Chapter 1423: Chapter 1440: I Will Definitely Go Find Her
Nangong Zhongli watched Liang Shaochen suffering a loss and couldn’t help letting out a sharp scream.
"Qin Yi! Stop! Stop it!"
Qin Yi seemed not to hear.
Not until Nangong Zhongli’s whole body fell off the bed, letting out a groan.
Qin Yi suddenly turned around and saw Nangong Zhongli collapsed on the floor, her face deathly pale, her expression twitching. His expression changed, and he rushed over in a hurry.
"Miss Zhong Li!"
Liang Shaochen had fallen beside the clothes rack in the corner, blood flowing from the corner of his mouth, his handsome face instantly becoming disheveled and battered.
He furrowed his beautiful brows, braced himself against the wall and stood up, wiping the blood at the corner of his mouth as he did so.
By this time Qin Yi had already helped Nangong Zhongli back onto the bed. One of her legs was bleeding through, the empty pant leg instantly dyed bright red. The sheet was stained red as well. Her whole body was in such pain that cold sweat broke out on her forehead, and she couldn’t make a sound.
The doctor quickly rushed over, pushing a cart and placing Nangong Zhongli onto it.
Liang Shaochen stood to the side, watching Nangong Zhongli being pushed away, and Qin Yi also bolted out the door after them.
He straightened the hem of his clothes. Just then, Liao Ping, who had been waiting outside all along, hurried over.
Seeing the scene in front of him and the bruises on Liang Shaochen’s face, he couldn’t help being shocked.
"Young master, are you alright?! Do you need to see a doctor?"
"I’m fine." Liang Shaochen said coldly, taking off his jacket and throwing it to Liao Ping, his face expressionless as he walked toward the elevator.
Liao Ping followed behind, casting a glance at the fresh blood on the floor of the ward, and the faint blood smell spreading through the room, his own face full of stunned horror.

America.
Stanford University.
Tang Yan was wearing a white shirt, holding a guitar in his hands, sitting on the lawn.
Several books lay beside him, but he was cradling the guitar, playing with focused attention. His long eyelashes drooped, like an angel’s wings.
The beautiful melody quickly drew in many blonde girls to crowd around and watch. Everyone’s expression was intent, and every time he paused even slightly, they all couldn’t help but clap and cheer.
Sunlight filtered through the branches, falling on his fair cheeks.
His whole face was so pure it was almost translucent.
The tune was graceful, yet seemed to carry a faint sadness.
"Anyle, you play so well, can you sign something for me?" When the piece ended, a bold girl stepped forward, looked at Tang Yan and asked, holding a pen in her hand.
Tang Yan raised his eyes slightly.
"Sure." He said with a faint smile.
The girl, thrilled, hurriedly handed him the pen. Tang Yan smiled and said, "Where do you want me to sign?"
The girl suddenly turned around, lifting her curly blond hair to reveal her beautiful collarbones and full bust; on the low-cut T-shirt, the full curves of her chest loomed faintly into view.
Just sign it here.
She looked at Tang Yan, pointed to the area below her collarbone, and said, her gaze suggestive.
Tang Yan only smiled, took the pen, and signed his name.
This move drew waves of screams from the other girls.
One girl, unwilling to be outdone, came up and asked bluntly, "Anyle, do you have a girlfriend? Can I be your girlfriend?"
Tang Yan smiled; he’d long since grown used to foreign girls’ enthusiasm, and he answered just as straightforwardly, "Sorry, I... already have one."
"You do? But I heard from the Black guys that you’re single..." the girl said, her face full of disappointment.
The other girls all couldn’t help showing their disappointment as well.
Tang Yan’s gaze drifted toward the distant sports field.
Some boys were playing basketball.
But his eyes seemed to see another time altogether.
He thought of a face that was innocent yet adorably cute.
His gaze softened a little, and he said, "She’s not here, but I think that someday, I’ll go and find her."
