After a few jokes, Luo Ziling gave Lin Lan another acupuncture treatment.

The check-up and treatment proceeded simultaneously, allowing him to gauge the extent of Lin Lan’s injuries and her recovery progress through the circulation of qi and blood in her body while he applied the needles.

Fortunately, Lin Lan’s condition had improved; the flow of her qi and blood was relatively smooth, which alleviated some of Luo Ziling’s worries.

To ensure that Lin Lan could sleep peacefully, he had her undress completely before the acupuncture treatment, meaning that she was, just like the patients in the intensive care units of hospitals, not wearing any clothes.

Luo Ziling didn’t return the calls but sent messages back to Ling Ruonan and Yang Qingyin, saying he had been treating Lin Lan all along. Lin Lan was seriously injured and in danger of losing her life, so he had to stay by her side.

For the others’ messages, he merely replied with a brief sentence, saying he had something very, very important to do today and couldn’t be in contact with the outside world, asking for their understanding.

Ling Ruonan’s message came back right away. She didn’t say much, just told Luo Ziling to take care of himself and not to exhaust himself.

If he didn’t have time today, then the visit to the old mansion and the treatment for grandpa could be postponed to another day, and she would explain for him.

Yang Qingyin, however, didn’t reply to the message right away.

After waiting a while and still with no reply from Yang Qingyin, Luo Ziling felt a hint of unease in his heart.
