The Trash Guide Awakens: The Youngest General's Hidden Wife
Chapter 47: The Planet Awakens
The encrypted symbols continued scrolling rapidly across the concealed terminal in the flagship corridor. Rhaevia stood motionless before the glowing display, her dark blue eyes narrowing as unfamiliar data streams cascaded down the screen.
The underlying mathematical encryption was undeniably ancient, pre-dating modern imperial protocols by centuries. Yet, deep within her awakened 3S Guide core, she understood distinct fragments of the script.
[PLANETARY CORE PROTOCOL: REACTIVATING.]
Her physical breathing stopped for half a second as another line of text materialized.
[SOVEREIGN ENERGY AUTHENTICATION DETECTED.]
Raevor immediately stepped beside her, his tall frame blocking the primary view from the corridor. "What did you find on that interface?" he asked, his deep voice carrying a sharp edge.
Rhaevia did not offer an immediate verbal answer, her eyes remaining glued to the data. Before she could process the metrics, the flagship suddenly trembled violently in orbit.
BOOM!
The bright overhead corridor lights flickered erratically before plunging into a dim red twilight. Piercing emergency sirens erupted simultaneously across every deck of the warship.
[WARNING: UNKNOWN PLANETARY ENERGY SURGE.]
[SOURCE: PLANET V-17.]
Raevor’s strict, handsome face turned utterly cold as he tapped his wrist terminal. "Get me the primary planetary sensor feed right now," he commanded into the fleet network.
The terminal interface instantly expanded into a three-dimensional holographic projection hovering between them. Planet V-17 materialized in the air, glowing with chaotic telemetry lines.
For three hundred and twenty-seven years, the world had been officially classified by Imperial High Command as a barren, uninhabitable death world.
Yet, something deep within its mantle was rapidly coming to life. An enormous, unclassifiable energy signature ignited directly at the planet’s core.
[ANCIENT ENERGY CORE: ACTIVATION SEQUENCE INITIATED.]
The moment the alert flashed, Rhaevia felt the sudden shift in her physical frame. Her 3S Guide core violently responded to the planetary frequency, sending a powerful wave of mental energy racing through her neural pathways.
BOOM!
Her eyes flashed with a brilliant, blinding blue radiance. The terminal before her immediately reacted to the proximity of her power.
[GUIDE SIGNATURE MATCH CONFIRMED.]
[3S SOVEREIGN-CLASS RESONANCE DETECTED.]
Raevor stared directly at the glowing golden readouts before turning his gaze back to her. "Rhaevia," he said, his voice dropping an octave.
"I can feel it," she whispered, her voice steady despite the intense internal pressure.
"What is it?" Raevor pressed, taking a half-step closer.
She pressed one pale hand against her sternum, feeling her core pulse in synchronization with the planet below.
"Something ancient beneath the mantle is waking up," she stated flatly.
Another massive energy pulse erupted from the subterranean depths. This time, the psychic wave expanded across the entire circumference of the planet, altering the landscape itself.
Down on the surface, across the western training fields, the cracked obsidian earth split apart. Ancient, hidden structures emerged from beneath thousands of years of compressed soil and stone.
Enormous black pillars rose continuously into the ash-filled sky. One, ten, then hundreds materialized, their glassy surfaces covered in pulsating crimson symbols. The academy’s surviving cadets stared in paralyzed horror as the terrain transformed.
"What in the galaxy is that?" a young Sentinel yelled, stumbling backward into the dirt.
"The entire planet is opening up!" another cadet screamed over the noise.
"Were those massive structures buried beneath us the entire time?" an instructor gasped, holding his head.
The catastrophic transformation showed no signs of stopping. Across distant, unexplored regions of V-17, colossal ruins broke through the crust.
Ancient cities constructed from seamless black metal, towering spires, fortified ramparts, and wide highways emerged into the daylight. Even majestic, ten-meter statues of unknown entities rose from the dirt.
The world that imperial society had mockingly called a worthless, barren wasteland was revealing the intact infrastructure of an ancient civilization.
Raevor’s dark eyes narrowed as he analyzed the holographic map.
"For three hundred and twenty-seven years..." he murmured softly, his tone icy cold. "This planet was never a barren wasteland."
Rhaevia looked at the scrolling classified tags floating on the interface.
[PLANETARY CLASSIFICATION: RESTRICTED.]
[CLASSIFICATION AGE: 327 YEARS.]
"No," Rhaevia agreed, her expression hardening into battle-tested steel. "Someone deliberately hid this world from the galaxy. Not because it was empty, but because it contained too much power."
She stepped closer to the primary Holo-Table, her posture composed. "It was sealed," she declared. The words echoed through the private command bridge, causing several surrounding staff officers to look back in shock.
"Sealed?" a communications officer repeated, his hands trembling over his console.
Raevor immediately grasped the political and military implications. "Sealed by whom?" he asked, looking down at her.
Rhaevia slowly shook her head. "I don’t know yet," she admitted softly.
BOOM!
Another planetary shockwave struck the flagship, rattling its heavy shields. On the surface below, every single Zerg across the continent simultaneously raised its head toward the sky.
The colossal, kneeling Sovereign remained completely motionless in the center of the training field. Its intelligent crimson eyes slowly turned downward, staring directly through the earth toward Rhaevia’s location.
Then, its raspy mental voice invaded her consciousness once more.
"The ancient seal recognizes your soul."
Rhaevia froze, her pupils contracting into sharp points.
"What seal?" she demanded internally through the mental link.
The Sovereign offered no verbal answer. Instead, the massive energy core sleeping deep beneath the planet suddenly altered its flow. The ancient power traveled rapidly upward through the mantle, through the crust, and directly through the academy’s foundation.
It was rushing straight toward her.
Raevor felt the terrifying concentration of energy locking onto their coordinates and immediately stepped directly in front of her.
"Rhaevia, step back right now!" he commanded, his 3S Sentinel aura flaring in defense.
"I can’t move," she replied, her voice remarkably calm despite the situation.
"Why?" Raevor barked, reaching out to grab her arm.
"Look down," she said softly.
The metallic deck plate beneath her combat boots had begun glowing with a brilliant crimson radiance. Intricate geometric lines spread outward across the floor in rapid succession. One line, ten lines, then hundreds of glowing circuits connected across the deck plates.
The entire platform transformed into a massive, glowing circular array. Ancient symbols materialized beneath her feet, floating in midair.
Rhaevia’s 3S Guide energy automatically surged outward in response, overriding her conscious control. The smooth black crystal buried within her mental sea pulsed violently with blinding light.
[SOVEREIGN AUTHENTICATION: ACCEPTED.]
[PRIMARY USER: IDENTIFIED.]
Raevor stared down at the glowing formation, his hand hovering near his weapon.
"Everyone get back immediately!" he ordered the surrounding personnel.
The senior instructors and guards instantly forced the remaining cadets away from the perimeter, clearing the hall.
Rhaevia remained standing precisely at the center of the array, her dark hair lifting around her face. Her eyes reflected the brilliant crimson light illuminating the platform from below.
Deep beneath the surface of Planet V-17, an ancient, multi-layered lock finally disengaged after eons of silence.
A gigantic, planetary-scale formation illuminated beneath Rhaevia’s feet, casting its light into space. And across the entire star sector, the awakened planet answered her call.
