This Giant Dragon is So Powerful!
Chapter 492 146: Fierce Battle Among the Four Powerhouses (Part 2)
But it's different for the Ancient Golden Dragon Ignis, whose strength is much weaker. It evades clumsily, and even so, a small portion of tentacles manage to ensnare.
Tentacles twist around the golden dragon body, faint traces of crimson gleaming faintly, as an immense amount of chaotic stray thoughts rush into the Ancient Golden Dragon's head, causing unbearable pain.
Seeing the situation turn dire, the Mother of Deep Red Alexrela breathes out a blaze of golden flame, severing the tentacles binding the Ancient Golden Dragon Ignis.
Ancient Golden Dragon Ignis gets a moment of respite and instantly teleports dozens of kilometers away, panting as it watches the energy giant hand that keeps growing, emitting tentacles, a look of fear in its dragon eyes.
What a terrifying attack.
This form of attack inevitably reminds Ignis of a familiar creature.
The End Messenger living in the Sea Abyss Realm!
Thinking of the previous destruction of the Sea People Empire by the Black Wing Nest, Ignis feels a sudden ominous suspicion.
Could it be.....
"Could the Black Dragon Lord possess the terrifying ability to plunder other creatures' talents?" Ignis speculates in its mind.
The Black Dragon Lord itself has many special abilities, which is already somewhat odd, as mutation alone cannot account for every type of ability.
Unless the Black Dragon Lord's mutation ability is precisely the talent-plundering mutation ability.
Understanding this, Ignis suddenly realizes why those Legendary Followers of the Black Wing Nest also possess peculiar and powerful talents.
"This ability not only allows self-usage through plundering, but can even bestow usage upon subordinates. Truly terrifying." Ignis muses with dread.
All these thoughts happen within the span of a moment.
In the next instant, the Ancient Golden Dragon Ignis activates all the Spell Matrices on Dragon Island, a terrifying repulsion force forcibly opening up a massive corridor through the despair-inducing energy giant hand.
Seeing the corridor appear, Ignis hesitates hardly at all, intending to fly straight into it.
Once on Dragon Island, as the owner of Dragon Island, Ignis can elevate its combat power by a tier, while fully unleashing the Floating Island's terrifying might.
With the strength of a Level 25 Ancient Golden Dragon, it could fully erupt the island's limit abilities to Level 27.
Though it might still be weaker than the master of this energy giant hand, it would be enough to resist temporarily.
However, just as Ignis wants to ascend the island, a seven-colored light flies from afar, narrowly avoided by Ignis at the last moment.
Missing a golden opportunity, Ignis sees the opened corridor restore itself, gnashing its teeth, dragon eyes flicker with rage.
It turns its dragon head to the Seven-Colored Merfolk Izuna descending here, asking in a low voice,
"Seven-Colored Merfolk, with your noble bloodline, why do you serve under a mere Black Dragon?!"
Izuna squints its eyes, smiling faintly, "Ancient Golden Dragon, you completely fail to understand the greatness of the master."
Izuna's eyes reveal intent to kill, yet also show pity.
Intent to kill, due to Ignis's insulting words towards the master; pity, for knowing Ignis's fate.
Its fate is already decided.
Because, just when tentacles ensnared Ignis's dragon body earlier, the Void Seed was quieted injected by the End-of-the-Road Messenger Die.
Creatures of Legendary Tier can sense foreign energy blends; normally, Ignis could notice the Void Seed's intrusion the instant it occurs, then discard or annihilate that flesh portion to likely stop the Void Seed's injection.
But ensnared by tentacles, Ignis falls into chaos, utterly unaware that in the briefest moment, it becomes a reserve of the Void Followers.
"Your best choice now is to leave here obediently, then await the master's call." Izuna looks at the Ancient Golden Dragon disparagingly, as if granting it with alms, yet also implying it's its honor.
Insulted by Izuna's attitude, the Ancient Golden Dragon Ignis can tolerate no more.
If it can't break into Dragon Island, then let's teach this Seven-Colored Merfolk a lesson.
