Chapter 110: 110: Task: Bath.

Sunnie went through the task instructions. All she had to do was make Azure successfully give Maren a bath? She guessed it was part of a task to improve their relationship.

And for the fact that it was a baby raising x husband taming alert simply proved that it was a task that would support both spaces.

And the reward? New clothing material. Sunnie couldn’t tell who that would be for. The system didn’t specify.

Sunnie smiled as she turned to Azure. "Why don’t you give her a bath instead?"

Azure stared at her, surprised. "Me? Give her a bath? I don’t know how that will be possible... I mean, it doesn’t seem like little Maren will agree to it... And besides..." He hesitated. "I don’t know how to give a little baby a bath. I never learned."

Sunnie stared at him. She could see him getting nervous about the task. It was indeed his first time, so he was clearly worried that he might not be able to do it right.

Sunnie found it funny because the all-knowing Azure was worried about not getting something right for once.

She smiled and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll teach you. I’ll go with you and show you. Then I’ll leave you to do the rest." Sunnie guessed she’d have to come along because the little one probably wouldn’t want to go with Azure alone.

Eris smiled. "Is the all-knowing Azure nervous or what? He can’t bathe his own kid?"

Azure held his head high. "Of course I can. It’s nothing much," he insisted as he stared at Sunnie. "Okay then. Let’s go."

Sunnie smiled. "Sure."

Sunnie carried little Maren in her arms as she kicked and struggled to stay firmly in place. Sunnie wiped off her face as they walked. "Is it just me, or have you grown heavier?" Sunnie asked as they moved.

Little Maren simply made some inaudible sounds while in her arms. Sunnie ran her fingers through Maren’s chest, and the little one giggled.

Sunnie smiled, staring at Azure. "Would you like to try?"

Azure stared and shook his head. "No need."

Sunnie smiled. "Are you sad that she’s not comfortable with you yet?" She stared at him.

Azure kept a calm expression. "No. I’m okay with it. I mean, it’s normal most of the time. I’m knowledgeable enough to know that."

Sunnie said, "You don’t have to pretend as if you’re okay with it. It’s okay to want your baby’s affection and attention too." She smiled warmly at him.

Azure stared down at the little one and slowly smiled. "I guess so."

They soon arrived at the river. Sunnie and her husbands had developed a separate pool from the river for bathing.

They had dug a hole with the help of the beavers—one big enough to be a small stream. Then they channeled some water from the river into it. There, they would be able to take their baths. Sunnie had arrived there with Maren to give her a bath.

She sat down close to the water with Maren in her arms. "So, listen closely. I’ll give you the basic instructions on how to bathe the little one." She explained as Maren played in the water.

Sunnie explained that he simply needed to get her into the water, and then she presented Azure with the sponge-like leaves he could use to wash her body.

"...and after that, use these flowers to scent her. Okay?" As Sunnie finished speaking, Azure slowly nodded. He had gotten the full instructions.

Sunnie was done, so she knelt before the water to clean her face and skin that had been dirtied by the mud from Maren.

While she was cleaning herself up, she felt Azure staring at her from the side. She turned to meet his gaze.

Sunnie smiled. "What? Do you want to help me clean up?"

Azure swallowed as he stared at her. He couldn’t stop his eyes from running from her exposed chest down to her exposed stomach. It was pale and glowing from the water she had cleaned herself with, and he felt himself moved by it.

Sunnie smiled, staring at his face. "Don’t be shy. We’ve done it before, and you’ve seen it all. So you don’t have to shy away." Sunnie leaned closer to Azure, who was sitting close to her.

He stiffened, his eyes running through her face. Sunnie ran her fingers to his chin and brought them down to his chest. She felt the lines of his bare body before her fingers came up to his lips.

She pressed his lips with her fingers with a teasing smile. "You’re red already... I guess you’re still hungry for more." Sunnie smiled as she leaned closer.

Removing her finger from his lips, she pressed a kiss against his mouth—a brief but intense kiss. She ran her tongue into his mouth and played it against his tongue.

Azure felt a rush within him as he stretched out his hands, gripping her by the waist while pulling her in for a deeper kiss.

But the kiss lasted only a minute before she pulled back. Sunnie smiled as she stared at his glittering blue eyes. "You’re already hard down there," she said, running her fingers from his abs down to his bulge. "Too bad, the kid’s here, so we can’t do it." Sunnie smiled as she got up to her feet.

Azure sat there, calming down from the intense urge the kiss had stirred in him. He stared at Sunnie, who was playing with Maren near the water. When she was done, Sunnie left little Maren to continue playing in the water.

She turned to Azure and said, "I have something to do, so I have to leave. Do a good job giving her a proper bath, okay?" She winked at Azure as she turned and set off.

Azure was left alone, sitting near the water and staring at his daughter, who was distracted while playing. She was so absorbed that she didn’t even notice when her mother left.

Azure stared at her for a while and then let out a deep breath. He was nervous because he didn’t know what to expect from the child. But he was hopeful that he would at least get this done.
