowest tier. It was no surprise that the minimal memory of the previous demonic toxin creator showed that he knew nothing. He only saw many demonic toxin creators standing below receiving orders. However, in the upper echelon of that memory, there were indeed people standing there.

Even though only a small amount of information remained, it was evident that some demonic toxin creators could control beasts to obey their commands. The village chief’s son seemed to be only a low-level demonic toxin creator. He summoned the demonic beast, yet couldn’t stay to witness its fight. Even he would surely become its victim if he wasn’t careful.

“Grrr!!” The large beast lunged at Hunter Luke ferociously. Ellie merely sidestepped and drew a weapon she was less familiar with. If it had been before, she might have been struck, but her extensive training made the demonic beast’s attack seem too sluggish.

Ellie even had time to pretend to draw a dagger from her cloak. She then spun and lunged at the demonic beast, which was off-balance and sliding forward. With one hand, she grasped its head, and the large demonic beast’s strength allowed her to mount its back. Quickly, the beast halted as a sharp dagger pierced through its thick skull.

The sight of the demonic beast being struck down shocked the young man observing the strong hunter’s movements. He felt that claiming the level 6 spiritual equipment would be much more difficult. Still, he had done all he could.

His task was to locate the level 6 magical device, and he had successfully done so. The next steps should be handled by higher-ranking officials. Given that the magical device, which was useful for the group, was now in the hands of a renowned hunter, it was impossible for someone of his low rank to defeat and seize it.

The young man began to retreat, intending to flee while Hunter Luke was occupied with the last demonic beast. Though he failed to secure the level 6 magical device, he believed his leader wouldn’t blame him, given his performance today. Perhaps their group wouldn’t just gain the magical device but also turn this hunter to be their follower.

Well...In his mind, everyone feared death, including this hunter. “W-Who are you!?”

Ellie returned the 2 daggers to Owen. She heard that he could use the weapons that had dealt with the demonic beasts to their advantage. The daggers that had slain the demonic beasts and now contained demonic toxin, Ellie couldn’t utilize them effectively, and the little Apple didn’t need much demonic toxin. Although it wasn’t affected by the toxins, large quantities could still pose a risk.

"Oh...In that case, I’ll leave it to you," Ellie nodded in agreement. It was unusual for Owen to explain things in such detail, but his reasoning was sound, and she had no reason to refuse. If she ever found herself in a dangerous situation and needed to call upon her little Apple, she could always summon it through her spirit.

Above all, it was the eager gaze of the stubborn little Apple. Knowing that it might get to stay outside to eat and play, instead of returning to a dormant state like before, filled it with immense joy. Ellie could sense its overwhelming enthusiasm and had no choice but to comply.

When the girl returned to the village to confirm her position, a trusted shadow emerged. Bound by a slave contract, he was reliable, though Owen never let even small matters slip by unnoticed. He handled everything with the utmost strictness, ensuring no mistakes were made. His time spent recovering from injuries seemed to have left him unwilling to take any risks...

"Mmm. Get the men ready. I plan to seize another city on the 6th floor."

The brief but clear command made the shadow paused slightly. He had anticipated more work the moment he heard his master’s plans.
