Chapter 252: Chapter 252: Big Cat and Anan 5 (Finale)

On the day of the birth, the delivery room was filled with the mixed scent of wormwood and lemon.

Su An’an gripped Ying Jiuyao’s hand, her knuckles white from the force. Cold sweat soaked the hair at her temples.

"Just a little longer!"

The physician was drenched in sweat, the silver needle in her hand buzzing from the baby’s violent Spiritual Power.

Su An’an held on tightly, cold sweat beading endlessly on her skin.

Every stir from the fetus in her womb unleashed a more violent storm.

She had given birth to three babies, but none of them combined had given her as much trouble as this tiger cub.

Golden tiger stripes flickered beneath her skin, as if they couldn’t find the way out.

"Baby, be good!"

Su An’an stroked her undulating belly and said hoarsely, "Come on out."

"If you dare give your Female Mother any more trouble, I’ll beat you to death."

The Big Cat growled, gnashing his teeth. His claws extended and retracted, wishing he could give the tiger cub a good smack on the butt.

As if hearing its Male Father’s complaint, a ray of Golden Light shot from Su An’an’s belly toward the heavens.

Su An’an groaned in pain, her face growing even paler.

"Anan, hold on!"

Ying Jiuyao knelt on one knee by the bed, his tiger claws clasping her trembling hand.

"You little brat, get out here."

Su An’an couldn’t take it anymore.

The Divine Pattern on her lower back erupted, and a pink glow enveloped the tiger cub in her belly, forcefully pushing it out.

"AWOO."

The baby’s first cry was like a clap of thunder. The sound wave made the window lattice rattle and leaves rustle from the ancient tree outside.

The newborn tiger cub was still covered in the amniotic sac, yet its four paws were already strong enough to scratch the physician’s arm, leaving several bloody marks.

"My goodness!" The old female physician was both shocked and delighted. "This claw strength... He’s nothing like a newborn baby!"

Ying Jiuyao first wiped the cold sweat from Su An’an’s brow before reaching out to take the baby.

The baby suddenly stopped crying, sniffed with its wet little nose, and leaned toward its Male Father on its own.

"Tsk, quite the set of lungs on you," Ying Jiuyao grumbled, giving the baby a little shake. Though his words were dismissive, his tail honestly curled into the shape of a cradle.

Unhappy with being shaken, the baby’s eyes snapped open.

Its golden beast pupils were like the dawn sun, so clear they could reflect a person’s image.

Gasps instantly filled the delivery room.

"Are those... Golden Beast Pupils?"

"The last one to have Golden Pupils was the Mountain God ancestor, a hundred years ago!"

The little one let out a tiny roar and bit down on its Male Father’s fingertip. Its incomplete baby teeth hurt its own gums, making its eyes water, but it stubbornly refused to let go.

A hint of a smile flashed in Ying Jiuyao’s eyes. He parted the sparse, soft white fur on its belly, and his Gilded Beast Eyes suddenly constricted.

Countless iridescent golden stripes lit up on its stomach.

The patterns were more intricate than any recorded in the clan’s genealogy, flickering with each breath as if alive.

"It’s the complete Mountain God’s Gold-stripe pattern!"

An elder who had rushed over slammed his staff on the ground with a THUD. "A hundred years!" he cried, tears streaming down his face. "A pure-blooded Golden-striped Tiger Cub has finally appeared again!"

Ying Jiuyao gently stroked the baby’s belly, his hand trembling uncontrollably.

Even he only possessed gilded stripes.

This baby’s bloodline was purer than his own.

"AWOO! AWOO!"

The tiger cub raised its head and let out a clear cry as golden Spiritual Power radiated outwards in waves.

"Level 4S Spiritual Power right after birth!"

The old female physician’s voice trembled. "This baby is destined to surpass Lord Jiuyao!"

Outside the hall, young warriors revealed their forms and let out long howls, while females carrying their own babies pushed forward with red-rimmed eyes.

"Let us also share in the good fortune of the Golden-striped Tiger Cub!"

Ying Jiuyao carried the tiger cub to the doorway.

The little guy’s golden pupils were wide, but his tail wrapped around his Male Father’s wrist, and he pressed his paw pad onto the tip of his father’s nose with a PAT.

"Yin Xiao."

