As Xi Yue spoke, he pulled a wooden plank-like object from his clothes and gently placed it in front of Gu Su.

The plank wasn’t large—about a palm’s width and a foot long. Its edges were worn smooth, and its surface had a faint, oily sheen, as if it had been handled many times.

Fine patterns were carved into the wood. A closer look revealed lines of crooked, scrawled words and a few simple lines that outlined the shape of a notice board.

Gu Su took it. It was heavy, feeling less like wood and more like a sheet of pressed Metal.

[Bounty Board Design Blueprint (White): A construction blueprint for a bounty board. After learning, you can build it in the Mobile City by consuming the corresponding materials (single-use).]

[Bounty Board (White): Use 10 units of Wood and 4 units of Stone to build a bounty board in a designated location (occupies a 1x1 meter area).

Once built, nearby information can be placed inside to generate bounty warrants and bounty missions. Completing missions will yield corresponding rewards (reward quality will not exceed White).]

Gu Su looked up, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "This is...?"

Xi Yue waved his hand, wearing an expression that said Gu Su had gotten a huge bargain. "As you can see, this is another way to organize information.

However, it’s a construction blueprint, so you need your own territory to use it.

None of us have our own territory. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have given it to you for a steal."

His words were blunt, but Gu Su could hear the underlying meaning. He was trying to help.

Xi Yue didn’t want Gu Su to feel indebted, so he’d deliberately made it sound as if he was just casually tossing it over because he had no use for it.

Gu Su understood, but he didn’t point it out. He simply smiled at Xi Yue and weighed the plank in his hand.

"Thanks, then."

With that, he turned and walked toward the Doomsday Tavern.

The tavern was nestled into a room on the right side of the enclosure wall’s ground floor. Several connected spaces added up to twenty-five square meters—not large, but the storefront was presentable.

Outside the door was a narrow corridor built from sheet metal and wooden planks, which would CREAK underfoot. Gu Su stopped at the end of the corridor, selected an outward-facing wall, and forcefully plunged the plank into the ground at its base.

The instant the plank sank into the dirt, the entire base of the wall stirred.

Blood-red Corroding Mycelium gushed from the cracks at the base of the wall in great clumps, as if something suppressed underground for ages had finally found an escape route.

It swarmed over the wooden plank, crawling upward and wrapping it into a small, blood-red cocoon.

The ground began to tremble. A massive amount of blood-red Corroding Mycelium erupted from beneath the Graveyard Demon’s soil, converging on the wall like nimble tentacles.

At the same time, fragments of Wood and shards of Stone were drawn by the mycelium from a nearby storage area. They piled up neatly at the base of the wall, exuding the faint scents of wood and stone.

Almost as soon as the materials had gathered, Bone Masonry rushed over with several Skeleton artisans.

He hurried from the other side of the enclosure wall with his Skeleton laborers, hammers and chisels hanging from his waist and CLANGING as he walked.

He crouched beside the clump of blood-red mycelium and peeled back the outer layer, revealing the plank and a frame that was already beginning to solidify inside.

His hands moved quickly, stuffing Wood into the frame, hammering Stone into the gaps, flattening warped corners with his hammer, and scraping away excess splinters with his chisel.

The mycelium slowly contracted under his hands, securing the materials firmly to the wall. By the time the mycelium had fully receded, a bounty board was solidly embedded in its place.

The bounty board was not large, about a square meter, perfectly filling the section of wall at the end of the corridor.

Simple patterns were carved above the main board, resembling intertwined vines and bones. While not exquisite, they added a certain distinctiveness.

A small wooden post was nailed to each side of the board. A thick, dark-red hemp rope was tied between their tops, from which hung a few dried Blood Waterflea leaves as decoration.

A small stone recess was set below the board, perfectly sized for holding books or documents. The overall design was simple and practical, a perfect match for the Graveyard Demon’s aesthetic.

Bone Masonry took a step back, looked his work up and down, and suddenly broke into a wide grin.

The smile on his Skeleton face wasn’t pretty, but Gu Su could see he was genuinely pleased.

"My Lord, your Luck is good," Bone Masonry said, pointing to a line of small text at the very top of the board. "This bounty board reached Green Quality. It can now post one more bounty than a White one, and the reward quality can go up to Green."

Gu Su’s eyes lit up. He examined the bounty board closely and, sure enough, noticed a faint green glimmer shimmering around the panel.

’Looks like he’s right. I guess my Luck really is pretty good.’

Then, Gu Su reached a hand back.

Bone Ash, who had just returned, immediately handed Gu Su several books he had dug up from a nearby manor: a book of bedtime stories, a collection of nursery rhymes, and a few journals of unknown authorship.

Some had already been distributed to Xi Yue and the others, who were currently using them to look for information on local anomalies.

The books given to Gu Su were either higher-quality copies or duplicates; everything had been prepared in advance.

He pulled the top one from the stack and handed it to Gu Su.

It was another copy of the bedtime storybook, only noticeably thinner. It was clear that the one Gu Su had read earlier was the deluxe edition, while this was the abridged version.

Gu Su placed the book of bedtime stories on the stone pedestal in front of the bounty board.

The pedestal was only knee-high, built from a few pieces of rubble, but its surface was polished reasonably flat.

As he set the book down, the empty panel of the board flashed. It wasn’t light, but more like something flowing beneath the wood grain.

In the next moment, the book of bedtime stories flipped open on its own. Its pages turned rapidly as faint wisps of white light floated out, transforming into clear lines of text that slowly imprinted themselves onto the board, automatically generating several bounty missions.

[Bounty Mission: Hope in the Fields]

[Mission Description: Scarecrows are the hope of the fields, and also the final rage of the fields!]

[Mission Requirements: Kill 50 Scarecrows (0/50), obtain 20 blood-soaked straws (0/20)]

[Mission Rewards: 300 Gold Coins, 500 Yin Qi, 300 Team Experience, 1 random Equipment Forging Blueprint (White).]

[Explanation 1: Kill the scarecrows and bring back their straw to prove your deeds.]

...

There were five bounty missions in total. Gu Su scanned them—all were related to the anomalies in the vicinity.

However, they were all simple kill-count quests.

No more powerful bounties had appeared.

It was clear his Luck wasn’t always going to be that good.
