The Villainess Cannot Escape — Five Beast Husbands Chase Her Madly
Chapter 227: Birth of the Cubs
Chapter 227: Chapter 227: Birth of the Cubs
Just as Louis was about to break through the final barrier.
A silver-white feline shadow flashed like lightning, blocking his path. ℯℯ𝘭.
The Ragdoll cat’s sharp claws glinted coldly. Her turquoise cat-like eyes burned with fury, and every strand of her raised fur bristled with killing intent.
Louis’s pupils contracted abruptly. His massive tail froze mid-air.
"Alita, what are you doing here? Where is your Personal Guard?"
He remembered the Mutant Beasts luring those soldiers to the South Gate.
Alita’s fur stood on end with rage, making her look a size larger than before. She swiped her claws at his face.
"I don’t need help to kill you!"
Her claws scraped violently against Louis’s Scale Armor, sending sparks flying.
She lowered her body, a threatening growl rumbling in her throat. "You escaped death row last time. This time, I’ll skin you alive!"
The scales all over Louis’s body flared out with a CLACK. His violet-black pupils constricted violently.
"You really don’t remember me?"
"Don’t you remember the vows we made when we married?"
His voice was so hoarse it was nearly broken.
Beneath his Scale Armor, old wounds trembled and began to seep beads of blood.
"A traitor who betrayed his Female Master and the Empire dares to speak of vows?"
Alita’s claws dug into the gaps in his Scale Armor, and fresh blood dripped from their tips.
"You should have expected this day would come when you framed Anan!"
The muscles under Louis’s Scale Armor convulsed as he struggled.
Alita’s indifferent expression was like a sharp sword piercing his heart, more painful than the wounds from her claws.
A memory from his youth flashed before his eyes: Alita, with her hair in two pigtails, standing on her tiptoes to touch his beast horns.
"Silly, of course you’re the only one I’ll ever marry!"
"I was wrong!"
He suddenly roared, slamming a massive claw into the ground and forcing Alita back half a step with the shockwave.
"But you have to go! This isn’t a fight you can interfere in!"
Alita scoffed and leaped onto his back, her claws digging into the gaps between his scales.
"Either you die or I do! This is what you owe me!"
Louis let out a pained roar, but he couldn’t bring himself to harm her with his Bone Spikes. He could only let the Ragdoll cat tear at his back.
A poisonous mist seeped from between his fangs, but he deliberately directed it away from her.
Suddenly, Lord Red’s cold laughter echoed from all corners of the battlefield.
"Useless fool. You can’t even bring yourself to kill a cat?"
He flicked his finger.
The snake-like pattern on Louis’s neck suddenly lit up. The control of the Destiny Snake forced a heart-wrenching scream from him!
His Bone Spikes rose uncontrollably, their cold gleam aimed straight for Alita’s heart.
"No!"
At the last possible second, Louis violently twisted his body, and the Bone Spikes plunged into his own abdomen with a SQUELCH!
Blood splattered onto Alita’s white fur.
He staggered to his knees as his violet-black scales sloughed off like an avalanche, revealing one half of his originally handsome face.
He collapsed into a pool of his own blood. His beastly eyes gradually lost focus, but he still stared intently at her.
"Do you still remember?"
His voice was as light as the wind. "When we were children, you always said my blond hair was like sunshine."
Alita watched him coolly, as if he were a complete stranger.
Blood gushed from the corner of his mouth. Suddenly, black flames of self-immolation ignited at his fingertips.
"So, it turns out... for the sake of an Illusion, I betrayed the one person who was truly good to me!"
The black flames devoured his broken body.
His eyes, fixed on Alita, swirled with a lifetime of regret.
His final words, as light as a sigh, scattered in the wind.
"Alita... I’m sorry..."
Alita froze on the spot, the raging black flames reflected in her turquoise cat-like eyes.
A single tear fell without warning, splashing into the pool of blood.
She quickly raised a hand to wipe it away, her voice as cold as ice.
"Strange. The wind must have blown some sand in my eye."
Lord Red’s furious roar made the city walls tremble. "Idiot!"
He waved his hand violently. "Blood Erosion Beasts, flatten that building!"
