She felt a bit embarrassed, tightened her grip on his hand, and whispered, "I’m no longer interning at Sunshining Network."

"What?" Koa Jackson was taken aback, stopping in his tracks.

Mia looked at him, her face full of embarrassment, "The female colleague you met this afternoon, she’s Dallas Taylor’s wife and also my direct superior. She’s been targeting me since my first day at work, and I couldn’t do my job."

Koa Jackson’s expression darkened, "Why didn’t you say something earlier?"

"I originally thought the situation could be eased," Mia said helplessly, "but who knew it would only get worse."

Koa Jackson turned her face back to him and said helplessly, "Why didn’t you tell me you were unhappy at work, keeping it to yourself?"

"I didn’t want you guys to worry."

"If you don’t want to work there, then don’t." Koa Jackson pondered, "Having a good leader at the start is very important. If she’s like that, it’s better not to work with her. Besides, I wasn’t in favor of you going to the website in the first place..."

Mia interrupted, "You didn’t say that before."

"I respect all your decisions," Koa Jackson smiled, "though selfishly, I hoped you’d go to a TV station."

Mia: "?"

After a moment, she couldn’t help but laugh and asked him, "Convenient for commuting to work?"

Koa Jackson looked at her, "And back home too."

Mia lunged into his arms, hugging his waist, suddenly enlightened and said, "Then you have to be my personal driver in the future."

Mia shook her head like a rattle, "That’s not possible, I have to work."

"Have a baby with me sooner," Koa Jackson suddenly held her and said.

Mia was stunned for a moment, then looked up from his arms.

Koa Jackson’s bright and profound eyes looked at her as he smiled and explained, "Grandpa will turn one hundred on New Year’s Day; I want to surprise him."

"Previously, you were still in school."

"Then should we go home now?"

"Oh." Mia bit her lip again, feeling a bit dizzy as he held her; she started calculating while they walked, "It’s not even September yet, so if I get pregnant before New Year’s, will I not be able to continue working afterward?"

"You can start working three months after giving birth.
