Camden River explained, "I invited Roy Anders, and he said he’s seeing Mina Lee, so he brought her along. As for Tonya Turner, my dad asked me to invite her, and she should be bringing her boyfriend, there shouldn’t be any conflict."

Camden River had to explain again.

The River Family and the Turner Family were originally both in Riverside. Camden River’s father is an archaeologist, and Tonya Turner’s dad likes to collect antiques. Unexpectedly, the two of them ran into each other at an antique market in Riverside a few days ago. Turner’s dad has money but lacks discernment, having made several mistakes. Observing quietly, Father River took notice and, realizing he was that charitable businessman in the city, gave him a couple of hints out of helplessness. Well, Turner’s dad, warm and hearty, directly latched onto him. With nothing much to do, the two personalities were surprisingly kindred spirits upon meeting, had tea together, and then dinner, and what’s dinner without chatting? As they talked, the topic naturally turned to their children, and it turned out their kids attended the same school and even the same college, within the same faculty.

What a great coincidence!

Even though Tonya Turner’s mom knew about Camden River, since it was her daughter’s secret, she hadn’t said much to her husband.

Turner’s dad praised his daughter and then Camden River, eventually finding out about Camden River’s plan to buy a house in Cloud Capital. He had just bought a house for Tonya and, slapping his thigh, immediately called a real estate acquaintance about it.

Soon, the acquaintance agreed to quickly help find a suitable house for Camden River, with incredible discounts under his requirements.

Turner’s dad handled this beautifully. Though Father River, nearly ten years older, is a bit old-fashioned, he is also a righteous person, and they became fast friends, nearly sworn brothers.

With such a friend gained, Camden River naturally knew about it, and after work was taken to see the house, which was impeccable in every aspect, sealing the deal in a day or two. Naturally, he had to invite Tonya Turner.

The old man said, "The young girl is alone in Cloud Capital, not easy. Though you’re not classmates, you’re alumni for eight years; that’s not easy, keep an eye on her. You don’t have a sister, so consider her one."

Camden River was unbelievably troubled: Windsor Myres in the middle, his mom wanting him to take care of Rosy Harris, and his dad wanting him to look out for Tonya Turner; three people grouped together could put on a play.

Mia Ginger, after listening, couldn’t help but sigh and teasingly commented, "Just goes to show you’re quite fortunate with the ladies."

"Come on now." Camden River felt extremely vexed.

Mia Ginger understood him too.

In other aspects, he was impeccable, except in matters of the heart, a never-ending tangled mess.

He was responsible but inexperienced in love. Though Windsor Myres still loved him, and he had feelings for her, despite the many issues between them, he couldn’t make a clean break. Regarding the house purchase, Turner’s dad had played a significant role. Following his father’s intention, the two are now friendly, drinking tea, strolling, and watching antiques together; it wouldn’t be right not to invite Tonya, especially since they’re classmates.

Inviting guests is an art; as an open-hearted person, Camden couldn’t invite Tonya covertly—she had to be invited publicly. Mentioning Daniel Davis in passing was uncomplicated; they were coming as a couple, what could possibly happen?

As for Windsor Myres, communicating beforehand shouldn’t be a problem either.

Camden River pressed his lips and frowned in thought.
