The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

"Angel?" Zhenyi whispered. She was suddenly reminded of Ryuu. 

"That's my brother's little treasure." Long Jie said with a smile. "She is a very beautiful child, Zhenyi."

Long Jie told him a few things about Faye and how she reminds him of her many times. Zhenyi was now curious to meet this niece of his husband who he cared for so much. 

Of course, she was not jealous of a kid. 

"Why do you call her Angel, Jie?" Zhenyi suddenly questioned him. 

Long Jie blinked his eyes and questioned," What do you call an angel?" 

'What do you call an angel?' Once someone asked her the same question. And today, she didn't know why but she missed that person too much. 

"What happened, Cat eyes?" She turned sad all of a sudden and Long Jie couldn't figure out why. 

"Nothing. Jie, it's getting late there. You should sleep." 

"Are you fine, Love?" He couldn't help but ask worriedly. 

"No," Zhenyi answered honestly. Her eyes turned red, scaring Long Jie. "I think I just miss you too much." 

Before Long Jie could say anything, she spoke, "Goodbye, Jie. You should sleep now." 

With this she hung up the call. 

With a sigh, she dialed Ryuu's number, but his phone was unreachable. She tried his assistant too, but she couldn't reach him either. 

So, she typed a message. 

[I don't know if you need to hear it but let me say it for my soul's peace. 

I love you, Ryuu more than anything. There is nothing more important than your happiness to me. If you don't wish to marry Xiuying, just say it. I will take care of everything. You have been taking care of everyone and everything since the beginning. Give me a chance and see how I'll make everything right.

Anyway, what's the worst that can happen?]

'Live for yourself once, Ryuu.'

A week had passed. 

Today was the day when Ryuu and Ming Xiuying would be marrying. 

Last night, Ryuu came back and disclosed that instead of a big wedding ceremony, they would just get the marriage certificates due to some security related issues and the Ming family didn't find anything wrong with it. Xin Yichen was suddenly reminded of the assailants at Zhenyi's wedding and so he agreed too. 

The wedding ceremony could be held anytime. As long as they are husband and wife, it was fine with him. 

And today, they would be getting their marriage certificates. 

Ryuu and Zhenyi were sitting in the same car as he had insisted that she accompany him. Even if Zhenyi found it weird, she didn't say anything. 

Instead of his assistant, someone else was driving his car. 

"Where is your assistant?" Zhenyi questioned him. That stick piece of wood finally left him alone for sometime? She was surprised. 

"He is taking care of the matters," Ryuu answered calmly. "He asked me to give you his best wishes." 

Zhenyi sneered. "Did he really care for anyone except you?" 

"Ah, here I thought that you have finally read him, but it seems I'm proven wrong." Ryuu acted as if he was hurt. What could he do? His assistant, who also happened to be his friend/advisor, and his little sister were arch-nemesis. They were like fire and ice. 

Zhenyi threw him a dirty look and turned her head to look out of the window. None of them spoke for the rest of the journey. 

When the door was opened for Ryuu, he saw Zhenyi had no intention of getting out. 

"Aren't you accompanying me?" 

Zhenyi shook her head. "Your fiance thinks that I'm her love rival. Or to put it into simple words, she is of the view that I have romantic feelings about Lord Ryuu. So, I have no intention to spoil your special day." 

Ryuu chuckled and ruffled Zhenyi's head. Only he could do so without the fear of getting his hand cut. 

'Ah, she is really angry. I wonder who summoned her wrath. My poor brother-in-law!' 

Ryuu looked at the driver solemnly and instructed. "Drop my Angel at home securely first!" 

"Stop calling me with a kid's name," Zhenyi immediately retorted. 

Ever since she heard that a kid was named Angel too, she didn't want to be called the same. Call her petty! She didn't care. 

According to her, only she should be called, Angel and that too only by Ryuu. It was not jealousy. She was just trying to protect her status in his heart. 

"A kid's name?" Ryuu asked her curiously. 

Zhenyi nodded. "My husband's niece is called Angel too. So, stop calling me Angel now. It's childish." 

Actually, in front of Ryuu, Zhenyi would never put up a brave front. She wouldn't hide her weakness from him ever. Since her childhood, she was of the view that even if everything was wrong and there was no way to make it right, her Ryuu would make everything right. He always did. Her confidence in him was astonishing.

She didn't know before where this confidence of hers in Ryuu came from. But ever since she remembered that it was Ryuu who came to save him when she was locked up for months, she has grown overly emotionally dependent on him. She knew it was not healthy, but she didn't have anyone except for Ryuu who could understand what came and went in her faulty brain. 

"Your husband's niece?" Ryuu asked while frowning. " Since when did Wei or Yuan have children?" 

"It's not their kid." 

A knowing smile came on Ryuu's face. Although he always had a smile present on his face whenever he was with her, yet this one was different. "Must be close to my brother-in-law, it seems." 

"I'll say that kid is as precious as any treasure to Jie. Perhaps, even more than that," Zhenyi muttered under her breath. 

Ryuu let out a hearty laugh. "Are you jealous, Angel?" 

"Stop it!" 

Ryuu laughed again. 

"Who knows maybe I'm more angelic than that little Angel!" 

Ryuu hit her head lightly. "Trust me, little sister there is nothing angelic about you." 

"Ryuu!"
