Chapter 1124: Invitation to Empyrean Oshenra’s Palace
Chapter 1124: Invitation to Empyrean Oshenra’s Palace
Although Empyrean Oshenra’s voice was gentle and light, it carried an imperishable authority and persistence, allowing it to traverse millions of kilometers in the void.
Meanwhile, several dozen dots of starlight approached from the distant domains, each possessing the aura of a True God-level True Divinity. They were simply incomparable to Empyrean’s Oshenra.
As such, when Empyrean Oshenra issued her warning, the True God-level Sea Gods didn’t dare to continue their advancement. They kept a safe distance away from her cosmic form, stuck between a hard rock, unable to advance or retreat.
Despite each True God-level Sea God being an existence of unfathomable authority and power in the eyes of lower beings, they were nothing before an Empyrean God.
It only took one glare from Empyrean Oshenra to terrify them to their very core.
Time seemingly slowed for these True God-level Sea Gods; a brief moment felt like an eternity. They felt trapped and unbearable, yet incapable of escaping the situation, not even daring to muster the courage to try.
An Empyrean’s will couldn’t be defied, but when two of them conflicted, those below them could only suffer in silence.
After a short period of silence, a deep sigh echoed from the Fishmen Domain, carrying an inviolable aura of authority and power that didn’t seem inferior to Empyrean Oshenra’s.
"Oceanheart, a Prospective Sage benefits the entire Holy Land. Everyone shares the responsibility of nurturing and protecting such a peerless talent. Do you think it’s appropriate to monopolize such a talent for yourself?" an Empyrean God-level Sea God spoke.
Empyrean Oshenra snorted, causing the True God-level Sea Gods to tremble.
"Indeed, everyone shares the responsibility of nurturing and protecting talents," Empyrean Oshenra calmly acknowledged before saying, "However, everyone has their own area of jurisdiction, and the Mermen Domain falls under mine."
"Since the peerless talent has chosen to stay in my domain, the responsibility of ensuring his safety is naturally up to me. It’s not the Fishmen Domain’s turn to interfere in the Mermen Domain’s matters."
"If this peerless talent wishes to leave for another domain of his own free will, I would not use dishonest means to keep him, Wavebreaker," Empyrean Oshenra coolly stated.
Although Empyrean Oshenra feared that the other sea races would try to harm Vaan for their own benefit, such a sensitive topic couldn’t be mention without any basis or evidence.
After all, they were all part of the Myriad Sea God Palace.
They still needed to maintain harmony among the myriad sea races and shouldn’t make things look too ugly. De-escalation was better than escalation.
A civil war benefited no one.
"Even if this Prospective Sage wishes to stay in your domain, you still need to give each of us a chance to invite him to our domains, Oceanheart," Empyrean Wavebreaker frowned with an unfriendly tone and exerted an invisible pressure outward.
"Naturally, such a chance will come, but not now," Empyrean Oshenra decided resolutely before saying, "The emergence of a Prospective Sage has disrupted the stability of this Empyrean’s domain. It remains to be seen whether this talent is a Prospective Sage or a phony." 𝐫₳ΝΟВЁS
"This Empyrean needs time to confirm the authenticity of this Prospective Sage and restore order to the domain. Once everything is resolved, this Empyrean will naturally re-open the domain to visitors."
"However, for the stability and order of the domain, none at the True Divinity level is permitted to enter when the time comes. This is my bottom line," Empyrean Oshenra stated firmly.
"...Fine," Empyrean Wavebreaker ultimately agreed after a long silence.
Although Empyrean Wavebreaker did not like such an arrangement, he had no choice but to agree. Empyrean Oceanheart had set her conditions clearly and would not change her mind under any pressure.
If Empyrean Wavebreaker tried to use forceful means, it could spark a civil war, which he was unwilling to see.
After all, while the Mermen Domain only had Empyrean Oceanheart as its sole Empyrean God, incomparable to the Fishmen Domain’s three Empyrean Gods, it had connections to a Pure Human Holy Land.
Moreover, this Pure Human Holy Land wasn’t inferior to the Myriad Sea God Palace, even surpassing it in some areas.
As such, Empyrean Wavebreaker could only stomach this loss.
"Everyone, return!"
Empyrean Wavebreaker issued his command to the True God-level Sea Gods on the periphery of the Mermen Domain.
After the True Divinity-level crowd dispersed, Empyrean Oshenra’s cosmic form scattered into starlight, returning to the Mermen Domain. In her absence, the faint white hue of an absolute barrier covered the domain, preventing all entries and exits.
...
Meanwhile, everyone in Mermaid’s Grotto of Whispering Pearl City was not aware of the astonishing confrontation that took place outside of the domain. In fact, only those who stayed near the border were able to learn some information about it.
"Unfortunately, my knowledge is still lacking; I do not have heaven-rank versions for all top ten merfolk mana cultivation techniques. Currently, I only have the [Eternal Water Genesis Sutra] and the [Endless Ocean Vortex Canon]," Vaan said.
"These two mana cultivation techniques are the heaven-rank versions of the [Divine Cleansing Spring Art] and the [Divine Whirlpool Essence Method], respectively. That said, there’s no need to prioritize these two mana cultivation techniques if your practiced art is different."
"Given enough time and accumulation of knowledge, I will create the remaining the remaining heaven-rank mana cultivation techniques. That is my promise to you," Vaan assured.
Although Vaan’s bold claim was hard to believe when his existing heaven-rank mana cultivation techniques had yet to be verified, countless disciples still cheered with surging vigor.
After all, given the astonishing effects of his lectures, he was already considered a qualified Prospective Sage.
Even if the difference between a Prospective Sage and a True Sage was akin to heaven and earth, at the very least, Vaan was still young, and his future possessed boundless potential; he could become a True Sage.
Swoosh!
Six different auras of True Divinities suddenly descended, causing everyone to feel an unprecedented level of pressure. Although these mighty auras didn’t specifically target them, they still instill endless dread and unease.
Six True God-level Sea Gods had suddenly arrived at the scene, surrounding Vaan in a protective formation. Evidently, they weren’t there to capture him but to escort.
"Sir Vaan, Empyrean Oceanheart has extended you an invitation to her palace. Would you like us to escort you there now?" A True God-level Sea Goddess politely inquired, showing her utmost respect.
Countless disciples were immediately awed by this scene. To receive such respect from True Divinities would be an endless honor, enough to make them proud for a lifetime.
How many beings below True Divinity could enjoy such a treatment?
Nevertheless, Vaan, as a Prospective Sage, deserved this much respect from True Divinities. The teacher of countless Divine Beings was of a respectable status.
Moreover, his recognized status as a Prospective Sage was only temporary.
Once his heaven-rank mana cultivation techniques were verified and he assisted at least one disciple or more to achieve True Divinity, he would become a certified True Sage, the teacher of True Divinities!
Such an exalted status even surpassed ordinary True God-level True Divinities!
Of course, Vaan hasn’t yet attained such an exalted status. However, Empyrean Oshenra ordered the six True God-level Sea Gods to receive him with utmost respect.
How dare they be negligent when it was Empyrean Oshenra’s direct orders?
