The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

It was beautiful or this was what a seventeen years old young girl thought. She loved taking long walks whenever she was permitted to, especially in spring, when the flowers blossomed, trees get new leaves and the grass died by the tyranny of severe winter comes to life again. 

There was a unique beauty of this particular season. And perhaps, for this reason alone, it was known as the season of hope and revival. 

As the young girl left her bedroom to go for the walk that she had planned out, she confronted someone who she was not hoping to see today. 

She lowered her gaze as his eyes fell on her. She stood frozen at the door like a statue. 

"Where are you going, my butterfly?" The man questioned as he moved in her direction. He was hoping to find her but he didn't think he would find her soon and in such a jolly mood. 

"Just to the garden," the girl replied in a soft yet polite tone. Her eyes didn't leave her feet. 

"Garden, eh? " He asked her as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. 

She neither responded nor look at him, just continued looking at the floor. 

"I'm home after so many days. Won't you sit with me? Do you not missed me like the way I missed you, my butterfly?" He spoke in a muffled tone and loudly breathed her scent.

"Sure, Mr. Du," came the same reply as always. 

Yes, he was Du Zheng. The new villain of Zhenyi's life. He had vowed to destroy Zhenyi and everyone starting with the surname Xin. "A new shark entered the game. Or that what this little fish thinks. " Du Zheng chuckled in mirth. 

The girl couldn't help but ask. " Why do you want to destroy this one? What wrong has she done to you? " 

He scooted near her and spoke once he was few inches away from her. " Butterfly...oh my butterfly, she did nothing wrong and that's the problem. I'm the King here and she dared to come here and spread her wings on my kingdom like a queen which she is certainly not." 

He would destroy her first and then possess her. He'd be the first one to break down her pride and arrogance. And he intends to enjoy every moment of it. 

The girl didn't know why she couldn't keep her eyes off the picture of the other woman. Perhaps, it was her eyes which caught her interest or the look of pride and shrewdness her gaze carried.

"She is beautiful." The girl uttered. " Very much so." She added when she finally noticed her mismatched eyes which were not completely perceptible in the picture at first glance. 

"Indeed. I'll possess her after destroying her. She will beg for my attention and reverence," He said as he picked the file before her and closed it. 

"Like everyone does." She said in almost a whisper. 

"Just except you." He whispered back. 

"Tell me, my butterfly, how long I have to wait for you, " He asked the young girl, the look of longing and hurt was not hidden from her.

The girl mustered out a smile. " You have me now. I'm yours. You own me. I'm bound to you. Forever. " 

"I prefer your thorn, butterfly than your phony sweetness and docility. I know you have concealed thorns and you will not use it against me." Du Zheng looked at the young girl, indifference flashing in her eyes. Only he knew how badly he wanted to replace the look of indifference in her eyes to love and care for him. 

Her throat tightened but she appeared all strong and neutral. 

He spoke after a pause. " I have your body but not your heart and soul. You are with me because you are bound to me not because you wish to." 

"I'm yours forever and ever." She whispered. And she didn't know who she was convincing him or her. 

" As long as I'm alive, you won't leave me or cross the threshold of this property. Do you get it?" Du Zheng told her with authority. Even if she dared to fly, he would clip her wings and lock her in a jar. Then again what's a butterfly without her wings? 

"I won't dare to leave the premises, Zheng." She replied in all honesty. 

"Better. Now tell me how do you want me to destroy this one? She has one smart mouth just like yours. I saw how she dealt with difficult law enforcement. The officer Zheng is not an easy person to deal with," Du Zheng said. He was watching from the distance when Xin Zhenyi dealt with the Officer Zheng. Everyone knew how difficult and arduous man he was. Yet the woman played with him smoothly. 

"What will you do to her?" The girl asked instead. 

"I want her as my slave. I want to see her begging me, I want to see her break, I want to see her shrinking in fear and I want to watch her bleed to death." 

"What do you think? " He intentionally asked her. 

"Sure, Zheng." 

He said in a muffled tone again breathing her unique scent. "Butterfly...my butterfly. You got wings, eh? Dare not to fly. I will catch you and lock you in an inescapable jar and you will not want that. Go back to your room and practice what your teacher taught you. Practice your music, I love when you sing in that honeyed voice of you for me. " 

"Goodbye, Zheng."

"And stop talking to that new guard otherwise his death will be on you. " His harsh voice rang. 

"I will." She said with all the strength left in her. Though her eyes were burning but her heart was drowning in despair.
