The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter
Chapter 423: Bring Out The Crystals
Aria simply brought her hand over his bleeding palm under his gaze and a bright greenish light immediately enveloped the cut. It felt a little warm, but it was incredibly soothing. It felt completely alien to Adrian, considering the fact that most of the healing he had received until now was painfully agonizing thanks to Hugo’s curse.
But Aria didn’t have that curse. Her healing magic was natural, and while it wasn’t artificially boosted by pain, it also didn’t cause any.
Adrian just watched his deep wound completely close up in seconds. He didn’t feel any pain at all. He just felt a comforting warmth around the area and a slight tingle, but other than that, there was nothing.
Seeing how effective Aria’s initial healing was, Adrian decided to push even further.
The two of them headed over to Aria’s room and spent the next whole hour testing how potent her spells really were. By the time they were done, Adrian looked down at his own arm in awe.
He had basically pierced his own fingers deep into his flesh and pulled chunks of his own flesh out just to test the limits. It was something that needed more of his mental strength compared to physical strength and Aria had basically healed the whole thing back to normal in seconds. But what shocked Adrian was the fact that she didn’t flinch even once no matter how far he went with the self harm. A few questions emerged in his head but he pushed them down almost immediately.
Every single time she started the healing, he carefully monitored what he felt.
The first thing he felt was a distinct numbness. The sheer agony was basically reduced to zero instantly. Then there was a soothing, warm sensation that basically calmed his nerves down. After that, the actual healing process began.
And it wasn’t painful at all and none of the things she did actually hurt him.
Compared to Hugo, this was miraculous. It was almost like she had the exact same holy healing power as Gabriel.
Adrian slowly looked at her.
"Where did you learn this spell?"
Aria just blinked twice.
"Papa, I saw a few spells from the spellbooks that you gave me. I just experimented a little, and I am using four to five small spells together to get to this level."
Adrian nodded. "Can you explain how the whole thing works so even I can use it?"
Aria thought about it for a while. "Okay."
She intentionally started explaining it in such a highly theoretical and convoluted way that it made no sense to Adrian who was used to using a bunch of simple spells in his own creative way. It was almost like she was telling him to ’feel’ how it works, when he didn’t even know what he was supposed to be feeling in the first place.
He felt like an untalented pleb trying to learn something from the view of a talented one. It was similar to a person having hands telling a person with no arms to grab a stick with their hands.
Adrian didn’t know if she was being intentionally confusing or whether she was just a terrible teacher. Eventually, he just gave up on learning it.
Seeing him look so dejected, Aria couldn’t help but apologize mentally.
’I am sorry, Papa. But there is no way I can explain how magic at a completely different tier works when you are just a fourth circle mage.’ She thought as she watched him sigh.
’The only reason I know how this works is because I used to be a ninth circle mage. You will need to unlock a much higher density of mana, and along with that, a brand new sense for mana to be able to recreate whatever I just did. Unless you hit the seventh circle, there is no way you can learn this. Even your draconic mana veins won’t be of much help. All they do is give you a better mana output, not the new sense.’
But of course, she did not say any of that out loud.
Adrian just spent the rest of the time playing with her. He spent the next few hours keeping her company until she eventually got bored and sleepy.
Once she was asleep, Adrian left the room.
He used his Dungeon Door ability basically like a massive teleportation gate that the other high nobles used. He met up with Draven and casually recruited him and his wife for the expedition. He told his two S-rank knights to get their gear ready, and he also informed Octavia and Vance to prepare.
He told everyone that they would have to leave in exactly two days.
With that done, Adrian returned home and decided to spend his last two days focusing on logistics.
He didn’t sleep for an entire night. Instead, he sat down at his study table and wrote out a things and orders that Cassius, Duke Silas, and the others would have to do and follow while he was gone. They were basically highly detailed, long-term development plans for the new empire.
Once he was finally done writing the last scroll, Adrian got up from his chair, stretched his stiff back, and looked out the window.
It was already morning and he was feeling extremely tired, but he still didn’t go to bed.
He looked over at Claire, Serena, and Aria. They were all sleeping soundly on the large, oversized bed that he had conjured last night. They were sleeping really peacefully, and they looked really good together too.
Seeing them all snuggled up together like this just brought a sense of warmth to his chest. Even without his knowledge, a genuine, soft smile appeared on his face.
He turned away and looked at the floor. He extended his consciousness directly into his dungeon using the Dungeon Link.
He looked at the specific dungeon room where all of the crystals were stored and saw millions of mana crystals hoarded inside.
’System, bring out around ten thousand mana crystals.’
