Chapter 400 - Back Home
When Villagers saw some Chinese people entering in black coat pants, they were immediately alerted. It was easier for them to know that they were Chinese due to their distinctive facial features. A man, who knew both English and the language of the villagers, met the head of the village and asked them about a pregnant woman.
Of course, the villagers immediately didn't agree to let them meet Alcina and the baby as the latter had told them how she was in danger. So, they decided to make sure that these people were not a danger to the baby and his mother.
When Alcina was notified that someone had arrived in the village looking for them, she quickly asked Jun who sneaked out first to see if the people looking for them were an ally or enemy. It was only when he saw the batches of the Tang family logo on their uniform did he sighed in relief. Thus, he sent the words to the Village head to let them in as they were not the enemies.
"Saozi, It's Feng Siyan," Jun whispered in Alcina's ear, who smiled with teary eyes.
Finally, they could go home.
Maybe, everything will be fine now.
"Xiaobao, we are going home to your Bàbà," Alcina asked, caressing his dimpled chin. It was the only feature he had taken from her. She kissed his cheek and asked, Are you happy?"
The baby blinked at her, urging her to talk more. Such a talkative baby! Turning her head, she looked at the girl by her side. "Rumi, can you pack my things?"
She would go home to her family now. She was so happy that she could barely contain it in her heart.
Rummi nodded with a smile. They all were very happy for Alcina. In the end, she was returning to her family safe.
When Amma was about to give her back her necklace, Alcina shook her head, refusing to take it. "Amma, if one day any of you need the help of any sort, come to this address or call this number and show this necklace." She passed the elderly woman a piece of paper. "I will surely help you in any way I can. Please take it as a token of my gratitude. I can't repay what you have done for my family in words. Please let me do something for you."
Amma hugged her and cried softly as she bid goodbye to the woman and the baby who she had come to love in a single month.
Outside, when Feng Siyan pointed his gun at Jun, the villagers screamed, taking out their sticks to defend the boy. Alcina handed Xiaobao to Rumi and ran out to save Jun from getting hurt.
"What are you doing, Feng Siyan? Are you out of your mind?" Alcina came and Feng Siyan along with all the soldiers bowed in respect.
"We finally found you, madam," Feng Siyan said, his voice full of respect. Turning to Jun, he said in his usual cod and monotone voice, "Ingrate! He is a person who ran away taking advantage of the situation! Master saved him but he was stabbed in the back! Such an ungrateful person deserved a punishment worse than death!"
"You are mistaken," Alcina said, her voice full of authority. She might be away from home but she didn't forget who she was. And soon the soldiers would remember too. "He saved me from the enemy at the cost of his own life. Look at the wounds on his body. All these wounds he got while protecting me and my child. If such a person is ingrate, then I don't know what a Messiah looked like!"
Feng Siyan bowed his head before Jun a few he listened to Alcina's words. If it was true that this bit saved Alcina then he couldn't wrong him by calling him names. In fact, this boy was their benefactor. Bowing his head, he said, "I apologize. My judgement got the worst out of me."
"I'm not accepting your apology," Jun said, arrogantly. His noble aura was back. No one could just say words to him and expect him to forgive them.
Feng Siyan sighed and looked at Alcina who rolled her eyes. No, she wasn't helping. He didn't say any more words but when he looked at Alcina's thin figure, he quickly said, "Madam...the child…"
He dared not think about the….
"Baby is safe, " A girl came out with a baby wrapped in a blanket and handed it to Alcina. When the baby was placed into Alcina's arms, the soldiers behind Feng Siyan bowed again in respect. This show of respect in the Tang Clan was out of her understanding sometimes. But it was what it was.
"Would you like to take Xiaobao in your arms?" Alcina asked him. She knew the importance of Feng Siyan in Ryuu's life. He might consider himself subordinate to Ryuu but her husband considered this man as his best friend. To Faye, he was like an uncle, she wouldn't spend a week without seeing. And she believed that his place in Xiaobao's life would be similar.
"Can I, madam?" Feng Siyan asked with slight hesitation.
Alcina nodded and passed him the baby. Feng Siyan took him in his arms as if he was some precious treasure and connected it against his heart. "Welcome to the world, little lord. We all are here to serve you till our last breath." He glanced at Alcina and said in the softest and alive voice, "Little lord is the reflection of the master."
"He sure is," Alcina said with a smile.
With a smile, she waved goodbye to the village and left. But in her heart, she made a resolve to help the people of this village in the same way how they helped her.