The Mutated Beast Group surged toward the delivery room like a black tide.
The remnants of the Gang Vine crunched under their hooves.
Just as Alita was about to turn back to defend it, two wails suddenly pierced the sky!
The clear cries of the infants were like golden blades.
Wherever they passed, the crimson threads snapped one by one.
The feeling of suffocation that had gripped the Five Great Beast Husbands instantly vanished.
Seville’s Golden Wings erupted with a divine light, more brilliant than ever before.
"How is this possible?"
Lord Red shot up from his throne. "How could the Destiny Snake be broken?!"
When the second wave of infant cries hit.
Lord Red’s Evil Ghost Mask cracked with a CRACK and fell apart, revealing a face that would make Su An’an’s blood run cold.
It was none other than the scumbag who had deceived the Eldest Imperial Sister and absconded with the Royal Family’s secret treasures all those years ago!
"Su An’an!"
His crimson pupils constricted, and the patterns on his Bone Ring cracked inch by inch.
"You’ve disrupted the threads of fate time and again. Did you really think no one could deal with you?"
In the shadows, he growled into the empty air.
"It seems it’s your turn to take the stage."
As soon as he spoke, the hem of a red dress drifted into view from the darkness behind the throne.
A woman’s amused voice drifted over. Her tone was remarkably similar to Su An’an’s, but far colder:
"My dear little sister, are we finally going to meet?"
...
On the delivery bed, an exhausted Su An’an held the two small cubs.
The older brother had inherited Seville’s silver-purple hair.
His little hand clutched his mother’s fingertip as he let out a soft, milky whimper.
The Phosphorus Powder on the younger sister’s butterfly wings shimmered with a pink-gold halo in the sunlight as she unconsciously nuzzled her brother’s cheek.
[AHHHH!]
Little Pink’s mechanical arms trembled like a waveform, and its Light Screen was flooded with heart symbols.
[Your Highness! They’re ten times cuter than the cubs in the holographic ads! Especially the little sister’s wings, they’re just too adorable for words!]
Seville’s Golden Wings trembled slightly, a rare sight. His usually calm amber eyes shimmered with unshed tears.
He reached out and gently touched the two small cubs’ cheeks.
"They look like you."
BANG!
The Four Great Beast Husbands kicked the door in and rushed inside. They were covered in blood, but their eyes burned with fervor.
Half of Ying Jiuyao’s tiger ear was missing, but he was the first to rush to the bedside, the blood on his claws not yet dry.
"Anan! Are you okay?"
His claw hovered about an inch above the cubs, his eyes filled with amazement.
"They’re so tiny, aren’t they? Like newly hatched Star Beast Cubs."
Night Abyss’s dragon tail was curled around a blood-soaked copy of the "Divine Fetus Care Guide." "Rule 137: Immediately after the cubs are born, you must..."
He trailed off, the words getting stuck in his throat.
He smacked his forehead in frustration.
"What was I supposed to do? I completely forgot while I was fighting those Mutant Beasts."
Lan Cangming silently swapped the iced fruit juice on the nightstand for warm milk.
Tiny droplets of condensation still clung to the glass baby bottle.
Fei Zhao’s fox tail had already secretly wrapped around the little sister’s tiny foot. The soft touch made his pointed ears twitch in surprise.
Seville spread his Golden Wings, his amber eyes full of impatience. "Go take a shower."
He pointed a grim face at the Four Great Beast Husbands. "You’re filthy and you stink. What if you scare the cubs?"
Ying Jiuyao’s tiger ear twitched. He lowered his head, sniffed his bloodstained claw, and abruptly took half a step back.
"I guess it does smell a little... metallic."
Night Abyss’s dragon tail froze mid-air. Half a piece of a Mutant Beast’s carapace was still stuck between his Black Scales.
He coughed. "Going immediately."
Fei Zhao and Lan Cangming exchanged a glance.
Before they could say another word, Ying Jiuyao was already dragging them away.
The four figures instantly vanished from the doorway.
Three minutes later, the Four Great Beast Husbands charged back into the room, looking completely refreshed and smelling fragrant.
