Chapter 223 - Shouldn't Have Looked
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
With how long she had been delaying it, Emilia was of course determined to give her older sister a 'perfect' date. The problem, however, was that there was no secret formula in her memory that would allow her to come up with a surefire 'perfect' date.
Of course, Emilia was well aware of the fact that what worked for one may not work for another, and if she wanted to do it right, she would have to figure out what would work for Sam the best.
Cynthia wasn't of much help, as she knew just as much about the older girl as Emilia herself, and her attitude regarding the whole thing was uncaring at best. "I'm sure that sis-con will already be jumping for joy the moment you show up, so what's the point of putting in any more effort?"
Emilia didn't agree with such an argument, as she believed that just because someone was willing to be lenient in her heart, didn't give their partner the right to be uncaring. If anything, they should treasure the other person even more.
Thankfully, she had the help of someone who had stayed by Samantha's side for a very long time, and was also willing to sell her out in exchange for delaying her own date by another few days.
She was talking about Noelle, of course.
Although the information she got was in line with what she already had in mind, Emilia couldn't say that it didn't help at all. If nothing else, getting a confirmation put her mind at ease, and allowed her to go all in with her preparations.
"Is the venue ready, by the way?"
Noelle nodded. "Of course, I've made sure that your name wasn't down officially, though."
"I'd expect no less from Noelle." Emilia chuckled as she sifted through the clothing. 'Let's see… Sam's choice for me would be something that is both sexy yet innocent...'
Of course, the selection here had already been heavily curated according to the descriptions given by Emilia before, and it didn't take her long to find something suitable.
Noelle watched her curiously as the girl picked out a white tank top and blue shorts before putting them aside, and then chose the simplest pair of white sneakers and socks. "That's it?"
"Yep."
Noelle thought that the girl should wear clothes that would protect her a little better, since keeping her legs so exposed while on a bike was simply asking for scars on those flawless-looking legs.
But in the end, Emilia could decide for herself, and Noelle could only shrug as the girl picked out a sporty bracelet and moved on to the underwear section.
Noelle felt a little sorry for the subordinate that had to actually go and make such embarrassing orders to get these things here, but hey, someone had to do it.
Emilia picked out a pair of sexy laced white panties before putting them aside with a frown. "Doesn't feel right. What kind of style would she prefer?"
Noelle couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Does that even matter? No one will know what you wear inside, anyway."
Emilia scoffed. "Of course it matters. My sister can't be disappointed when she unwraps her present at the end of the date, you know?"
'This girl…' Noelle felt her lips twitch, but decided it really wasn't worth arguing with either of the two sisters, and especially not this one. "Even if it mattered, I wouldn't know her taste."
Emilia waved her hand nonchalantly as she continued looking through the selection. "Hm… I'm thinking I should just go with the pure, plain set, since it will bring out my charm as a little sister. Ah, but maybe the contrast of a super-naughty set would also be good…"
Noelle almost rolled her eyes. 'Just go with something normal… Even if you're crazy enough to expect it, I doubt Sam has to courage to really try something.'
Of course, saying that out loud might make things even worse.
Since she couldn't make up her mind, and time was running out, Emilia suddenly had a bright idea. "You know what… I think I'll go commando!"
Noelle blinked. "Eh? W-What do you mean?"
Emilia giggled. "I'm sure she'll be surprised when she finds out!"
The silver-haired lady could already feel a headache coming. "I really think you should reconsider that. You're going to be out and about in public, you know? What if you end up flashing someone?"
Her primary concern wasn't that Emilia's dignity would be damaged by such a thing — the girl clearly didn't have any — but that she would be the one who would be tasked with cleaning up the mess.
Just thinking about having to go through all the online and offline sources to scour and wipe out the 'evidence' of Emilia's naughty endeavors, Noelle could almost feel her vision turning dark.
Isn't this something that should only be experienced by the managers of celebrities? Why did she have to go through the same?
Emilia seemed to consider her advice for a while, much to Noelle's relief. "Hmm… well, you're kinda right… Ah, whatever. I think this is a good idea, I'll just have to be careful."
Noelle's eyes almost bugged out of her head as she pointed at the girl indignantly. "You're really—!"
And then Emilia started stripping, not listening to her at all.
"HEY! Don't take it off in front of me!"

The moment they dropped Emilia off at her older sister's office, the atmosphere in the car had turned a little awkward. Although they could be considered 'friends' at this point, neither Dixie nor Crystal spoke a single word by the time they reached the restaurant.
The heroine breathed a sigh of relief when the car finally stopped in front of her home. Just as she got out and was about to wave goodbye to Emilia's knight, she realized that the other girl had also exited the vehicle. "Eh? You're not going back?"
The dark-haired girl nodded as she pointed to a man standing by the restaurant door, leisurely making small talk with one of the security personnel. "See that guy? He's one of my mom's personal assistants. If he's here, she's probably in too."
Crystal blinked. "Ah."
"Might as well see what she's up to, no?"
