Chapter 1110: Chapter 1137: Anchor Interview (Part 5)

With her joining the competition, others naturally felt twice the pressure.

The people ahead kept looking back frequently.

Mia Ginger caught those glances but ignored them, suggesting to Windsor Myres, "Why don’t you put your hair up into a bun?"

"Huh," Windsor Myres was puzzled, "Why?"

Mia Ginger smiled lightly, "Look, you’re the only one with big long waves, and it’s so attention-grabbing. Putting it in a bun will make it look more professional and neat. You’ll be more likely to catch the judges’ eyes later."

Windsor Myres thought for a moment, frowning, "News anchors seem to all need to cut their hair short."

Mia Ginger was taken aback, "Seems like it."

She hadn’t realized this before; now, reminded by Windsor Myres, she noticed that in her memory, female news anchors rarely have long hair. At least on the first channel, there are absolutely no long-haired female news anchors.

Awkward.

She had kept her long hair for two and a half years and quite liked it now. Especially after every shower, when Koa Jackson would cuddle her on the bed, his fingers would always tangle in her long hair, just thinking about it made her heart race.

She got distracted again.

Windsor Myres didn’t notice her distraction and seemed a bit annoyed herself, "I don’t look good with short hair."

She simply couldn’t imagine cutting her long hair short, dyeing it black, and turning it into the conventional and steady hairstyle of a news anchor. It looked horribly ugly, could she do that?

Not to mention Camden River; she herself couldn’t accept it.

Everyone has a bit of stubbornness, especially girls like her who have always been mindful of their looks. She could go without heavy makeup, light makeup suits her well, but she couldn’t accept black short hair, it felt unbearably ugly.

She certainly looked forward to working with Camden River, but she couldn’t imagine facing him every day with black short hair.

Frowning and sighing, she stepped forward, wanting to leave.

Mia Ginger instinctively grabbed her, "Where are you going?"

"I’m not going in," Windsor Myres said to her, "Making my hair like that is like killing me. Besides, I’m not interested in this line of work. Even if I work with Camden River, we won’t be together all the time, it doesn’t seem worth it."

Mia Ginger was a bit amused and helpless, "So what about now?"

"Anyway, I’m not interviewing for this anymore. You go ahead, you probably won’t have any issue," Windsor Myres said casually, "I’ll go check out the library. There’s a campus recruitment fair today, I’ll see if there’s any company I’m interested in."

She mentioned the campus recruitment fair again, Mia Ginger was dazed for a moment then probed, "You’re not helping out at your mom’s restaurant anymore?"

"It’s complicated, I’ve had a falling out with her," Windsor Myres frowned, "She’s simply unreasonable. Ugh, let’s not talk about her. Camden River said he hopes I find a proper job. I don’t want to be involved with the family stuff anymore, so I’ll look for something myself."

The queue ahead kept moving, so Mia Ginger briefly said, "Take care then."

"Bye-bye."

Windsor Myres waved her hand and left.

A staff member came down from the front of the line again, reminding everyone, "Each person has five minutes inside. Two minutes to give a brief self-introduction, and the remaining three minutes to simulate a news broadcast with the story you draw."

A bunch of cards were presented to Mia Ginger, and she casually drew one. She lowered her head and silently recited.

This way, being at the end of the line actually had some advantages.

However—

The judges would surely be fatigued by the end.

Pros and cons, I guess.

Mia Ginger let out a sigh, waiting outside for a full two hours.
