Chapter 290 - 184: Heart Dream Mirror, the Illusory Dream Wizard’s Shock

Metal Chains as thick as pillars, inscribed with tiny Runes, pulsed with Extraordinary Power. They were an extension of a Witch Array Technique, stretching far from the Sword Mountain to the center of a sea of fire.

The purpose of the Witch Array Technique was to channel the thermal energy of the Earth Fire from the sea of fire to special smelting sites on the Sword Mountain.

Each smelting site had one such metal Chain. The members of the Divine Blood School, all Wizards, were bare-chested and hammering away with all their might. Their muscles trembled as they further tempered their Physiques.

A deep blue luster glowed in Wang Ya’s pupils as he began to understand the principles at work.

By using the Earth Fire in combination with special Particle Energy amplitudes, they continuously enhanced their Physical Strength.

This method didn’t exist in the Land of Inheritance. It must be part of the inherited knowledge of the Divine Blood Lineage.

The Divine Blood Wizards were quite generous. They were willing to share this knowledge with all members of their School, not just the Heritage Wizards of their lineage.

Perhaps it was also because the Wizards who joined the Divine Blood School were all rather unique.

As Wang Ya walked along the catwalk and through the smelting area, the air, filled with sputtering sparks and evaporating sweat, carried an aesthetic of raw power unique to the Divine Blood Wizards.

They all had identical, gleaming shaved heads. Even as Wang Ya walked past, they never shifted their gaze, their entire focus locked on the Extraordinary Metal before them.

In a way, the members of the Divine Blood School were exceptionally frightening.

The Illusory Dream Lineage had its own unique neural inheritance.

He believed the Divine Blood Lineage’s special Body Refining Technique was not as simple as merely tempering the flesh and increasing one’s physical statistics.

Through his Eye of Truth, Wang Ya also discovered that many of the Wizards had replaced their flesh and blood with a large number of metallic constructs.

This Earth Fire tempering method could even refine the Extraordinary Metal constructs within their bodies. The constructs would turn crimson, seemingly absorbing the heat to purge impurities from the material itself.

Wang Ya was alarmed. ’These guys are insane. Are they forging themselves like Extraordinary Witchcraft Artifacts, or is this a unique trait of Mechanical Wizards?’

He watched as one Wizard submerged his wrist into a vat of scalding, liquid Extraordinary Metal. The flesh and skin melted away instantly, revealing a distinct cannon barrel where his wrist should have been. The arm was continuously absorbing the molten metal.

Wang Ya’s eyelid twitched as he pondered the principles at play.

’Metal smelting?’

’The material-replacement constructs of Mechanical Wizards... what else...?’ Wang Ya’s eyes narrowed. He felt like he was grasping a key point.

’Temperature difference!’

’The Particle Energy seems to be affected by temperature. Its activity increases drastically.’

As he walked through the area, Wang Ya suddenly stopped, his eyes shining with an intense light.

’Of course!’

’Temperature differences can affect the activity and inertness of physical matter.’

’Refrigeration uses low temperatures to preserve flesh and blood, but once it gets cold enough, it becomes a force of death that can kill anything.’

’Conversely, extreme heat is also fundamentally capable of destroying everything.’

’Everything in the universe is in motion, from the macroscopic to the microscopic. Living creatures, plants, inorganic matter like metals—all of it is defined by the movement of tiny particles at the microscopic level.’

’Particle Energy is part of this system; it cannot be separated from it.’

’Motion produces kinetic energy.’

’Temperature can increase the movement of these tiny particles... and that energy can be transferred, whether hot or cold...’ A torrent of brilliant ideas flooded Wang Ya’s mind, visions for creating countless new forms of Witchcraft, branching out in all directions.

He even conceived of the structure for a new Witchcraft School. For example, a Witchcraft that could be applied to a living being, using Fire Element Particle Energy to raise its temperature and increase its kinetic energy, allowing it to unleash immense Power for a short time.

The price, of course, would be the individual burning out completely, blooming like a beautiful firework for one brilliant instant.

This was definitely achievable. As long as he had enough time to perfect it, the result would be a Middle-tier Witchcraft at the very least.

There were many other applications as well, not just for living beings but also for the environment and for Biological Force Fields. But all of that was secondary. The most important thing was that Wang Ya felt he had grasped a key to understanding Particle Energy Property Changes.

The unique Particle Energy Property Changes that he so desired to make his own.

’Adding kinetic energy... slowing kinetic energy... I’m still lost. My foundation is still too shallow.’

Wang Ya shook his head, deciding not to dwell on the problem for now.

He filed the thoughts away in the depths of his mind. When the time came, they would naturally resurface.

Once he studied and mastered the two Lower Rank Extraordinary Knowledge Witch Books from the White Bone Wizard and the Rhein Wizard, his foundation would deepen, and some of these perplexing problems would naturally solve themselves.

...

Wang Ya stepped into the deepest part of the Sword Mountain, where the largest smelting site was located. A total of ninety-nine Chains channeled Earth Fire from outside the mountain, delivering it to this place.

The ambient temperature was outrageous, at least 5,000 degrees.

His Fire Element Witchcraft could reach a million degrees, but only for an instant.

This place, however, radiated that intense heat constantly.

Another four thousand degrees, and the temperature would be high enough to generate the lasers of his past life.

It was a terrifying thought.

If an ordinary mortal were to appear here, the moisture in their body would likely evaporate in an instant, causing them to shrivel into a dried corpse and spontaneously combust.

Wang Ya had no choice but to activate his Particle Energy Shield to mitigate the negative effects of the heat.
