Sophie Wexler stood by the bed, staring fixedly at Cillian Forrest. An intense battle raged within her.

’How can someone in this world be so shameless! Ugh!’

"It seems you want me to help you." As he spoke, Cillian Forrest started to get up.

"Stop!" Sophie Wexler immediately threw out a hand to stop him. "I’ll do it myself, I’ll do it myself."

In the end, she had to yield to a certain someone’s tyrannical power.

’A wise woman knows when to bend and when to stand firm. No need to show off for a moment’s bravado.’

’I just got caught after trying to run away, so it’s better to be sensible. Better to be sensible.’

Sophie Wexler brainwashed herself. Under Cillian Forrest’s gaze, she slowly lifted the covers.

Her every move was as if someone had hit the slow-motion button at half-speed.

The next second, Cillian Forrest ripped the covers away, his movements incredibly swift and decisive.

"Get in."

Sophie Wexler: "..."

’You’re not even pretending anymore!’

’Can’t you go back to the old Cillian? At least he was a little more subtle.’

But now, he had started to completely unleash his true nature.

Unable to delay any longer, Sophie Wexler had no choice but to get into bed.

The lights in the room had been turned off, and the entire space was instantly plunged into darkness.

The darkness limited her sight, but it infinitely amplified all her other senses.

The rustle of the covers with every movement, the sound of breathing not far from her side, and that incredibly familiar scent.

It was as if all of it formed a barrier, enveloping Sophie Wexler completely, making escape impossible.

In the darkness, Sophie Wexler’s eyes were wide open. She clutched her own blanket, wrapping it tightly around herself.

Then, inch by inch, she began to scoot away. Afraid Cillian Forrest would notice, her movements were incredibly cautious, as if terrified of being found out.

After what felt like an eternity, Sophie Wexler’s careful maneuvering was finally complete.

Any further and she would be at the edge of the bed. A huge gap now separated them, as if they’d drawn a territorial line down the middle of the bed.

Her palms were slightly sweaty from the tension. Feeling that the distance between them was now sufficient, she silently let out a sigh of relief.

But the very next second, a large hand wrapped around her waist over the blanket and swiftly pulled her back.

Sophie Wexler let out a startled cry, "Ah!"

Cillian Forrest, whom Sophie Wexler thought hadn’t noticed, slowly spoke, "You’re too far away."

His hand, still over the blanket, held her close to his side, and the space she had just created was instantly filled.

"Sophie Wexler, do I need to repeat what I just said?"

The words Cillian Forrest had spoken earlier flashed through Sophie Wexler’s mind.

He wouldn’t dissolve the marriage. They would be partners forever. They would lie together, share a bed, and do even more intimate things.

In the darkness, Sophie Wexler’s eyes were wide. "N-No... no need."

She remembered. She remembered it all too well.

"So don’t even think about moving away," Cillian Forrest said, closing his eyes. Each word was deliberate. "Unless, of course, you don’t mind the trouble."

Sophie Wexler felt like she could now automatically translate Cillian’s words.

He was saying that if she didn’t mind the trouble, she could keep scooting away. He would just pull her back every time anyway.

Sophie Wexler: "..."

She lay flat and stopped moving completely.

’All that exhausting effort, and for what? I’m even closer than before.’

’There was at least a little space between us at the beginning. Now, after all my hard work, it’s gone. Completely.’

’I would have been better off not moving at all.’

"Um, I won’t move anymore," Sophie Wexler tried to negotiate with the man. "Can you let go of me first?"

’He can’t just keep holding me like this, even if it’s over the blanket.’

But Cillian Forrest’s presence was just too overwhelming, especially his hands. She couldn’t ignore them.

His powerful hands were wrapped tightly around her waist, leaving her no room to maneuver.

"Really, I promise I won’t move around."

After she spoke, the room was silent for a few seconds. Just as Sophie Wexler thought Cillian Forrest had agreed to let go, a voice broke the silence.

"No."

Sophie Wexler: "."

’I should have expected this outcome. After all, judging by everything that happened today, once Cillian Forrest decides on something, he’s dead set on seeing it through.’

"But, I’ve never slept with anyone before," Sophie Wexler tried to struggle one last time. "I can’t fall asleep like this."

"Then you’d better get used to it," Cillian Forrest’s voice replied coolly. "There will be many more days like this in the future."

Sophie Wexler: "..."

In the darkness, she turned her head and shot a fierce glare at Cillian Forrest, dealing exactly zero points of damage.

’What else can I do if I can’t fight back? I can only accept it.’

But the presence of another person sleeping beside her was just too strong, and this person was Cillian Forrest, of all people.

She couldn’t ignore it: the dip in the mattress beside her, the man’s hands around her waist, his breath tickling her ear—every single detail was a reminder of her current situation.

Sophie Wexler couldn’t fall asleep at all. In the darkness, her eyes were wide open, staring at the ceiling she couldn’t see.

She let out a soft sigh.

The events of the day flashed through her mind like a movie.

Before opening that door, she never would have thought it would be Cillian Forrest.

Seeing him again, he admitted his identity, said he wouldn’t kill her, and wouldn’t agree to dissolve the marriage.

Afterward, she was forcibly brought back.

Sophie had actually tried to resist, using the show’s recording schedule as an excuse and saying she had to live in the dorms.

But her resistance was useless. What was it Cillian Forrest said at the time?

"I’ve looked into it. Contestants don’t have to live in the dorms."

The dorms were for people from other planets, to prevent them from having nowhere to stay and being inconvenienced.

People with residences on the Capital Planet were allowed to live off-campus.

Sophie Wexler hadn’t expected him to have looked into even that.

"Besides."

"Besides what?"

"Even if it were mandatory, you could be made an exception."

The meaning behind his words couldn’t have been clearer. Forget being allowed to live off-campus; even if it were required, he could make her the exception.

Sophie Wexler had no doubt he had that kind of power.

So, in the end, she had no choice but to go home with him.

What else could she do? She’d been found. Given Cillian Forrest’s personality, he would never allow her to run away a second time.

At first, Cillian Forrest didn’t even want her to participate in this music show. It was only because Sophie Wexler had argued her case, saying she wouldn’t go back with him if she couldn’t stay in the show, that he’d let her remain.

In reality, she knew she would have been taken back even if she had refused.

Her threat was useless against Cillian Forrest, but he had agreed in the end.

Only then did she agree to come back.

But nobody told her this was the scene that would await her upon her return!

He didn’t leave her any choice at all!

Sophie Wexler seethed with impotent rage.

"Cillian Forrest, you’re a despot. You have no respect for human rights," Sophie Wexler muttered under her breath.

Cillian Forrest didn’t get angry at being cursed out, nor did he even retort. He just lay there quietly, holding her.

Sophie Wexler cursed the man countless times in her heart. As time ticked by, minute by minute, drowsiness gradually crept in, and her thoughts began to slow.

Until finally, she lost consciousness.

In the darkness, the man who had been silent all this time slowly opened his eyes. He looked down at the person beside him and gently traced her brow with his fingertips. "Sophie Wexler, get used to it soon."
