The Trash Guide Awakens: The Youngest General's Hidden Wife
Chapter 102: Sovereign Command
The golden prompt remained suspended in the air before Rhaevia, shining with an ancient, unyielding clarity.
[WHAT IS YOUR COMMAND?]
For several long seconds, she simply stared at the hovering text, her breath trapped inside her chest. She had spent countless lifetimes fighting against forces she barely understood, driven forward by survival and duty.
She had commanded armies on dying worlds, stood before collapsing civilizations, and surrendered her own existence for billions of lives. But this moment was entirely different.
This time, she was not acting because an imperial order demanded it. She was not simply reacting through the instinct of an ancient sovereign.
She was choosing her own path with absolute clarity.
Rhaevia slowly raised her hand, her slender fingers outstretched toward the interface. Behind her, Raevor watched her every movement, his silver eyes fixed on her form.
“What are you going to command?” he asked, his low voice grounding her amidst the rising energy.
Rhaevia turned her gaze toward the massive display occupying the main wall of the flagship. Across the planetary surface, thousands of Zerg forces were still surging across the ruined metropolis.
Massive, armored Zerg beasts tore through defensive barricades, while smaller swarms flooded the shattered streets below. Their biological energy signatures filled the screen like a vast, suffocating sea of crimson points.
High above the atmosphere, the Imperial fleet was adjusting its primary energy cannons, preparing for another orbital bombardment. Rhaevia’s eyes narrowed as she watched the destruction unfolding below.
“Stop,” she whispered quietly.
The word was barely more than a breath, soft and understated. Yet the system interface captured the vibration immediately.
[COMMAND RECEIVED.]
A blinding supernova of golden Sovereign energy suddenly erupted from Rhaevia’s body, flooding the command deck. The entire flagship groaned as its spatial engines resonated with the sudden surge of power.
[SOVEREIGN AUTHORITY: ACTIVATING.]
A massive shockwave of golden light expanded outward from her frame, passing seamlessly through the ship’s bulkheads. It swept through the hull, pierced the upper atmosphere, and crashed over the planetary surface below.
Across the entire battlefield, every single Zerg unit froze instantly.
A colossal Guzan Land Zerg, its razor-sharp claws raised high above an Imperial tank, locked mid-strike. A swarming pack of ravenous D-rank Zergs charging toward a defensive line halted simultaneously.
A-rank winged Zergs climbing across the sides of ruined skyscrapers stopped, their limbs pressed firmly against the stone. Even subterranean beasts burrowed deep beneath the planetary crust and went motionless.
The entire planet fell into a terrifying silence.
Raevor stared at the primary display, his posture going rigid as he analyzed the data streams. Every hostile biological signature on the surface had ceased movement without exception.
“What did you just do?” he asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
Rhaevia’s eyes widened as she looked at her own trembling hands. “I didn’t command them to retreat,” she murmured, her voice shaking.
She could feel something far deeper pulsing through the fabric of space. The Zerg forces were not merely paralyzed by an external force.
They were actively listening to her soul.
Rhaevia closed her eyes, letting her consciousness expand outward through the golden field. In an instant, thousands of alien minds brushed against her awareness, flooding her mind with raw sensory data.
She felt their primal hunger, their instinctual fear, their confusion, and a sudden, sharp spike of recognition. Beneath all of those erratic instincts lay an absolute, unbreakable submission.
Her breath caught in her throat as the realization settled in her chest.
They can hear me, she thought, her heart hammering against her ribs.
The holographic console flashed with a series of new system notifications.
[SOVEREIGN COMMAND FIELD ESTABLISHED.]
[ZERG HIERARCHY: OVERRIDDEN.]
[ALL ACTIVE ZERG UNITS: AWAITING INSTRUCTION.]
Raevor’s expression turned grim as he stepped up beside her, looking at the system feedback. “All of them?”
Rhaevia slowly opened her eyes, golden light swirling within her pupils.
“Yes,” she whispered.
