"Hmm, thanks." She politely thanked him.

The other party was flattered, his face turning red with excitement. He didn’t even dare to look the girl in the eye and quickly ran off to start the car.

Robert’s car was a regular Volkswagen.

He dropped Nathalie Quinlan off at the hotel entrance, rolled down the car window, and waved goodbye to her: "Goddess Q, remember to reach out if you need anything, you have my QQ."

In the hotel lobby, Sadam Vinson was accompanying Amadeus Yancey, waiting for someone as they looked for a restaurant to have dinner.

He coincidentally spotted the scene of the girl getting out of the car at the entrance, and the man with blonde hair and blue eyes enthusiastically calling out.

He twitched the corner of his mouth and instinctively glanced at the young man beside him: "Ahem, Amadeus, um..."

He hadn’t yet come up with anything to divert Amadeus Yancey’s attention.

Amadeus Yancey had already seen the girl getting off at the hotel entrance, as well as the silver Volkswagen that brought her back and the person driving it.

His eyes were deep-set, but he didn’t react too much. With one hand in his pocket, he stepped toward the girl.

"You’re back."

Nathalie Quinlan also said goodbye to Robert and started walking back with a plastic bag in hand.

She happened to bump into the two of them.

She gave Sadam Vinson a surprised look as he grinned at her awkwardly, and she raised her thin eyelids, asking the man: "What’s wrong with him? Is there a spasm in his eyes?"

Sadam Vinson: "..." Go to hell with the spasms.

Amadeus Yancey looked back; Sadam Vinson was already guilty and glanced elsewhere, not daring to look him in the eye.

"Tsk!" He clicked his tongue and answered for Sadam Vinson: "Mrs. Vinson once told me that when he was born, the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck, maybe it’s a post-developmental issue with his cerebellum."

He spoke so earnestly, as if it was actually true!

Sadam Vinson, the person involved, almost believed his nonsense.

Let alone Nathalie Quinlan.

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t think much of it since in her heart, Sadam Vinson wasn’t exactly a bright person, so she gave him a sympathetic look and said, "Oh."

Sadam Vinson, struck by her sympathetic gaze, couldn’t bear to stay a second longer and said to the two of them: "I’ll go check if there’s anything to eat nearby. You two stroll around, I’ll call you when I find a place for dinner."

"Go ahead."

Amadeus Yancey raised his hand, in a rather casual manner.

Sadam Vinson took a deep breath, unable to provoke him, and walked away in frustration.

Nathalie Quinlan also prepared to go upstairs, heading for the elevator: "I’m going to put something away."

"I’ll come with you."

Amadeus Yancey hit the elevator button, noticing the plastic bag she was holding. The contents didn’t seem heavy, floating lightly, he couldn’t tell what it was.

The elevator stopped quickly.

The door opened.

Nathalie Quinlan went in first and pressed the floor button.

She turned back to see Amadeus Yancey following her inside.

She thought for a moment and then lazily explained to him: "I went to the Pharmaceutical Association, the person who just drove me back is Caleb Dax’s apprentice, you’ve met him."

Amadeus Yancey thought for a moment she was going to say something else, but upon hearing this, the corners of his mouth couldn’t help but lift, his mood suddenly brightened: "Hmm, I know, I remember him."

Nathalie Quinlan furrowed her brows and glanced at him, not being dumb. She realized Sadam Vinson had tried hinting something to her, though she never considered he didn’t misunderstand at all.

If he had misunderstood, she could’ve explained.

Since he didn’t, Nathalie Quinlan didn’t quite know what to say.

Amadeus Yancey saw the girl’s lowered crow-black eyelashes and the exquisite face that caught his attention, knowing she was at a loss for words. With a slight upward curve of his thin lips, he casually said: "...Anyway, you’ll be 20 in three months, I’ve waited this long, three months is nothing, I can afford to wait."
