The Imperial fleet had never known a silence so absolute.

Beyond the reinforced observation windows of the flagship, stars stretched across an endless, ink-black sea.

The engines vibrated with a low, steady pulse, and distant planets glimmered like scattered jewels against the dark, yet every officer on the command deck understood that the galaxy had fundamentally changed.

The Third Sovereign had finally entered the light.

And not a single soul aboard knew what she planned to do next.

Rhaevia stood before the panoramic viewport, her arms folded loosely across her chest as she stared into the void. Behind her, the holographic projection of the Imperial territories rotated above the central command table, illuminating the deck in shades of cobalt and silver.

Countless star systems, trade routes, military bases, and inhabited worlds appeared on the map, displaying everything known to the Empire, everything except the places that matter.

“Your Highness, the Emperor has sent another transmission,” the communications officer reported, his voice tight with cautious restraint. “He requests your immediate return to the Imperial Capital. The Imperial Council has also demanded an emergency assembly regarding the Third Sovereign.”

Rhaevia did not turn around.

“How many transmissions have they sent?”

“Seventeen, Your Highness.”

“And how many have you answered?”

The officer hesitated, his hand hovering over the console. “None.”

“Good.”

A few junior officers exchanged tense, uncertain glances across the glowing consoles.

General Raevor Veyr stood beside the central table, his military uniform immaculate and uncreased. His expression remained composed, yet the subtle movement of his eyes showed he was watching Rhaevia’s posture and breath.

“You are not planning to return,” Raevor said, his deep voice cutting cleanly through the ambient atmosphere of the bridge.

It was a statement, not a question.

Rhaevia finally turned around, her boots tapping softly against the deck plates. “Not yet.”

“The Imperial Council will not appreciate that decision.”

“They can add it to the lengthy list of things they do not appreciate about me.”

A brief silence fell across the command deck.

Raevor’s mouth almost curved into a smile, the stern line of his jaw softening for a mere fraction of a second.

Rhaevia approached the holographic map and swept her slender fingers across its light-bound surface. The familiar imperial territories faded into faint grids, replaced by a sweeping projection of the galaxy’s outer boundaries.

Beyond the Empire’s established routes lay vast, dark sectors marked only by incomplete surveys, unstable spatial coordinates, and stern warnings against unauthorized navigation.

Uncharted space spread before them like an open wound.

It was the final frontier of modern civilization, cold and untamed.

“I want to take the flagship beyond the Empire’s recognized borders,” she announced, her voice carrying across the room.

A senior navigation officer immediately straightened in surprise. “Your Highness, those regions have not undergone comprehensive military surveys. Several routes suffer from severe spatial instability, and multiple star systems have been officially classified as unsuitable for colonization.”

“Classified by whom?”

“The Imperial Astronomical Bureau, Your Highness.”

“Based on what concrete evidence?”

The officer opened his mouth to explain, then abruptly closed it as he realized the trap.

Rhaevia raised an eyebrow, her expression cool and unimpressed. “Exactly.”

She expanded the projection with a quick flick of her hand, bringing clusters of unexplored systems into sharp focus.

“The Third Sovereign appeared without warning. We do not know where she came from, what she has been preparing, or how much influence she has already established in the dark. If we return to the capital and wait for the Council to argue about her existence, we will surrender the initiative before we have even begun.”

Her gaze sharpened into a cold, decisive edge. “I want reconnaissance teams, astronomical researchers, geological specialists, and full military escorts. We will investigate these uncharted systems, identify raw resources, and establish secure routes for expansion.”

“And if we encounter her forces?” Raevor asked, leaning slightly forward against the console.

“Then we will learn precisely what they are capable of doing.”

“That sounds suspiciously like volunteering for trouble.”

“Coming from the man who followed me into an ancient battlefield infested with Zerg, I will take that as encouragement,” she replied smoothly.

This time, the faint smile on Raevor’s face fully surfaced. “You have my support.”

The answer came so quickly, so without hesitation, that several surrounding officers looked toward the major general in surprise.

Rhaevia studied his calm face. “You have not even asked where we are going.”

