The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 134 104: The Final 15 Days, an Earth-Shattering Transformation

It was like the Fire Element Particle Energy and Water Element Particle Energy used by Elemental Wizards.

Wang Ya's line of thought was to find a way to adjust the power of his Witchcraft by altering the inertia and activity of the Particle Energy. This was a very practical method, and almost all Elemental Wizards advanced along this path.

But while the path was correct, it was incredibly difficult to walk. The time and computational power required were far too immense, which was why Elemental Wizards became synonymous with growing stronger with age.

They accumulated knowledge, studying the differences between inertia and activity to find different vibrational frequencies within the Particle Energy, thereby obtaining Particle Energy with different properties.

The number of types, variables, and complexities involved was, on some level, no simpler than a Bloodline Wizard breaking through their own bloodline shackles.

One could only say that every Wizard System had its own corresponding difficulties. As long as one could solve them, they would leave everyone else in the dust on their Wizard Path.

Wang Ya was different. He possessed the Eye of Truth, which gave him a computational aid that other Wizards lacked, giving him a greater advantage in completing any research.

'Legend has it that the White Bone Wizard discovered a Special Particle Energy with a unique frequency. Through continuous, in-depth research, they calculated the precise amplitude of movement for various particles at that frequency—or perhaps their diffusion as waves—which ultimately resulted in the terrifying weapon known as White Bone Particle Energy.'

Wang Ya sat in his study, feather pen in hand, and began to scribble on a piece of scratch paper, constantly making changes as he organized his thoughts.

Researching and improving Witchcraft was not so simple. One had to consider the balance points of the original Witchcraft, even when using the most common Elemental Particle Energy or attribute-less Particle Energy from within the body. The difficulty was still there; in fact, it was extremely high.

From this, one could imagine just how rare a creation the White Bone Particle Energy developed by the White Bone Wizard was, along with the many White Bone Witchcraft spells created from it. It could even be called a miracle.

Even Wang Ya wasn't fully confident he could complete the research and discovery of a Special Particle Energy, let alone create a host of related Witchcraft.

Of course, his current plan was merely to improve the Witchcraft he had already learned. He was experimenting with Particle Energy, laying a foundation for future experiments.

'The effect of Witchcraft is produced by the collision of particles on the microscopic level of Particle Energy. This seems to correspond to some concepts from my past life.'

Wang Ya was suddenly reminded of the collision between atoms and the various feats of technological firepower produced through temperature changes.

'What if I experimentally make the inert and active states of Particle Energy interact, causing a collision between the two...'

'The result is unknown, but the general idea, and even the direction of my future Particle Energy experiments, will follow this path.'

Wang Ya gradually became immersed in the process of improving and creating Witchcraft. At the same time, he didn't forget to bring new Extraordinary Creatures for Harak. He even spent a huge sum to purchase several Middle-tier Extraordinary Creatures.

Wang Ya couldn't accurately judge what level of Extraordinary Creature Harak had become, but he could say that among Middle-tier Extraordinary Creatures, it would be difficult to find a worthy opponent.

Five months passed in the blink of an eye. There was only one month left until the Secret Realm competition began.

The Dark Land Headquarters gradually grew livelier. Even Wizards stationed in remote Wizard Cities returned via Teleportation Arrays, not wanting to miss the grand event in the Dark Land.

The main attraction for them was naturally not the Lower House freshmen's Secret Realm competition, but the competitions between Wizards of other levels. Even Wizards at the Extreme Wizard Apprentice Level would fight in the Battlefield.

This fueled many people's expectations, as everyone wanted to see which Extreme Wizard Apprentice would come out on top. They even secretly set up betting pools and other gambling activities.

The Lower House's Secret Realm competition was also part of the betting, but compared to the other pools, its scale and odds were much smaller.

The posturing had also begun. Members of the Wizard Clans and Wizards from the School Lineages were full of animosity for each other, already discussing their respective plans in advance.

