The Villainess Is My Cute Daughter

Chapter 216: Ambushed

Chapter 216: Ambushed

Adrian swept his gaze over the quiet battlefield. Most of his skeleton soldiers were still standing while covered in cracks and missing minor chips of bone, but they were there.

The system screen appeared in front of him while the "ding" sounded in his head multiple times.

[Congratulations! You have tamed the SSS Rank Dungeon.]

[Congratulations! You have completed the Final Quest.]

[Congratulations! Dungeon Link skill has been upgraded.]

[Dungeon Link now connects both the dungeons.]

The massive white floor and the dead bodies disappeared.

Adrian found himself standing inside the dungeon again but there was a slight difference.

He looked around.

The dungeon was pretty much an empty room now.

It looked almost exactly the same as how his own Oresfall dungeon had looked at the very beginning. Just a single, empty room with absolutely nothing inside.

Adrian immediately used dungeon link.

"System, get all the monsters back." he said, "And while they’re coming back, show me the upgrades that this dungeon has. Show me the Dungeon status first."

[Dungeon Status]

Name: Hoarde Spawner Dungeon

Rank: SSS

Dungeon Master: Adrian Sterling

Mana Reserves: 1,389/10,000,000

Current settings: Mob Dungeon

Unlocked Settings: Goblin Unlock, Mana Siphon, Direwolf Unlock, Ogre and Orc Unlock , Mana Network, Dungeon Break, Elf Unlock, Sentient Core Awakening

Adrian then went on to check the descriptions.

Goblin Unlock (Rank E): Grants the dungeon the ability to spawn Goblins.

Mana Siphon (Rank D): A passive ability that absorbs mana directly from the outside atmosphere, allowing the dungeon to steadily increase its mana reserves without needing humans to enter it.

Direwolf Unlock (Rank C): Grants the ability to spawn Direwolves.

Ogre and Orc Unlock (Rank B): Grants the ability to spawn Ogres and Orcs.

Mana Network (Rank A): Establishes a connection between all monsters spawned by the dungeon and the dungeon core, letting them share each other’s mana.

Dungeon Break (Rank S): Allows the Dungeon to send it’s monsters outside.

Elf Unlock (Rank SS): Bypasses standard monster creation to spawn Elves. It allows the dungeon to create highly intelligent, humanoid magic users from an ancient lineage.

Sentient Core Awakening (Rank SSS): Gives the dungeon a primitive consciousness that slowly develops with time.

"Uhhh system, can I reset this dungeon and get different upgrades? Most of these are kinda trash. I don’t need goblins, ogres and all those. I already got Monster Catalogue."

[Negative.]

[Once Upgrades are selected, the choices aren’t reversible. This also applies to the dungeons that are taken over.]

Adrian stared at the screen for a few seconds and then, he smirked.

"Dungeon link connects both dungeons right? Link them and tell me if there’s synergies."

Goblin Unlock, Mana Siphon, Direwolf Unlock, Ogre and Orc Unlock , Mana Network, Dungeon Break, Elf Unlock, Sentient Core Awakening

[Monster Catalogue and Goblin Unlock synergize with each other.]

[The stats, intelligence and mutations for all Goblin monsters will be boosted.]

[Monster Catalogue and Direwolf Unlock synergize with each other.]

[The stats, intelligence and mutations for all Direwolf monsters will be boosted.]

[Monster Catalogue and Ogre and Orc Unlock synergize with each other.]

[The stats, intelligence and mutations for all Ogre and Orc monsters will be boosted.]

[Monster Catalogue and Elf Unlock synergize with each other.]

[The stats and mutations for all Elven monsters will be boosted.]

[System Share and Sentient Core Awakening synergize with each other.]

[Sentient Core can now help manage the users connected to System Share.]

[Dungeon Link connects with both System Share and Sentient Core, achieving triple Synergy.]

[Triple synergy is currently locked. Please upgrade Dungeon of Prosperity to SSS rank to unlock this feature.]

’I don’t really need most of these but I guess I’ll experiment with the monsters later and see how it goes. Though... I can see the last two being pretty useful. I’ll need to upgrade prosperity to SSS first huh?’ he thought after he read through all the notifications.

’I’ll do it later...’

With that, he turned around and walked towards the exit which was basically just a plain wooden door.

Adrian put his hand on the doorknob. But before he could even twist it to actually open the door, he was teleported outside.

And the very first thing he noticed was that there was no flames outside the cave.

The damage was also not there. He could not see the sort of massive damage that he expected to see from fifty magical bombs going off at the exact same time. The trees around the clearing were a little bit singed at the bottom, but other than that, they were completely intact and they actually looked pretty healthy.

He had spent more than nine hours inside the dungeon and most of this was spend on watching his skeletons win the war.

Based on his estimates, if the magical fire was left to do what it was supposed to do with all that time, then most of the trees in this area should have burned down to the ground.

But that did not happen based on what he was looking at right now.

So he instantly went on high alert.

But then, in that exact same second, he felt an intense pain on his side. It hit him right around his stomach area on the side.

And before he could even figure out what hit him, he was already flying. He crashed right into the wall of the cave.

He immediately used Gust to propel himself out of the cave. He tried to continue doing that to gain some distance. He took one step and used gust once again to boost his speed.

And just as he got ready to take the third step, he prepared to open his dungeon portal again.

But just as he was about to place his foot on the ground to shoot himself into the portal, thick vines suddenly shot straight up from the ground and grabbed his leg.

The Gust spell worked. But the grip of the vines was so incredibly strong that he just didn’t move forward at all.

The portal was still hovering right there, but he just couldn’t go in.