Ying Jiuyao’s tiger claw stroked the brilliant golden stripes on its belly, his voice echoing throughout the clan. "A brave warrior’s name, bestowed by the Mountain God."

The tiger cub let out a milky burp, spitting out a sparkling golden bubble of Spiritual Power that burst on its Male Father’s face with a POP.

Deep within the Holy Mountain, the Mountain God’s Bell, silent for a hundred years, rang of its own accord.

After her month of postpartum confinement, Su An’an looked at the utter mess on the floor and sighed in exasperation.

The newly bought wooden rocking chair had several bite marks gnawed into it.

The cloth tiger doll that Ying Jiuyao had specially made had a hole torn in its stomach, with cotton stuffing scattered everywhere.

"Yin Xiao! You’re tearing up the house again!"

She picked the little guy up by the scruff of his neck, but he just opened his toothless mouth and nudged against her palm.

He made soft, whimpering noises, his little tail wagging proudly.

Ying Jiuyao returned from outside, carrying a string of wild jujubes.

Seeing the mess on the floor, his face suddenly hardened. "Did you forget the rules I taught you yesterday?"

The little one immediately tucked its tail, but when its father wasn’t looking, it bit onto his dangling sash and started pulling him toward the door.

"Come on, time for special training!"

Ying Jiuyao pinched the scruff of the tiger cub’s neck and lifted him up to eye level.

Su An’an swatted Ying Jiuyao’s paw away irritably. "He’s only a month old. What special training?"

"A cub of the White Tiger Clan will become useless if he doesn’t train for three days."

Ying Jiuyao insisted forcefully. The tiger cub sat on the floor, its tail sweeping back and forth as it tilted its head, looking at its Female Mother and Male Father.

Just as the family of three was staring at each other, a voice as cold as ice and snow came from the doorway. "Anan, I’m here to pick you up."

Lan Cangming stood at the door, his ice-blue hair shimmering with a cold light in the sun.

He glanced at the tiger cub in Ying Jiuyao’s arms, his expression calm, but his mind was racing with thoughts.

’This little tiger cub is quite spirited. I wonder what my and Anan’s mermaid baby would be like?’

Ying Jiuyao held the tiger cub with one arm and gripped Su An’an’s sleeve with his other hand, his tail smacking the ground in irritation.

The little tiger cub squirmed in his arms, its moist golden eyes fixed on its mother.

Its claws hooked onto a strand of her hair and wouldn’t let go, and a low whimper rumbled in its throat.

"Your Female Mother is leaving. Be a good boy and listen to your Male Father at home."

Su An’an squeezed the baby’s paw pads, then looked at Ying Jiuyao.

"If he tears up the house, just let him! Don’t be too strict with the baby."

"I know!"

Ying Jiuyao’s fluffy tiger ears twitched, and his voice was muffled. "I’ll send you a message every day."

Before Su An’an could reply, Lan Cangming flatly refused. "No. The time ahead belongs to me and Anan."

Ying Jiuyao’s tiger tail suddenly went rigid, but he could only nod in unwilling agreement. "Hmph!"

"Take good care of Yin Xiao!"

Su An’an patted Ying Jiuyao’s arm, then nuzzled the tiger cub’s fluffy head.

The little tiger cub let out a soft roar, its tail wrapping tightly around her wrist, clearly not wanting to let her go.

Lan Cangming stood a short distance away, his ear fins flexing slightly, clearly growing impatient.

"Let’s go."

Su An’an gave the cub’s ears one last rub and turned to walk toward Lan Cangming.

Ying Jiuyao stared at her back and suddenly called out, "Anan."

She turned back.

The little tiger cub suddenly struggled free from Ying Jiuyao’s arms, landed on the floor with a THUMP, and stumbled a few steps after her.

Ying Jiuyao scooped the tiger cub up and held him tightly in his arms.

The little one cried out anxiously, its four paws flailing in the air, its golden eyes filled with reluctance as it looked at Su An’an.

"Anan, take care of yourself."

After saying this, Ying Jiuyao steeled his heart and walked toward the White Tiger Holy Land, still holding the cub.

"Let’s go!"

Lan Cangming put an arm around Su An’an, gently but firmly guiding her onto the Mermaid Battleship.

The time for him and Anan to be alone was next, and not a single second could be wasted.