As for whether it can defeat them?
At this moment, Ignis cares little for such matters.
"Alexrela, let's capture this creature together!" Through Spiritual Power transmission, Ignis reaches a tacit understanding with the Mother of Deep Red Alexrela.
Since preventing Dragon Island's refinement by that unknown strong figure is impossible, capturing this Seven-Colored Merfolk to threaten or demand the Black Dragon Lord to relinquish Dragon Island becomes the plan.
Though the likelihood is low.
It's not capturing the Seven-Colored Merfolk's likelihood that's low, for the strength of two Ancient Dragons, especially the Mother of Deep Red Alexrela's, means there's definite chance to capture a Fifteenth-Level High Order Seven-Colored Merfolk.
The low possibility is in using the Seven-Colored Merfolk to threaten the Black Dragon Lord to hand over Dragon Island.
The value of Dragon Island far surpasses that of a Level 25 Seven-Colored Merfolk.
The Seven-Colored Merfolk, with an absolutely royal bloodline within the Merfolk Race, holds vast potential, achieving Legend easily without barriers, with decent odds of becoming high-tier Legendary.
But after reaching high-tier Legendary, most of the Seven-Colored Merfolk's potential reaches its limit, making further advancement difficult.
After all, for high-tier Legend, every step forward is one towards crossing into Divine Spirit and Immortality, each increment challenging as climbing the heavens.
This can be seen from the Mother of Deep Red Alexrela, whose Dragon Age is over three thousand years.
Red Dragons are already a relatively powerful species in the Star Realm, let alone Ancient Red Dragons?
Though ordinary Ancient Red Dragons' potential still falls short compared to Seven-Colored Merfolk.
But is the Mother of Deep Red Alexrela an ordinary Ancient Red Dragon?
It's an anomalously mutated Ancient Red Dragon!
Regarding potential, it vastly exceeds the ordinary Seven-Colored Merfolk.
However, this anomalously potential-rich mutated Ancient Red Dragon merely reaches Level 26 at over three thousand years.
Even advancing to high-tier Legend at over two thousand years, namely, Level 25.
After reaching Level 25, nearly a thousand years are spent to gain just one level.
This is still for a potential-rich mutated Ancient Red Dragon; for other life forms and species, forget a thousand years—even ten thousand couldn't guarantee breaking through a tier.
Numerous high-tier Legend life forms, from their breakthrough till spending tens of thousands of years and exhausting their lifespan, struggle to progress further.
This observation isn't exaggerated.
Facing the siege of two Ancient Dragons, the Seven-Colored Merfolk Izuna doesn't flinch, skillfully unleashing various water abilities to bombard the Ancient Dragons.
The three engage fiercely for half an hour, ultimately resulting in the defeat of mere Fifteenth-Level High Order Izuna.
Captured alive by the Level 26 Low Order Mother of Deep Red Alexrela.
However, capturing Izuna costs not insignificantly, as the Mother of Deep Red Alexrela's body suffers over a third of its Blazing Flame Dragon Scale shatter, its vitality slightly wilting.
And the Ancient Golden Dragon Ignis fares worse, one Dragon Wing and one Dragon Horn missing.
The weakened, dying Izuna is bound within the Mother of Deep Red Alexrela's Dragon Claw, its once graceful and beautiful body like porcelain faintly crumbling, its vitality plummeting to the extreme, barely staying at Tier Five, its capability vastly diminished by tens of times.
The two Ancient Dragons glance at each other with heavy emotion and slight trepidation.
This Seven-Colored Merfolk fights recklessly, employing various power-consuming, potential-overdrafting methods frantically, leaving them worn and weary.
If it weren't for the Mother of Deep Red Alexrela's distinctly mighty prowess, standing at the pinnacle within the same tier and advancing by a tier, indeed this Seven-Colored Merfolk would have imparted a costly lesson.
"Let's return first." The Mother of Deep Red Alexrela looks toward Dragon Island, enveloped by the energy giant hand, sensing its weakening struggle, knowing its core will soon be refined by the unknown Level 27 strong figure.