The order of the Secret Realm competition would start with the Lower House freshmen and go all the way up to the highest level, the Extreme Wizard Apprentices.

SPLASH!

A huge waterfall cascaded down, feeding a river in the Primitive Forest. The river flowed toward the deeper regions, its current not rushed. It was as smooth as a mirror, without a single ripple, reflecting two figures in Wizard Robes walking along the path.

One of them, dressed in a black Wizard Robe, wore a smile as if he were on a spring outing. He spoke to the tall figure beside him, pointing here and there at the surrounding environment.

The figure in the Gray Wizard Robe stood with a ramrod-straight back, his face stern and serious at all times. He turned a deaf ear to Xugus Wizard's words, but a faint frown creased his brow, suggesting his mind was not entirely at peace.

"Oh, my dear, uninteresting Saiya, you shouldn't be so dull. No girl will ever like you this way," Xugus Wizard said with a light chuckle. "We've been here many times, haven't we? Don't tell me you still blush and get shy at the thought of seeing that old hag, Erin."

Saiya Wizard's sharp eyebrows twitched upward. He gave Xugus a blank-faced glance and continued walking with his standardized posture.

The deeper they walked, the sparser the trees and foliage became. Eventually, all that remained were withered branches and dry vegetation, filling the air with a sense of desolation.

In a clearing in the forest, at the center of a swirl of fallen leaves, a figure in a Cyan Wizard Robe seemed to sense something. She emerged from a state of seated meditation with eyes closed, stood up, and walked toward the edge of the clearing.

Her cyan hair danced in the autumn wind. Her dark, shapely eyebrows were slightly furrowed, and her emotionless eyes, like a placid well, couldn't help but flicker when she saw Xugus Wizard and Saiya Wizard.

The sight of Xugus, in particular, made her already impassive face grow even more distant and cold.

The three of them had a conversation, the content of which was related to the upcoming Secret Realm competition.

It was about a preliminary alliance between the three Schools, a joint plan to compete for the quotas, and which powerful enemies they would face.

"Let's settle on that arrangement. I'm sure Yi Si would be more than happy to fight Kaze Antuun. They're old rivals, practically old friends," Xugus said with a smile. No matter how you looked at it, however, his smile was utterly malicious.

Saiya Wizard and Erin Wizard had no objections. They had discussed it many times before; this was just the final confirmation of the plan.

"Oh, by the way, do you two want to have some fun? I found an interesting little fellow in the Lower House. He even refused a personal invitation from Yi Si," Xugus said, badmouthing Wizard Yi Si without a care as he recounted the specific process and details.

The "fun" he was talking about was, of course, related to the betting pools—guessing who would win and who would lose.

Erin Wizard's thin lips were nearly colorless. They moved as she spoke, "You want us to bet on this little guy named Wang Ya Harak to win?"

"Is he the survivor of the Evil God incident?" Saiya Wizard suddenly interjected, then said no more. His expression remained just as serious.

Xugus Wizard stretched lazily, plucked the last few leaves from a nearby tree, and threw them to the ground to mix with the other withered, yellow leaves.

"Bet however you want. It all comes down to the final result. Anyway, my principal is Ten Thousand Magic Stones."

Saiya Wizard spoke up: "I'll match with Ten Thousand Magic Stones, but I'm betting against you."

Erin Wizard: "Ten Thousand Magic Stones. I'll bet he makes it to the final stage of the Secret Realm."

"No problem, I'll set it all up for you," Xugus Wizard said, his smile growing even wider.

「Fifteen days later」

Wang Ya walked out of his laboratory. His face showed a hint of fatigue, but it was overshadowed by the excitement in his eyes. He headed straight for the Witchcraft Testing Ground...

Author's Note: I'm trash. I dragged this out until 11 PM to post again, I should slap myself for saying I'd post at 4 or 5. I just deleted all my shows. For real!
