Zhenyi saw her younger self running from the scene towards the other side that even she didn't know where it led. 

She had just listened to her mother, then why was she feeling so suffocating? Why did she want to stop her younger self from abandoning her mother and sister?

After a few moments of silence, she kept her mother's face against her chest and kissed her forehead, eyes, nose, and cheeks. How could she not want to? Even if it was a dream, she didn't care! Even if she was in great pain, she didn't care at all. She just wanted to feel this moment, was this too much to ask for? 

"Mama, why did you send me away? I just needed to be here for you? How would I ever live without you?" She hugged her tightly and cried her lungs out. She was feeling so complex right now, just wanted to blame herself for the death of her mother and her sister, but she was even more guilty now that she had the audacity to hold her mother closely. She had no right to feel like this. She didn't deserve to call her mother. She was the reason for her death.

  How would she ever forgive herself? 

  She would never forgive herself…

Now she knew what Long Jie felt when she used to say to him that his past didn't matter, and so he should leave it behind and live his present and worry for their future. 

But now, how would she face Ryuu or even Bà?

"But it's my fault. I can't save you!" Zhenyi yelled. She didn't even bother to wipe her tears. "It's all my fault, I can't save you. I am useless and weak." 

"Shut up!" Tang Reine's strict voice rang. Although she was weak and in half comatose condition, yet she didn't leave her authority. It almost made Zhenyi smile. " Don't you dare to insult me, young lady, by calling yourself useless and weak? No one is allowed to call my children these words. Do you get it?" 

"Mom--" 

"No, tell me do you get it or not? I carried you in my womb for nine months not to hear you call yourself weak and useless. I won't forgive you if you ever think of yourself like that. You are my daughter, Zhenyi, you may not understand today what it means to Tang Reine's daughter, but you will one day and that day will be the third proudest moment of my life. Of course, making your father mine was first and giving birth to Ryuu and you were the second." 

Zhenyi chuckled between her tears. "I'm sorry, mom." I'm sorry for everything. Please never forgive me. 

"I have to go now, Angel." Tang Reine opened her eyes and looked at her. She smiled and with her hand, she caressed her face lovingly. " I have to leave now. You have to take care of our family. You are the heart of our family, please protect it at any cost. Especially my husband. Tell him that I love him to death and even after that." 

"Please don't go," Zhenyi whispered, looking at her in utter defeat. 

Tang Reine smiled again. "It's inevitable, Zhenyi. Some things in life can't be altered no matter how much we want to. Death is inescapable and unpredictable too. I didn't know it was my last day with my family and if I had... " She paused and then looked at Zhenyi and said. " So, don't forget to live your life without any guilt." 

"I won't let you go," Zhenyi sobbed, hugging her close to her chest. "Don't go, please. I need you. I miss you. I love you so much, mom. Please don't go. I need you." 

No matter how much she cried or begged, neither Tang Reine nor the Almighty listened to her. She found herself on slumping on the ground, the rain was pouring and the sun was hidden by the dark clouds. 

It was another day. It was another time. It was another scene.