“Wherever you decide to go,” he answered plainly.

For a moment, the surrounding clatter of the command deck seemed to recede. There had been a time when people followed Rhaevia solely because of her physical power, her elevated title, or the authority sleeping deep within her soul.

Raevor’s decision was different. He had already chosen to stand by her when she rejected the throne, the preordained destiny, and the realm that the universe insisted she reclaim. He was choosing her again, purely for who she was.

Rhaevia looked away first, carefully concealing the faint warmth rising in her chest. “Then prepare the fleet, General.”

“At once.”

Orders immediately rippled across the command deck like wildfire. Navigation officers began plotting complex jump coordinates, research teams received high-priority deployment notices, and elite reconnaissance divisions assembled their combat gear.

Within minutes, the flagship’s designated flight path changed from the Imperial Capital to the distant, uncharted boundary of known space.

As the frantic preparations continued, Rhaevia caught a subtle irregularity out of the corner of her eye.

A faint, golden pulse flickered beneath the central holographic map, throbbing like a slow heartbeat.

She frowned, stepping closer to the light. “Stop the projection.”

The rotating map froze instantly.

“Display the original navigation data from the core database,” she instructed.

The officer obeyed, tapping a sequence into his console. Modern astronomical charts appeared, layered over centuries of accumulated stellar observations. Rhaevia extended her right hand, allowing a thread of her golden Sovereign energy to flow directly into the light projector.

The golden pulse flared violently into a brilliant light.

Then, the entire command deck shuddered underfoot.

A series of symbols materialized above the map, floating in midair with geometric precision. Their intricate shapes belonged to no modern alphabet known to interstellar society.

Panic rippled through the crew as the flagship’s primary defense systems immediately began issuing automated warnings.

[OLD STAR MAP DETECTED.]

[ORIGIN: UNKNOWN.]

[AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED.]

Rhaevia’s eyes narrowed as she stared at the ancient script. “Authorization granted.”

The floating symbols flashed brightly, shifting into a brilliant cascade of golden light.

A second system notification replaced the warning banner.

[CREATOR SOUL SIGNATURE VERIFIED.]

An absolute silence fell over the command deck once more.

Across the sprawling holographic projection, unfamiliar stars began to ignite one after another, burning through the darkness of the uncharted sectors.

Seven distinct worlds emerged from the blank space, each surrounded by precise spatial coordinates that held no place in any modern astronomical database.

The map then expanded exponentially, revealing the staggering, immense distances separating the hidden worlds.

A senior astronomer rushed toward the display, his complexion drained of all color as he scanned the readouts.

“Impossible. These coordinates simply do not exist in any recognized chart.”

“Check the deep historical archives,” Raevor ordered, his hand resting on the hilt of his sidearm.

“I am already running the search, General,” the astronomer stammered, shaking his head. “There are no references anywhere. No exploration reports, no survey logs, no planetary classifications.”

Rhaevia stared intently at the seven worlds suspended in the air. Someone had deliberately hidden them from history. They had not been forgotten by time. They had been intentionally erased from existence.

A final notification materialized across the display in bold, blood-red lettering.

[SEVEN FORBIDDEN WORLDS IDENTIFIED.]

[WARNING: THESE WORLDS WERE DELIBERATELY REMOVED FROM MODERN ASTRONOMICAL RECORDS.]

Rhaevia felt something old stir deep within her soul. A fleeting fragment of a memory hovered just beyond her reach, accompanied by the distant, phantom echo of a voice she had once known in a forgotten life.

“If you find these worlds again, Sovereign, it means the seal has failed.”

Her fingers curled tightly into fists at her sides.

The distant stars beyond the thick observation window suddenly seemed much farther away than before.

“General,” she called out, her tone steady yet grim.

Raevor immediately moved to stand directly by her side. “Yes?”

Rhaevia kept her eyes locked on the seven crimson-bordered worlds glowing above the console. “Change our destination.”

“Which world shall we target first?”

She turned her head and met his silver eyes with unwavering resolve. “All seven.”
