Marcus Quinn accepted the agreement.

Lawyer Wei returned the Duncan Family’s agreement.

Mr. Duncan was timid throughout and didn’t dare to confront directly.

Seeing things resolved, Constantine Stewart got up and went home. Once the boss left, Manager Fu and Mr. Duncan also made off at once, leaving only Marcus Quinn, Ah Tan, and Uncle De in Fragrance Tower.

Uncle De held the two agreements, shedding old tears, tearing them up completely.

While cooking earlier, Marcus Quinn learned from Uncle De that after Fragrance Tower was secretly suppressed by Imperial City Hotel, the chefs were poached with high salaries, business plummeted, and Uncle De had to open a small restaurant on his own outside, which has been doing well all these years.

Knowing that Marcus Quinn was going to reopen Fragrance Tower, Uncle De was overjoyed.

"Marcus, when are we reopening Fragrance Tower? I can bring the old customers of my small restaurant over," Uncle De asked with a smile.

Marcus glanced at Ah Tan, letting Ah Tan decide.

"Uncle De, we need to renovate first and arrange the transportation route for the ingredients. Closing your small restaurant might have some losses, as it will take time to rebuild the reputation of Fragrance Tower," Ah Tan replied with a smile.

Uncle De waved his hand and said with a laugh, "No matter, my son and daughter are grown up now, capable of supporting themselves. I’ve made enough money already; Fragrance Tower is the lifelong effort of my master and me, and I want to come back here."

Ah Tan and Marcus exchanged a glance, feeling happy. Having Uncle De at Fragrance Tower would be great, as they couldn’t stay long in Imperial City.

"Then, Uncle De, let’s close Fragrance Tower for now. The renovation will take a month, and as for employee arrangements, that’s up to you," Marcus said.

Uncle De nodded, called the manager and all the employees for a meeting, closed Fragrance Tower, and told all employees to take three months’ salary home.

Ah Tan secretly nodded, surprised at Uncle De’s decisiveness. If she were in that position, she would do the same. Most of these employees just loafed around and considered this place a retirement home. Instead of spending considerable effort training these old hands, it would be better to hire new people for training.

Fragrance Tower employees were already discussing privately, surprised at the sudden closure of the restaurant. Fortunately, they have three months’ salary, so everyone quickly lined up to get their pay from Marcus and went home.

Fragrance Tower had 15 employees in total, with an average salary of 6,000; over three months, Marcus paid nearly three hundred thousand.

The three tidied up the place, locked the door, and drove the remaining ingredients from the kitchen to Uncle De’s small restaurant, then drove back to the courtyard house for a meeting.

Uncle De’s children were already working, and after receiving their father’s call, they picked up their mother after work and headed to the courtyard house.

Aunt De was an honest and hardworking woman; Uncle De’s children were about the same age as Marcus, with one working in securities and the other in design.

"Mom, it’s our first visit, so we should buy something, unlike Dad who was so happy he forgot everything," Cade Warrior, Uncle De’s son, said as he drove to the courtyard house. Suddenly remembering this, he quickly turned to the nearby mall.

Over the years, Uncle De sighed, feeling he had let down his master by not taking care of his legacy and not preserving Fragrance Tower. Aunt De and the siblings heard it so often they grew calluses in their ears. Now that Marcus had returned, Uncle De was so happy he gave up his business.

"Yes, yes, we should buy something. Your dad was speaking all tangled over the phone, talking nonsense," Aunt De laughed.

"Let’s buy a bouquet of flowers, some fruits, and some specialties. Didn’t Dad say Marcus would only stay for two days in Imperial City before heading back to South River?" Lilith, Uncle De’s daughter, said with a smile.

"You just go ahead and buy what you think is good."

The three bought the items, followed the navigation to the courtyard house, and upon seeing it’s a prime location on the Second Ring Road, they exclaimed, "Wow," knowing that even money couldn’t buy a place here.

Cade Warrior opened the door and saw a chubby little robot approaching adorably and saying, "Hoh Xilin welcomes you on behalf of the owner."

Its voice was sweet and melt-in-you-mouth cute.

The Warrior siblings curiously approached and touched the little robot.

"Don’t touch me, Hoh Xilin gets shy," the little robot continued to say adorably.

"What a treasure this robot is, so cute!" Lilith’s girlish heart overflowed.

The little robot, forcibly set to have a sweet baby voice by Ah Tan, indicated she didn’t do it on purpose.
