"Sid... has been poisoned!"

The physician’s panicked voice made Cleia’s heart tremble. She suddenly pushed aside the physician, leaned closer to her brother, and looked at his pale, handsome face.

"What poison? Can it be cured?" Cleia suppressed the anger and anxiety in her heart, turned her head, and shouted at the physician.

The middle-aged physician, in his forties, swallowed hard, looking at the furious young lady and the increasingly weakened young master lying in the carriage, spoke with some difficulty,

"We only know it’s a powerful toxin, but the specific type..."

Before the middle-aged physician could finish his sentence, Cleia’s bloodshot eyes stared at him so intensely that he dared not continue.

Rumor had it that the eldest lady of the Kagano family, Cleia Kagano, was a doting sister, and now it seemed true... In typical noble families, such harmonious sibling relationships were rarely seen.

Just as the atmosphere was suffocatingly tense, the mayor of Wind Language Town arrived at the manor on a glossy-maned horse, accompanied by several mounted guards and a coachman hauling a carriage behind.

"Lord Kagano, I am Thorne Lex, the administrator of Wind Language Town...."

The flabby Thorne dismounted with the help of his guards, hurriedly running towards the luxurious carriage to offer his anxious apologies.

An assassination attempt on a noble occurred in the town he governed, and the target was his future superior. How could Thorne not feel anxious?

However, when Thorne approached the carriage, ready to apologize, the scene before his eyes made his heart tremble.

It’s all over.

Thorne’s legs gave way, his 200-pound oval body plopped down on the ground.

Inside the carriage, Cleia paid no attention to the panicked Thorne; she hung her head low, with her long black hair cascading onto Sid’s body, obscuring her expression from anyone.

Yet, everyone present, including the horses, seemed to feel the oppressive atmosphere, hardly daring to breathe.

While everyone’s eyes and attention were focused on the luxurious carriage, beneath the black cloth of the carriage that accompanied the Wind Language Town’s administrator, lay a massive stone with a golden-red hue quietly resting on the deck.

At a certain moment, a ripple passed through a basin-sized slab that was almost fused with the giant stone.

A faint consciousness awoke from within.

"Finally awoken from slumber." Udi’s consciousness stirred within the Reversed Scale, the natural time sense of the Giant Dragon making it aware of its lengthy slumber.

According to Tal’s time, it had been asleep for three months since it entered this unknown world.

"No issues with such a long period; it should be safe..." Udi thought, then cautiously began to extend its consciousness outward.

It ’saw’ a group of people, their attire reminiscent of a mix between modern Western styles and Otherworld adventurer fashion from Tal’s human era.

Judging by clothing and accessories, this world... or rather the place it landed, wasn’t too backwards, with a civilization likely surpassing Tal.

Udi sensed the life magnet field strength of these people.

"So weak, the strongest aura only akin to a Second-level Jackal Wolfman, while the rest are all Level 0 weaklings," Udi mused.

In Star Realm, Level 0 to Level 4 are collectively referred to as Low Tier, Low-Level Life Forms; theoretically, even without Extraordinary Power, they can still reach such levels.

Just as Udi considered expanding its range to investigate more, it suddenly felt its consciousness wavering.

Meanwhile, its already limited Spiritual Power was quickly depleting.

That’s not good.

Having spent considerable effort entering this world, if Udi lost it upon waking, it would be extremely frustrated.

"This one will do."

Udi’s consciousness and Spirit locked onto the dying young man in the carriage; among everyone present, the young man, the girl beside him, and the panic-stricken fat man sitting on the ground all felt strange and peculiar to Udi’s senses.

And with the young man gravely injured and near death, he was evidently the best target. No, he was already dead when the thought crossed Udi’s mind.

Without any hesitation, Udi’s consciousness and remaining Spiritual Power poured out from the Reversed Scale, crossing several dozen meters and surging into the deceased young man’s body.

During this process, the Spiritual Power depleted even faster, vanishing ninety percent in nearly a blink.

At the moment of inhabiting the young man’s body, Udi controlled the last bit of Spiritual Power to condense the spread toxins within the body and expel them.

Simultaneously, the arrow wound in the back was forcibly closed with muscle control, as the toxic arrow had already been removed by the physician.

After completing these tasks, Udi’s Spiritual Power was entirely exhausted, leaving only a pure fragment of consciousness.

The consciousness wandered within the young man’s body, eventually burrowing into a peculiar, perceptionless space.

"What is this place..." Udi’s consciousness cautiously observed the space, but soon, as information flooded in from the space, Udi gradually understood its function.

"Spirit Cage... imprisoning Curse Spirits, manipulating Curse Spirits, absorbing Curse Spirits... this world is truly fascinating."

Just as Udi contemplated further exploration of this peculiar space, a sense of awakening surged forth.

Outside, Cleia’s previously dull face suddenly shone with joy; before her, her brother, whose breath had almost vanished, suddenly stabilized and slowly opened his eyes.
