Violetta Hoffman placed the water on the table and glanced at him sideways: "Who was that?"

"I don’t know who it was," Orson Saban responded frankly. "But I know for sure it wasn’t Zevaney Kingsley. If she had this capability, Nathan Garland and her would have made it known to everyone long ago. It’s impossible for them to keep it hidden and not show it."

"...True."

"The explosion you mentioned must be someone else’s doing. I’ll find someone to look into it and let you know when there’s news."

After Orson Saban said this, Violetta Hoffman temporarily stopped bringing it up.

She got up to thank Orson Saban, then turned to leave.

Just as she was about to exit the office, Orson Saban thought of something and suddenly called after her: "Mr. Hoffman, hold on a moment."

Violetta Hoffman turned back, puzzled: "Is there something else?"

Orson Saban hesitated with his words and softly replied: "Could you help me get in touch with Nathalie Quinlan? I can’t reach her."

"?"

"The principal hasn’t returned, and I suspect she knows where the principal is."

Violetta Hoffman readily agreed: "Alright, once I reach her, I’ll have her return your call."

"Okay." Orson Saban relaxed a bit.

"Then, Vice Principal, I’ll be leaving now." Violetta Hoffman waved and made her exit.

As she walked out, she didn’t forget to help Orson Saban by trying to contact Nathalie Quinlan.

However, regardless of whether she called or messaged Nathalie Quinlan, there was no response from the other side.

Violetta Hoffman furrowed her brow, no longer as calm as before, and began to sift through the group chat, preparing to reach out to Nathalie Quinlan through private messages...

Nicholas Fuller’s surgery concluded only the next morning, lasting several hours in total. When the doors of the operating room finally opened again, the sunlight outside had already emerged.

The girl looked tired and was the first to walk out from inside.

"How is it?" Sadam Vinson approached to inquire about Nicholas Fuller’s condition.

Nathalie Quinlan pulled off her surgical gloves and tossed them into the trash, dark circles evident beneath her eyes indicating she hadn’t slept well, but it was clear the surgery was successful: "The leg is saved, there’s no need for amputation."

"That’s good then." Sadam Vinson breathed a sigh of relief, murmuring.

Amadeus Yancey moved in closer, not asking about Nicholas Fuller, only concerned about her: "What about you? Are you alright?"

He initially thought Nathalie Quinlan would say she’s fine, but contrary to his expectation, the girl pressed her cold white fingers against her brow, suppressing an inner agitation, and sincerely replied: "Not too good."

Amadeus Yancey looked at her.

Nathalie Quinlan removed her hand, speaking irritably: "...Headache."

She had been sleepless for yet another full day and night, enduring 24 hours, running around for Nathan Garland, then performing a high-stress surgery on Nicholas Fuller for several hours...

Nathalie Quinlan only felt her mind buzzing, numb all over.

"Tired?" Amadeus Yancey understood her well.

He glanced at Nicholas Fuller being pushed out by the doctors and nurses, then turned to the girl and said: "Anyway, there’s nothing more here with Mr. Fuller. I’ll take you back now; go home and get some rest. Leave this to me. I’ll have Vincent Moore stay here and notify you if anything comes up."

"Okay." Nathalie Quinlan truly couldn’t bear it anymore, considering she was also like half a patient. Thus, she followed in Amadeus Yancey’s steps, briefly informing Sadam Vinson and the others, intending to head back for some rest...

Amadeus Yancey handled the arrangements related to Nicholas Fuller with Vincent Moore, grabbed the car keys, and returned, casually handing the black single shoulder bag back to Nathalie Quinlan: "Someone called you halfway, but your phone was out of battery, so it rang once and turned off."

Nathalie Quinlan walked out of the hospital gate with him, got into the car, set the bag aside, planning to recharge the phone later.

She had just buckled her seatbelt.

Someone knocked on the car window by her side...
