Aboard the Graveyard Demon at the rear, Gu Su listened to the real-time battlefield reports from Crow’s Caw.

The tension in Gu Su’s brow eased with every report from Crow’s Caw.

When he heard that all enemies had been wiped out, he leaned against the rampart and let out a long breath of relief.

’All that matters is that they’re dead.’

It wasn’t a clean fight, and the losses were significant, but the outcome was a good one.

There were enough Lizardman corpses to form a small mountain—more than enough to replenish his lost forces. The trade was well worth it.

But Gu Su didn’t order the Graveyard Demon to turn back.

’Now that the enemy is dealt with, it’s time to collect the spoils of war.’

He had already sent Bone Ash with a team to clean up the battlefield, but he planned to personally inspect the overturned small Mobile Castle and the wreckage of the ship that had transported the Lizardmen.

’Some things require my personal attention.’

But just as he was preparing to leave, another White Crow flew back swiftly from the distance, landed on a nearby tree, and let out a series of urgent caws.

After listening, Crow’s Caw’s expression changed slightly. He turned to Gu Su. "Sir, the player from Section 70 of the Southeast Defense Line has appeared. He wants to snatch that small Mobile Castle."

Gu Su’s eyes hardened.

"That’s mine."

The words had barely left his mouth when he raised his right hand and pointed forward.

Billowing Black Fog surged behind him, and a Five Ghosts Spiritual Off-Roader burst out, coming to a smooth stop before him.

Gu Su vaulted into the vehicle. Without a moment’s hesitation, the off-roader blurred into an afterimage, streaking toward the battlefield enveloped in Black Fog.

Meanwhile, the Graveyard Demon continued its slow advance along the designated path.

Gu Su didn’t order it to stop. No matter what was happening, the Graveyard Demon had to reach the battlefield as quickly as possible.

His hard-won spoils and his Undead Team were there; he had to get on-site immediately.

The off-roader, modified by Five Ghosts Spirit Communication, was much faster than the Graveyard Demon.

In just a minute, Gu Su could already see the edge of the recent battlefield.

His troops were now surrounding the overturned small Mobile Castle.

Members of the Ash Squad were still gathering the Lizardman corpses. The Walking Dead Warriors and surviving Skeleton Warriors were scattered throughout the ruins, weapons in hand, facing another direction.

Not far from them, another force was locked in a standoff.

It was a pack of about fifty Ghouls. Their grayish-brown skin was covered in festering sores, and they crouched among the ruins with hunched backs, occasionally letting out low snarls.

Their claws dug deep into the rubble, as if they were waiting for a command, ready to pounce at any moment.

At the head of the Ghoul pack, a figure sat astride a Bone Horse.

The Bone Horse was pure, skeletal white, without a trace of any other color. A ghostly green Soul Fire danced within its eye sockets.

The Knight on its back was clad in Armor forged from a mix of white bone and black Metal. His pauldrons rose high, and his helmet was etched with intricate Undead runes.

He carried a massive scythe, its blade gleaming with a frigid light. Faintly visible upon the steel were dark, flowing patterns.

But what drew Gu Su’s attention most was the Ghost floating beside the Knight.

Its form was ethereal, its translucent body flickering in and out of view in the violet light. The face was a blur, with only its eyes being exceptionally clear. Those eyes were fixed on Gu Su, as if sizing him up.

’Gu Su had a feeling that the Ghost was the Death Knight’s true ace in the hole.’

The off-roader came to a smooth stop at the edge of the ruins, and Gu Su hopped out.

The Knight turned his head, his gaze crossing the no-man’s-land between the two opposing forces to land on Gu Su.

"You’re the player guarding Section 72 of the Southeast Defense Line, right?" the Knight’s voice grated from within his armor, muffled and metallic. "I’m taking this Mobile Castle. Have your men stand down."

Gu Su said nothing.

First, he glanced at the corpses on the ground. The Lizardmen hadn’t all been collected yet; they lay scattered about, their dark-violet scales caked with blood and filth.

Next, he glanced at his Undead carrying the bodies, before finally letting his gaze settle back on the Knight.

He shot Bone Ash a look and gestured toward the Lizardman corpses.

Bone Ash froze for a second before understanding dawned. With a wave of his hand, several Skeletons hoisted Lizardman corpses onto their backs. A yellowish-green fluid trickled down the scales as they advanced, looking for all the world like they were carrying demolition charges.

Only then did Gu Su speak.

"Come on, then," he said, his voice quiet but clear. "The castle’s right here. Take it, if you’ve got the guts."

He held out his right hand, palm up, as a ball of hazy gray light began to coalesce in his palm.

’I’ll end you.’

The instant the ball of gray light appeared, the Ghost beside the Knight drifted half a step forward. Its ethereal form trembled faintly, and its blurred face turned to the Knight. It spoke in a voice only they could hear:

"My lord, that’s the Corpse Explosion Technique."

Behind Gu Su, several clouds of Black Fog billowed in succession.

Four off-roaders burst from the fog, landing solidly on the ruins a short distance behind him.

Each vehicle carried five Undead Warriors—the rest of the Five Ghosts Combat Team. Though not all of them were Elite or veteran Warriors, their combat effectiveness was undeniable.

Then, two heavy-duty trucks emerged from the Black Fog, their massive frames blocking the edge of the ruins. No one could see what their cargo beds held.

The Knight’s hand gripping the scythe tightened slightly.

He glanced from the gray light in Gu Su’s hand to the two heavy-duty trucks. Vehicles like that could transport vast quantities of supplies—or vast numbers of Undead.

He didn’t know what the two trucks were carrying, but he knew one thing: vehicles that arrived on the battlefield this quickly wouldn’t be empty.

The Ghost at his side drifted another half-step closer.

"My lord, the Corpse Explosion Technique requires corpses." The Ghost’s voice was faint, but they had both seen what Gu Su’s Undead were up to. "He currently has over sixty corpses at his disposal."

The Knight was silent for two seconds.

Then, with a heavy grunt, he reined his Bone Horse around. The undead steed stamped its hooves twice before turning.

"We’re leaving."

The Ghoul pack let out a chorus of dissatisfied snarls but followed the Bone Horse in a slow retreat.

The hunched figures gradually vanished into the shadows of the ruins. Only when the last one was gone from sight did Gu Su close his hand, extinguishing the gray light in his palm in an instant.

He remained motionless, waiting a few more moments to confirm they were truly gone, before finally turning to look at the overturned small Mobile Castle.

The castle lay on its side, its walls riddled with claw marks and fissures. In several places, huge gashes had been torn open, revealing the twisted Metal framework within.

On a clear patch of ground nearby, the wreckage of the ship that brought the Lizardmen was still emitting wisps of black smoke. Through the fractured bulkheads, broken eggshells were faintly visible.

’This isn’t a safe place,’ Gu Su realized. ’I can’t deal with this salvage here. If I take too long, that other player will benefit.’ He took a deep breath and waved an arm.

"Haul this small Mobile Castle and that ship back to our territory!"
