Chapter 1120: The Highly-Anticipated Second Lecture

Chapter 1120: The Highly-Anticipated Second Lecture

After the Mana Vortex underwent a qualitative transformation due to the improved circulation of the [Everlasting Cosmos Revolving Sutra], Vaan felt like it wasn’t much different from a black hole, at least in appearance.

Compared to a true black hole in the void, his Mana Vortex was considered very flat and linear in its disk-like rotation. On the other hand, a black hole was spherical and omnidirectional in its pulling force.

Of course, the biggest difference between a black hole and Vaan’s Mana Vortex was their very nature. The former possessed gravitational power while the latter contained centrifugal force.

Gravitational force drew matter in while centrifugal force pushed it out; the two were not the same.

However, saying the two had no relationship was also incorrect.

The delicate balance between the two forces would create an orbit, allowing an object to revolve around another without crashing into it or flying off.

That said, Vaan could tell that his Mana Vortex’s centrifugal force was quite different. After all, it was drawing in mana instead of pushing it out. As such, he had to revisit the relation between gravity and centrifugal force.

For example, it was common sense that gravity kept people grounded on a planet.

However, if gravity were replaced with centrifugal force, then how would the planet keep everyone grounded, given that the planetary spin would supposedly fling everyone off?

Naturally, that would be true if the planet remained in motion.

But if the planet were stilled and space revolved around it instead, wouldn’t centrifugal force act on it, keeping people grounded to the earth as well?

In a sense, it should feel like being suppressed by the sky.

Of course, reality didn’t work like that.

However, the Mana Vortex was neither a planet nor a black hole. It was a composition of mana, whose very essence had the potential to defy the fabric of reality once stimulated with the will of divine beings.

Even so, it was also undeniable that the Mana Vortex was becoming increasingly similar to a black hole.

After all, the Mana Vortex also possessed its own gravitational force due to its accumulating mass of mana. It just wasn’t centered like a black hole.

However, with a continuous stream of mana flowing into a single point within the central emptiness, the gravitational force would become centralized, though it was still unclear whether it would form a singularity of infinite density or a unique world.

On another note, having reached the Divine Emperor level, Vaan had a solid grasp of his newfound, materialized Emperor’s Aura.

Moreover, thanks to the specific nature of his Mana Vortex, he could control the direction of gravitational and centrifugal forces, allowing him to deploy a much more powerful domain of suppression.

Alas, he had not learned any Divine Aura Arts to utilize his Emperor’s Aura to its fullest potential. Even so, he believed that even the most primitive use of domain expansion should be quite frightening. ℞𝔞₦𝐎𝖇Ëš

...

Over the past fifteen days, Vaan had noticed that the crowd in the marketplace had changed.

At first, the crowd was mostly Divine Warriors. Now, it was Divine Lords, with Divine Kings and Divine Emperors lagging not far behind in numbers. Only Divine Knights and Divine Warriors became incredibly few.

Naturally, Vaan knew that most of the Divine Warriors and Divine Knights from the original crowd had their viewing spots bought over by the more powerful newcomers.

Moreover, they weren’t forced into giving up their spots unreasonably. They were simply tempted by the generous compensation offered by those who desired their seats.

Towards these short-sighted simpletons, Vaan felt some pity, knowing they would miss out on a great opportunity.

"Lord Vaan is out! He’s finally out!"

Many Divine Lords beamed with joy and excitement the moment they spotted Vaan exiting his humble tent. Though they weren’t present for his first lecture, they benefited from it through other online sources.

Now that they had gathered in person, they expected the benefits of his second lecture would be even greatly.

Of course, there was also a good number of merfolk gathered who tried to maintain a calm, open-minded attitude, as they were afraid of the saying, "The bigger the expectation, the bigger the disappointment."

Not everyone was hopeful that Vaan’s subsequent lectures would be as effective as the first one.

Nevertheless, the sheer quality and quantity of the crowd gathered proved they, at least, had a certain level of expectation and hope.

Vaan scanned the massive crowd and wasn’t surprised to find it mostly comprised of merfolks. After all, even if other seafolks had wanted to join, they couldn’t have arrived in time to secure a good spot compared to merfolk.

"As promised, I will conduct another lecture now," Vaan stated, followed by a round of rowdy cheers, which shook the sea region.

"Last time, I talked about the [Divine Oceanheart Art] and had pretty much covered its essential knowledge. As such, this time, the topic will be about the [Divine Cleansing Spring Art]."

Once the second lecture’s topic was announced, it did not receive the same level of elation as everyone had expected. Instead, it was faced with murmurs of doubt and questioning.

After all, even though the [Divine Cleansing Spring Art] was ranked seventh overall among the top ten merfolk mana cultivation techniques, it was actually ranked last in terms of offensive capabilities.

Vaan noted everyone’s reaction to the topic and didn’t feel surprised.

It was to be expected, considering most merfolk looked down on it. Only a minority of merfolks practiced the [Divine Cleansing Spring Art] because they disliked the violence and injuries it caused.

"Does everyone think the [Divine Cleansing Spring Art] is weak and inferior to other mana cultivation techniques?" Vaan calmly smiled, stunning everyone with his words of confidence.

"Is that not the case?" Many disciples thought.

"Well, I am here to tell you that the [Divine Cleansing Spring Art] is not, in any way, inferior to the other top mana cultivation techniques. Those who think otherwise simply have limited views or do not use it correctly," Vaan claimed, causing an uproar.

However, he ignored the crowd’s doubts and calmly continued, "In fact, the potential and value of [Divine Cleansing Spring Art] could even surpass the top nine mana cultivation techniques!"

"Why is that the case? Well then, let us delve into the matter..."
