Chapter 1150: Chapter 1177: Maeve Is Sick (1)

Mia Ginger stared at him for a long time, seemingly at a loss for words.

She remained silent, and Camden River was silent too.

Perhaps he acted on impulse just now, but looking back, he didn’t regret it. Now he only wished to cut through the confusion swiftly and settle down as soon as possible. Talia Tong was the ready choice, and the best option.

Mia Ginger lowered her head, suddenly laughed, and asked him, "Are you still the Camden River I know?"

Camden River pressed his thin lips together.

Mia Ginger sighed, "The Camden River I know wouldn’t do something like this."

"Mia," Camden River suddenly spoke, looked at her earnestly and said, "People change. I admit, I was selfish in this matter. But I won’t hurt Talia, I will treat her well and be a good husband."

Mia Ginger smiled, "Do you love her?"

Camden River: "..."

"Not loving her, yet preparing to marry her, that’s not fair to her."

"Hmm."

Camden River looked a bit tired, his expression weary, showing an unwillingness to talk more. Mia Ginger watched him, bit her lip, and fell silent, saying nothing for now.

Matters of the heart are the most troublesome, and Talia had already agreed. What could she, an outsider, say?

As the saying goes, only the drinker knows if the water is warm or cold.

Shortly thereafter—

The police investigating the case came by to make a report, and Mia Ginger walked out of the hospital room.

By noon, the wind and rain had gradually subsided.

There was a cool breeze in the corridor. She stood for a moment, feeling cold, and only then remembered to call Windsor Myres.

Windsor Myres didn’t answer.

She then asked Ali Harris for the number and sent a text message.

Ali Harris quickly texted back, saying that Windsor Myres was at Camden River’s house packing up and was going back to her own home. She was still very angry and seemed like she really intended to break with Camden River.

Mia Ginger didn’t interfere.

She also knew about Windsor Myres and Ali Harris and was calling just to make sure she was safe.

Beyond that, there was nothing she could do.

She was also a bit tired.

Mia Ginger sent a text to Koa Jackson, deciding to check up on Talia Tong.

Talia Tong’s new hospital room wasn’t far from Camden River’s.

When Mia Ginger entered the room, Talia was on the phone with Daniel Davis, apologizing in a low voice, "Brother Davis, I’m sorry."

Daniel Davis had already left the hospital and was driving on the road. Hearing this, he took a deep breath, and after a moment, chuckled helplessly, "No need to apologize to me, really. Talia, the person you owe the most is yourself."

"I..."

She hesitated in her tone. Daniel Davis seemed to chuckle lightly again and asked in a low voice, "Have you agreed?"

Talia Tong held her breath and said nothing.

Daniel Davis understood, "I wish you happiness."

"I’m sorry."

"Don’t have a mental burden. Now, you should think about how to capture Camden River’s heart. Since you’ve agreed, strive for yourself. Don’t let my voluntary withdrawal be in vain, understand?"

Capture Camden River’s heart? She had never thought of that.

Talia Tong didn’t know what to say.

Daniel Davis casually said a few more words and hung up the phone first.

Beside her, Mila Davis took the phone away and brought a chair for Mia Ginger, gently saying, "Young lady, have a seat."

"Thank you, Auntie."

Mia Ginger didn’t stand on ceremony, sat in the chair, and asked Talia Tong, "How are you feeling?"

"It just hurts quite a bit." Talia Tong pulled a smile, looking at her. Her expression still had a hint of nervousness and hesitation. She softly asked, "Did you just come from Camden River’s?"
