The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Early the next morning, Zhenyi woke up after spending the night alone on the huge bed again. She swore that she smelled Long Jie's scent on her body. But then she instructed her brain to stop fantasizing about him because he was so far from him. 

'Sigh. My morning starts with his name and night ends with his dreams. Just what have you done to me, Jie!' 

She had a beautiful dream last night. She saw that he had specifically come back to her. Furthermore in the dream, he told her that he would always come back to him! 

 She looked around but did not see anything that showed that it wasn't just a dream. She saw a maid standing outside the half-opened bedroom door.

'Who opened the door?' 

The maid asked in a respectful manner, "Mrs. Long, are you awake now?"

With a sigh, she stood up and went to freshen up. 

When Zhenyi came out of the room, she pushed the door wide open and she saw a tall man wearing black-rimmed glasses standing outside the bedroom along with a maid, apparently waiting for her. 

Just as she saw the man waiting for her outside, she closed the door on his face. 

The man was no one else but Cao Feng. 

Cao Feng's mouth twitched when he saw Zhenyi closing the door on his face. He had yet to forget the cruel punishment he had to go through because of his stubborn boss. 

"Miss Xin, I'm afraid that you have to come with me. It's almost noon," Cao Feng said in a robotic voice. Seeing that she was not responding, he pleaded, "Please ma'am." 

"Cao Feng, did you forget who signs your payslips? Or did you forget who's your boss?" Zhenyi asked him from behind the door. She was still angry. Most of all, she was hurt. "Or maybe, the accident months ago has weakened your brain cells. If it's the case, then scram!" 

"Miss Xin, Lord Ryuu has ordered me to take you to Xin mansion for lunch. Ming family and Lord will be arriving as guests. Your presence is anticipated. Besides that, your schedule also--" 

"Cao Feng! Who authorized you to take Ryuu's orders?"

As soon as Cao Feng heard Zhenyi's words, he realized that it would not be easy to be someone's assistant much less than Zhenyi's! 

"Ma'am it was your order to accept all the orders given by Lord Ryuu without having any second thoughts," Cao Feng replied and Zhenyi pressed her lips in a thin line. 

"Tell him that I'm not coming for lunch!" 

 Cao Feng couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat when he heard Zhenyi's final words. 

'Boss, do you know your devil of the brother is even more scary than you!' 

Obviously, he didnt said it aloud. 

"Lord Ryuu said if you refuse to come along, he will have to appear himself." It was the last resort and Cao Feng was definitely lying without fearing his death. But he knew that she would agree. 

 Of course, Zhenyi agreed to come with him to Xin mansion.

Zhenyi reached the Xin mansion an hour later. As she crossed the threshold of the place she had grown to call home, she felt as though she had a very different feeling this time. Her feelings could be categorized into resentment and grief. 

"Young Miss, welcome home," the house help greeted Zhenyi respectfully when she arrived at the door."The guests have arrived and Master is waiting for you in the living room." 

Zhenyi just nodded. She could hear the laughter coming from inside the house. But inside her, she could hear the sound of her heart shattering into million pieces. She wasn't blaming anyone. She just didn't know how to deal with this tough time. 

 As she entered the room, she saw everyone chatting happily. Ryuu was talking to Alex Qin, Bà was engaged in a conversation with Ming Ze, Song Yunxi was busy stealing glances at Xin Yichen, and Ming Jia was happily telling Xiuying Ryuu's embarrassing moments. Zhenyi just felt like she was someone who was trying to jinx their perfect family. 

"Oh, Zhenyi is here!" Ming Jia spoke and stood up to hug her. 

"Sigh. My daughter doesn't have time to visit her father these days," Xin Yichen said. 

"You're late," Ryuu said with a raised brow and Xiying looked up to see Zhenyi ignoring everyone's words. She didn't know if the heiress of the Xin family was really indifferent or just arrogant. 

"Hello everyone," Zhenyi said with a forced smile. She was so good at pretending that nobody found a fault in her play. After all, she was Zhenyi and how could she be bad in hiding her emotions behind the mask of indifference or arrogance?

Zhenyi took the seat next to Xiuying which was the only empty seat apart from those next to Ryuu and Xin Yichen. She didn't have the energy to smile graciously at everyone and neither did she have the patience to engage in meaningless conversations. 

Xiuying smelled Zhenyi's bad mood first, so she turned to her and said," It's nice to meet you again, Zhenyi." 

"Thank you, sister-in-law," Zhenyi said softly, dismissing her. 

Ming Xiuying froze at the title. She hadn't expected that Zhenyi would accept her so soon, but not only did she not create things difficult for her, she also called her sister-in-law as if they were close. She turned to look at Ryuu who raised his brow in return. 

She shook her head with a smile and felt his warm hand on her waist. 

"For you, Young Miss," A maid said with a polite smile. Zhenyi looked at the maid and then at the tray in her hands carrying lemon water. 

"I didn't ask you for the lemon water," Zhenyi told her, rejecting the water. "Take it away." 

Ryuu was about to say something when Ming Jia spoke, "What are you young people doing with us oldies? Go out. Ryuu, why don't you show Yingying the mansion? After all, it's her first time visiting the Xin mansion. And Zhenyi, Aria is looking for you." 

And just like this Ming Jia shooed away the problematic siblings.
