Chapter 1065: Chapter 1092: The Battle Over the Child (3)

"Hmm." Koa Jackson nodded, "If you don’t have any other plans, we can stay at home tonight, and then tomorrow morning, we can visit your parents, have lunch with them, and also discuss the wedding plans. How does that sound to you?"

"That works." Mia Ginger thought for a moment, nodded, and agreed.

She actually wanted to go to the prison to meet the three criminals involved in Zoey Leaf’s case, to indirectly probe about Lydia Williams and see if there were any clues. She figured it would be fine to go over tomorrow afternoon.

Old Master Jackson was about to turn a hundred years old, and Koa Jackson would visit him every weekend. She, of course, understood.

After dinner, the two of them took Jax and Chancellor out together.

Mia Ginger didn’t sit in the passenger seat; she held Jax in her arms, sitting at the back. Although the back seat was spacious, it felt a bit crowded with two people and a dog. After all, Chancellor was large and liked to move around.

Mia Ginger barely managed to sit properly with Jax. When the car drove onto the highway, she thought of calling Bradley Cooper.

"Mia?" The call connected quickly, and Bradley Cooper greeted her.

Mia Ginger smiled, "Uncle, what are you up to?"

"Just relaxing." Bradley Cooper laughed and directly asked, "Are you interested in my rumors, too?"

"Ahem." Mia Ginger, having been caught directly, instead breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "I’m not that nosy. It’s a friend of mine; she now works in entertainment news. She got scolded by her editor for not getting your exclusive, so I wanted to, um, ask on her behalf about your mysterious girlfriend. Who is she really?"

"Elise Sutton." Bradley Cooper replied directly.

Mia Ginger was startled, "It’s really her, huh? Can this be disclosed?"

"If it’s your friend, you can tell her." Bradley Cooper showed no annoyance and said with a faint smile, "We’ll be on the 1 PM flight. We’ll definitely be at the airport by around noon."

"..." Mia Ginger was stunned for a moment. "Thank you, Uncle."

Bradley Cooper chuckled, "I heard from your mom that you started interning. How’s it going?"

"Everything’s going pretty well." Mia Ginger pursed her lips.

"Alright then. The journalism field is tough, take care of yourself. Especially with the high temperatures lately, be careful not to get heatstroke."

"I know."

"Is that all for now?"

"Yes."

Mia Ginger hung up and after a moment’s thought, she called Mina Lee directly.

Mina Lee was overjoyed, thanked her repeatedly over the phone, and ended the call.

Koa Jackson glanced at her through the rearview mirror and reminded her, "Don’t let Jax fall asleep."

"Oh." Mia Ginger shifted her position holding him, and when she turned her head, she noticed Chancellor had its back to her, semi-squatting on the seat watching the scenery. She couldn’t help but giggle, "Our Chancellor looks so gentlemanly."

Chancellor heard its name and glanced over at her.

Mia Ginger ruffled Jax’s cheeks, feeling cheerful, and made faces at Chancellor.

Chancellor wasn’t interested in entertaining her and turned its head expressionlessly, continuing to watch the scenery with great poise.

Mia Ginger: "..."

Koa Jackson chuckled, "Even the dog dislikes you."

Mia Ginger looked up at him, pouted, and said, "Even the dog dislikes me, but you don’t. You even..."

Koa Jackson shot her a sharp glance.

Mia Ginger stopped her words in time, gave him a placating smile.

The morning breeze blew all the way, and finally, at about ten, they arrived at the Jackson Residence, the daylight was glaringly bright.

Koa Jackson parked the car, held Jax, while Mia Ginger led Chancellor. Talking and laughing, they entered the hall. Just like always, they could hear the sound of joyful chatter and conversation from afar—it was quite lively.

Zane Jackson, Daniella Jackson, Lydia Williams, their two kids, and even Allen were all sitting on the sofa.
