The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

"I will get Wei and Yuan to assist you in this matter. Ah-Siyan, don't leave brother alone even for a second, and I and the rest of the team will handle all of the other things," said Long Jie solemnly. "  Phantom's will get a quick and brutal reply. They touched our leader, and the consequences for touching the untouchables should be tattooed on their minds." 

The attack on Lord Tang was also the attack on the prestige and image of the White Knights. If they could dare to assassinate Lord Tang, what could they dare not to do?

"Don't…" Feng Siyan looked at him with an unpredictable and indescribable emotion. "I can handle the rest….but there is something only you can do. Especially now…"

Feng Siyan understood that what he was going to ask Long Jie was selfishness on his part, but what could he do?

Long Jie looked at him anxiously. He knew something was surely not right, particularly the way Feng Siyan was gazing at him. 

"You want me to do something else?" Long Jie asked Feng Siyan who seemed rather uneasy and troubled for some reason. 

"Ah-Jie." The usually cold and indifferent Feng Siyan was on the verge of breaking down. His voice was cracking, though it was unnoticeable but Long Jie, who had known Feng Siyan for as long as they had first met, could notice it with a single glance.

  " Have you ever heard of the story in which a king's life was in a parrot?" Feng Siyan asked him after a long pause. He appeared to have calmed his raging emotions or perhaps, it was what he was showing. 

Long Jie glanced at him as if to where the conventional silent Feng Siyan was going with this newly found talent of riddles. 

"Master is just like that King whose life exists in something like that parrot," said Feng Siyan. ".I have no authority to make decisions on his behalf, but it appears that I have finally accepted the talent of finding loopholes, and I am going to use it for my master. " He took a momentary pause before adding,"He asked me to save that someone before anything else in this world, even before him. So, Ah-Jie, will you guard my Master's life at the cost of yours? " 

Long Jie froze. Just what was this Feng Siyan blabbering? Had he forgotten his brain cells in China? Or was he too shocked because of Lord Tang's hospitalization that he had lost his sanity?

The Lord Tang, he was talking about, was as powerful as an omnipotent. What was there he was not capable of doing? 

Long Jie's trail of thoughts broke when he heard Feng Siyan saying,"He will never allow me to ask you for such a huge favor, but I am afraid that I have to ask you for this. Not just for my Master but for that someone too because if there is somebody who can protect Master's life that's you." Feng Siyan paused and looked at him as if begging, which was shattering his heart like no other thing. " Will you grant this act of kindness for my Master? I am ready to pay you back with my life-- "

And the sentence of Feng Siyan was enough for Long Jie to snap. 

"Feng Siyan, I dare you to say it again," Long Jie shouted, red with anger. He gave him a sarcastic laugh " You think so lowly of me? You think that I won't sacrifice my life when it comes to my brothers? You… " Long Jie had no words to say to him. True, he was hurt but he was also aware to what extent Feng Siyan was willing to go for Lord Tang. "Esma was right...you're indeed an alien species which got lost on the plains of this earth. "

Although Long Jue understood his logic, it still was not enough to soothe his burning rage. 

He glared at Fang Siyan," Damn you, Feng Siyan."

  None of them spoke for a few minutes before Gu Tian decided to intervene between the two stubborn men. 

"Masters, Feng Siyan!" 

Both of them looked at Gu Tian as if something happened again. 

"I think Lord Tang is more important than anything else right now." 

Long Jie huffed and puffed for a few moments before lashing out. 

"I am not doing it for you. I am not doing it for my brother. I am not doing it for a favor either. You know why?" inquired Long Jie. Seeing that Feng Siyan didn't react, he uttered. " Because I won't grant you this so-called act of kindness. Ah-Siyan, we four came together because of fate but we chose to stay together because we know we belong with each other. Just because you call yourself brother's subordinate doesn't make you less of a brother that you're to us" He took a pause to stop his emotions. "Brother's don't ask, they demand. And yes, you have every right to demand me to do anything. Even when my life is the cost."

Feng Siyan pressed on the door handle a little too tightly, and in a swift moment, an electric screen appeared on the door. It was asking for a password to unlock it. The simple looking door was actually a masterpiece created by the world-class architects and hackers. 

Sigh. Wonders of science. 

Long Jie was no stranger to technological miracles. But this simple door was quite startling to him. He told himself that it was because of the science behind its creation, not because of the curiosity as to who was residing behind the door. 

There was not one password protected door but several. One door led to another, and the other led to one more door. If he remembered correctly, they opened four doors in total till now. 

When all the doors were unlocked by Feng Siyan, a final door came into view, and as usual he assumed that it was password protected too,  but after walking for a few distance, he unlocked the door just by twisting the handle. 

To tell the truth, Long Jie was counting seconds to meet that 'someone' who Lord Tang was ready to give his life to. Was that someone his family? Or was someone a woman his brother was in love with? But whatever the answer was he was quite curious about it. 

Who was this someone? This question was running in Long Jie's head. 

On the other hand, Feng Siyan was aware of the thoughts bouncing in Long Jie's head, because he was of the same sort when he first met the treasure inside. 

If the life of Lord Tang was valuable, then, the person inside was invaluable in worth. 

Feng Siyan opened the last door to the point room, and looked at Long Jie whose stomach was flipping with anticipation. 

Long Jie held his breath as he watched the door open. In slow motion, the scene inside the room flipped his world upside down.

Unbelievable. No...it couldn't be...

He watched as Feng Siyan entered the room, and gave a huge smile to that 'someone' and patted that 'someone's head very lovingly and gently as if he was not Feng Siyan at all. 

Long Jie blinked as if he had seen a scene out of this world, and blinked his eyes again as if to assure himself that he was not dreaming. 

He watched how Feng Siyan said something to that 'someone' with another of his smiles, and how she returned it with a blink. 

The person Long Jie was referring to as 'that someone' in his head was a little girl of not more than five years. 

He wondered what Feng Siyan was talking to the little girl. He was smiling and caressing her hair, but she didn't give him a single smile in return, and neither had she spoken a word. He couldn't believe that the person he was weaving his head was someone who was not like that at all… instead it was a little girl. 

Just a five year's old girl. 

Who was she? Long Jie raised the question in his heart. 

As if she could hear her silently question her, she glanced at his direction. Their eyes met and the first thing he noticed was her green eyes. 

So unique, so unusual. 

Her nose was a little familiar to him and so was the air surrounding her. 

It didn't take him more than five minutes to conclude that she was his brother's daughter. 

Lord Tang's daughter. Precious than any treasure in the world. His niece. 

Many emotions were swelling in his heart right now but the most naked one was wonder.
