Chapter 1092: Chapter 1119: I’m Pregnant (7)

Mia Ginger looked up at him, asking, "What’s with your reaction? Not saying anything?"

His face was tense, looking a bit unhappy.

Koa Jackson suddenly laughed.

Mia kept watching him, feeling as if his smile moved in slow motion in her eyes. First, the corners of his lips slightly curved, then a sound emerged, and finally, happiness spread across his entire face, making his already handsome features even more captivating.

"Brother Jackson." Mia hugged him tightly.

Koa also hugged her tightly, lowered his head, and planted a heavy kiss on her hair, saying, "Thank you."

Mia: "..."

Why so distant?

She was instantly displeased, pouting, "Don’t say thank you, I want to hear something else."

"Love you." Those simple words repeated in her ears, and Mia felt her heart flutter as she heard the tremor in his voice.

The earlier worries, panic, and gloom, all those negative emotions, flew away to the clouds. If she’d known a child could make him so happy, she would’ve done it earlier for him.

Mia thought foolishly, and suddenly felt a pang.

With two people tangled up under the covers, how could there be no reaction?

Koa’s palm was warm and hot, his eyes deep, with such a strong reaction, he definitely had thoughts.

Mia pursed her lips, suddenly waved a hand in front of Koa’s face, and asked, "Are you okay?"

"What?"

"What do you think?" Mia suddenly pulled her hand back, looking mischievous.

Koa gritted his teeth, almost groaning out loud.

Mia also pursed her lips, her almond-shaped eyes fixed on his face, observing every subtle change in his expression.

Koa’s ears turned red, he raised his hand to cover her eyes, but Mia caught his hand, leaned in closer, and scrutinized him intently. Just her gaze was enough to overwhelm Koa; this shameless girl was practically driving him crazy.

The two of them goofed around until past ten.

Koa went to the bathroom to take another shower and afterward changed the sheets.

Lying together on the bed, unable to sleep, they chatted.

Mia asked, "Brother Jackson, what did you say we should name our kids last time?"

"You didn’t remember?"

"I just want to hear you say it, come on."

"A boy would be Matthew, and a girl would be Leila." Koa’s eyes were incredibly gentle.

Mia said dreamily, "Matthew, Leila, I like them both."

"Let’s sleep now. Tomorrow, take the day off, and I’ll take you to the hospital for a check-up."

"I’m very healthy."

"You still need to get checked." Koa pinched her cheek, holding back laughter, "A healthy mother can nurture healthy babies."

"Isn’t it also related to the seed?" Mia looked at him with mock seriousness, "Isn’t there a saying, like father like son; mice give birth to mice that can dig holes? It shows these are innate."

Koa: "..."

Mia snuggled further under the blanket, only her sparkling eyes showing, "I’m going to sleep. I need to pray in my dreams for twins, Matthew and Leila to come together."

Koa: "..."

He suddenly started to worry, thinking that this girl was still a child herself. How would she raise their future kids?

Koa sighed and went to sleep too.

——

Next morning.

The two got up on time and went straight to the hospital after breakfast.

Mia called Phillip Hanson to take the day off. Thinking of her situation yesterday, he readily agreed and repeatedly reminded her to rest well, eat nutritiously, and go to the hospital if necessary.

Mia naturally agreed to everything.

She went in for an ultrasound, while Koa waited outside with their belongings.

A doctor passed by, did a double-take seeing him, stopped, and asked in surprise, "Professor Jackson, what brings you over here?"

Koa was considered quite young among his hospital peers, but his skills and education were top-notch, and the other doctors greeted him warmly and respectfully. The doctor who spoke was from the obstetrics department, with a very gentle demeanor.

Koa gave a small smile, "My wife is having an ultrasound inside."

His tone was as calm as always, but the tenderness in his smile couldn’t be hidden.

The male doctor was taken aback, then beamed, "So, you’re expecting!"

"Looks like it." Koa left some room for uncertainty.

The male doctor ignored the uncertainty, repeatedly congratulating, "Congratulations, this is great news!"

"Thank you." Koa nodded, his smile broadening, radiating joy.

The doctor quickly moved on to work, leaving Koa standing there, exuding happiness. He took a light, contented breath, feeling refreshed in every bone and muscle, as he reminisced about earlier times—all about Mia.

Mia soon came out, feeling nervous, and gripped his hand, sitting down on a nearby chair.

Soon, a nurse invited the two of them inside.

Koa and Mia entered the consultation room together. The middle-aged female doctor smiled as she saw him, "Congratulations, Dr. Jackson. Your wife is forty-one days pregnant with fraternal twins, and everything is normal."