Another pulse of golden energy traveled out from her body, cascading down to the planet like a gentle curtain of light. Below, the frozen Zerg army began to move once more, but not in violence.
One after another, the massive creatures lowered their heads and pressed their bodies against the earth. Thousands upon thousands of Zergs bowed in unison toward the sky, submitting to her presence.
Even the most brutal S-rank beasts that had been slaughtering Imperial soldiers lowered their armored heads. Even those that had previously tried to rip Rhaevia apart showed no trace of aggression.
There was no resistance, no hesitation, and no instinctive rebellion within their ranks. They simply obeyed the supreme voice of their creator.
The breathtaking sight left Rhaevia entirely speechless, her lips parted in awe. She had anticipated authority, but she had never envisioned a connection this absolute.
This was not merely an advanced psychic influence or a temporary mind-control field. It was an indelible biological recognition embedded within the deepest core of their evolution.
The Zerg did not view her as a military commander or an imperial officer. They recognized her as something divine, standing above their entire caste hierarchy.
Raevor took another step toward her, his shadow falling over her shoulder.
“Rhaevia,” he called gently.
She turned her head to look at him, her golden aura humming softly around her frame.
His sharp features were set in an unusually solemn expression. “Are you all right?”
She gave a slow, deliberate nod.
“I think so,” she whispered, her voice regaining its steady edge.
Her gaze drifted back toward the planetary tactical view, taking in the serene stillness of the battle zone. “If my command can reach every one of them…”
She took a deep breath, her eyes blazing with conviction. “Then I can end this war right here.”
She raised her hand toward the console once more, projecting her intent through the golden field.
“Do not attack,” she commanded through the neural web.
The directive propagated instantly across every star system sector within reach.
[COMMAND ACCEPTED.]
Across the devastated cities, every Zerg unit retracted its razor-sharp claws and folded its wings. The relentless, terrifying war that had consumed the sector ceased in an instant.
Warm tears gathered at the corners of Rhaevia’s eyes as she watched the display. For the first time across all her lives, she understood the true meaning of her sovereign existence.
It was not about possessing the power to annihilate every force that stood against her. It was about holding enough absolute authority to halt the destruction entirely.
She turned her head to look up at Raevor. “I used to think being a Sovereign meant becoming a monster everyone feared.”
Raevor looked back at her, a subtle, gentle warmth softening his silver eyes. “Maybe it means becoming the one voice the universe is forced to listen to.”
A faint, breathless smile touched her lips, relieving the tension in her shoulders.
Before the moment could settle, a sudden, suffocating pressure descended upon the flagship’s command deck. The artificial gravity vibrated violently, and the air grew icy cold.
Rhaevia’s smile vanished instantly as her golden aura flickered erratically.
Down on the planet’s surface, millions of Zerg units simultaneously snapped their heads upward toward the void of space. The primary display distorted into a storm, severing internal communications.
Raevor reacted in a fraction of a second, shifting his stance to place himself directly in front of her.
“What is happening?” he demanded, his Sentinel aura flaring to shield her.
Rhaevia couldn’t answer, her voice trapped in her throat. She could feel a massive energy signature piercing through her Sovereign Command Field.
A presence had entered the network, something cold and vast. It crossed the light-years between star systems without the need for a physical ship or spatial gate.
The holographic console flashed with blood-red warnings that pulsed like a dying heart.
[WARNING.]
[UNAUTHORIZED ANCIENT ENTITY DETECTED.]
Rhaevia’s heart slammed violently against her ribs as the temperature in the room plummeted.
Suddenly, a resonant voice echoed directly inside her mind, bypassing every physical barrier. It was not loud or aggressive, yet it reverberated through every fiber of her soul.
Every Zerg unit on the planet heard it, every soldier in the fleet felt its interference, and Rhaevia heard it clearest of all. The voice carried a terrifying familiarity that cut deeper than her current life, deeper than her memories, and deeper than time itself.
The True King had arrived.
“So…” the voice murmured into the silence of her mind, shaking the very foundations of the ship.
“You finally remembered how to command them.”
