The Unveiling of Secret Queen
Chapter 2383: Amadeus Directly Princess Carries Her
Half an hour later, a black off-road vehicle was the first to arrive at her location.
The car door opened, and a man in a black shirt got out of the car and walked straight towards her. Nathalie Quinlan saw that with every step he took, the expression on his outrageously attractive face became a little uglier. Although he seemed as calm and composed as always on the surface, Nathalie could tell that he was quite angry this time.
"Ms. Quinlan, you, you’re hurt!" Vincent Moore also got out from the back, saw her, and exclaimed in surprise, quickly walking over.
"Stand still!" Amadeus Yancey commanded without turning his head.
Vincent Moore had no choice but to stop in place, standing there anxiously.
Nathalie’s shoulder still had a bullet that hadn’t been removed. The longer it stayed, the worse the pain became. She hadn’t expected Amadeus Yancey to be the first to arrive. Pulling down her hat brim with her left hand, she stood straight with pursed lips: "I can go back and explain to you..."
Amadeus Yancey didn’t move an eyebrow, walked up to her, and bent over to scoop her up directly, walking back without a word.
While instructing Vincent Moore: "Contact the hospital immediately!"
Vincent Moore was also stunned by the scene but, by nature, wasn’t one to indulge in gossip. Upon hearing the order, he immediately went to find a phone to carry out the task.
In the car.
Nathalie Quinlan received Emma Gabehart’s call and lowered her voice to say, "I’m on the way to the hospital, um, someone is here..."
Emma Gabehart probably asked for the hospital’s name.
Nathalie slightly raised her head, initially wanting to ask the man driving, but catching a glimpse of the man’s cold jawline from the corner of her eye, she quietly retracted her line of sight, saying, "I’ll tell you when I arrive."
Who knew Amadeus Yancey heard it, holding the steering wheel with one hand while resting the other hand on the car window, elegantly and casually telling her the name of a hospital.
Nathalie raised an eyebrow at him, then turned her head to repeat the name of the hospital to Emma Gabehart on the phone and hung up.
The atmosphere in the car was quite cold.
Amadeus Yancey was visibly angry; Vincent Moore didn’t dare provoke him, though he wanted to ask Nathalie how things had gone, but didn’t dare speak.
Nathalie didn’t like this atmosphere, so she put down her phone, proactively breaking the frozen mood in the car, looking at the man’s tense jaw: "I, I’m alright. I just went to retrieve something, and I’ve already gotten it back. There was just a slight accident in the process, I carelessly got a small injury, and after a while, it’ll be alright."
The car suddenly halted with a sharp brake.
Amadeus Yancey abruptly looked at her, deep eyes unable to suppress the swirling emotions: "You got shot and you call that a minor injury?"
Vincent Moore was extremely shocked upon hearing that: "What? Ms. Quinlan was shot?!"
He suddenly turned to look at Nathalie Quinlan.
The girl seemed extremely calm; if not for the bloodstain near her right shoulder, it would be hard to imagine that Nathalie was so seriously injured.
Indeed, the girl wasn’t particularly concerned, lowering her eyes and saying, "They only hit my shoulder, far away from my heart."
"What if that person hit your heart at the time?" Amadeus Yancey was rarely frightened, or rather, he had never been frightened in his life. From childhood to adulthood, everything had been under his control; he rarely derailed and rarely lost control.
But today, he lost control.
Had Lynn Kingsley not told him Nathalie Quinlan was fine and she had already left?
He might have taken people to fight with the Kingsleys Family.
To hell with Inderia, to hell with the Kingsleys Family, he almost wanted to destroy this world!
Luckily...
She was fine.
Nathalie saw his clenched hands and the bulging veins on the back of his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. She was silent for a moment, not knowing how to explain: "That thing is very important to me."
